“We are so lucky to have such a nice gem local to shawnigan. We come here often. Whether you are doing a romantic date night or going for a drink after work, this is the place to be. The food and drink menus are always changing to suit local and seasonal ingredients. The cocktails are next level. We usually spend a bit of money coming here for a full meal and a few rounds of drinks but it is absolutely worth it. The servers and bar team are always so friendly and welcoming too. We've never been disappointed coming here“

“We had an amazing experience at the Alpina Restaurant. The restaurant is well appointed and the view is stunning (even with some rain and clouds). The food was absolutely outstanding (especially the beet salad) and we enjoyed literally every bite. Both our servers were very good. It was fine-dining level expensive and worth every penny. Was perfect for our anniversary celebration. Definitely recommend!“

“I dislike all drinking teas, so have coffee with my afternoon tea. I commented to out server, that it would have been much preferable to have coffee served in an individual French Press, rather than from a thermos (not great coffee). Also, it is much "classier", in keeping with the overall experience.“

“My wife and I love the Cow Bay view from booths, and overall restaurant ambiance, but it is the food that brings us back. Seafood Linguini, and the Katsu Bowl are favourites. In fact, we’ve just done take out orders of 2 Katsu Bowls, 2nd time in a week. This is a most excellent taste sensation, a combination of Thai (peanut & coconut) Japanese (Katsu crispy chicken) and creamy chow mein noodles with veggies. Try It! Yummy!“

“Truffle fries were nice, sushi was good, chicken wings were tasty. Seafood chowder, however, was too thick and had an off taste. Service was good. View was pleasant. Unfortunately, we were seated among a number of other groups, and it was quite loud. We struggled to understand each other.“
