“Took a few friends here last Saturday afternoon and we ended up staying way longer than planned because the atmosphere was just so cozy and unhurried. The matcha latte was genuinely one of the better ones I've had in Surrey, not too sweet and beautifully made. Staff were warm and attentive without being hovery, which is honestly rare. Definitely coming back, probably dragging more people with me next time.“

“We decided to drop by & order take out food . It only took 20 minutes wait , then went back to my car but my car won’t start on the first day of snow& was very cold. I called BCAA but it will take an hour & a half to arrive. Went back inside the restaurant & told the lady, she said ohh your food will be cold, offered us a table to eat( no dine in ) & gave us hot tea & bottled water. We are very thankful for their hospitality & kindness. It showed the true meaning of CARING.“

“Friendly family run breakfast noodle shop located in the food court attached to T&T in Surrey.
The prices here are very decent and the front counter team is very friendly. They usually have a decent sized line of people - so be prepared to wait a little bit.
It’s good to satisfy a morning noodle craving.“

“Flourishing is the absolute best Chinese restaurant in the lower mainland. I have been a customer for over 20 years and the food is always perfect, delivered fast and hot with a friendly smile. I recommend 💯%“

“This is one of the more waiting time restaurants in the mall and some parts are interesting to say the least. But the food is still good. The wait time was 30 minutes but he tasted the soup twice and grabbed the food with his bare hands twice. Would recommend for the meat pie but not for the sanitarian reason.“

“The food is always great. We usually order Lemon Chicken, S & S Pork, Chow Mein, Fried Rice and Beef & Broccoli. The S & S soup is great along with the Deep Fried Prawns. We've been ordering takeout for decades. Bare bones restaurant front but the food is worth it. The only issue is finding parking as other establishments on the street demand multiple parking spots all day long. Bring a passenger who can jump out and grab your order if needed.“

“Legit Korean-Chinese food.
My dad used to make Korean Chinese food for us when we were little and it was so similar to homemade Korean Chinese food.
I’ve been to at least 5 different places because I missed home, I came without big expectations but everything was great.
Food: authentic, quality food with great quantity. I don’t think you can get this much quality and quantity at the same time. 5/5
We had the family size.
Jjajangmyeon + Jjamppong + tangsuyook
Tangsuyook - I was trying to choose between mini and family. I’d def choose the fam size. The portion was big so we had it to go. It had lots of meat and crispy outer layer. The sauce was really good too. It didnt have any oil smell either. 5/5
Jjajangmyeon - korean jjajangmyeon these days are quite sweet because they want to use less chunjang, but this place doesnt have lots of sugar taste instead it has the umami taste of chunjang. Which means they use more chunjang to have the original taste.
This was really good jjm I had in a while.
Jjampong - the veggies were fire charred you can slightly taste the fire in the broth. The broth is also very deep and rich. This was the best jjampong broth I had in awhile. LOTS OF SQUID too. For Jjampong, I’ve seen so many places have broccoli. (Broccoli = not legit) This was my favorite in tonights menu.
WE CLEARED EVERYTHING.
Cleanliness: table was not sticky nor slippery, all the utensils and even the sauce on the side was clean. Washroom was clean as well.
Plus points! THEY HAVE HUGE PARKING SPACE TOO!
The lady who served us at the table was so nice and kind.
Will def come back! Please be in business for a long time, thank you for serving good quality food!“

“I am so glad that I found this place! It is going to be my "go to" Chinese food restaurant from now on. Best bang for your buck (ie: your dishes are not overtaken by onion "filler"). Friendly and quick service, delicious food with quality ingredients.“
“Fairly large portion for the price. Lots of savoury tender pieces of lamb generously seasoned with cumin spice and a hint of chili heat. The onions and scallions were fresh and fragrant. I waited about 15-16 mins for the food, which seemed a bit slow for a food court but I didn’t mind knowing it was made to order as everything was fresh and hot when I picked it up. You can choose to eat in the food court (plenty of seating) or take away. This Taiwanese food stall seemed pretty busy with the most popular item being the Taiwanese crispy fried chicken nuggets…I think I might try that next time I’m in the Henderson Ctr mall.“

“Have been coming for years. They have an authentic Chinese Cantonese style of cooking. It appears their take out gets more traffic than pre-Covid. They are so welcoming and know many customers by name and face. Great Chinese food and always welcoming.
Recommend trying the salt and pepper squid“

“They are under New Management and I am impressed! I've tried nearly every Chinese Restaurant in Mission & Maple Ridge and haven't found one that impressed me until today. The dishes were properly flavoured without being overly salty. Nothing was over-cooked even though I had a 30 minute drive home. The servings were generous, even overflowing from their containers. Well done! I have noticed that they also have Dim Sum on weekends from noon-2 pm and look forward to trying that next.“

“The last few times we have been to the Maple Ridge location the staff are very friendly and we get our food fast. Only problem is after we get our food we are ignored, they don't come back and ask if we want more water or anything else or how is everything cause all the staff is too busy gathered around the bar chatting to each other“

“Honestly this place is on of the best authentic Chinese gourmet restaurants here in the Tri-Cities. I've tried almost everything on the menu and each one is spot on. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for large portions at a really good price.
Along with their food, their service is also great. It is authentic to true Chinese customer service and every time I go there, they are always nice to all the customers. I have seen them handle some pretty entitled customers well, I could not have done better myself!
Super great place to each with family, all the fried noodles and rice are definitely big enough to be sharing portions, and for such a great price too!! Definitely try this place out!“

“Starlake Chinese Food in Langley is one of those places that surprises you with how consistently good it is. The restaurant doesn’t rely on flash or gimmicks — it delivers solid, reliable Chinese takeout with portions that actually justify the price. Every dish arrives hot, properly seasoned, and clearly cooked by a kitchen that understands timing and consistency.
The fried rice is one of their strongest items. It’s not greasy, the grains stay separate, and you can taste actual wok heat — something a lot of places miss. Their chow mein has the right texture: noodles with a slight chew, vegetables that stay crisp, and a balanced sauce that doesn’t drown the dish. The ginger beef is another standout. It’s crispy without being over‑fried, the sauce has real ginger bite, and it doesn’t turn into a sticky mess like you see at lower‑quality spots.
Their sweet‑and‑sour pork is exactly what you want from a classic takeout dish: tender pieces, a clean batter, and a sauce that’s tangy without being overly sugary. Even their vegetable dishes show care — everything stays bright, not soggy, and the seasoning is balanced instead of salty.
Service is fast and straightforward. Staff are polite, orders are accurate, and pickup times are honest. When they say 15 minutes, it’s 15 minutes — not 30. Even on busy nights, the food quality doesn’t drop. Packaging is tight, nothing leaks, and everything stays hot until you get home.
Overall, Starlake is a dependable, well‑run Chinese takeout spot that focuses on doing the basics right. If you want consistently good food, generous portions, and quick service, Starlake is one of the better choices in Langley.“

“Best authentic Chinese food in Langley with great pricing. If you are looking for the sweet and sour fusion nonsense it won’t be this place.
Brought many clients and friends over here since 2019 and no one left disappointed. New servers are attentive and hard working as well, which you don’t see anymore in many places. Highly recommend to anyone who wants good food“

“Been getting my filipino food here since 2008 and sure the price went up now its 2023 but the quality of the food never changed everything taste how i expect it to taste. For the past 15 years i still drop by to this old, clean and simple restaurant. Unfortunately as of this year they don’t do dine in.“

“I never realized how well cilantro pairs with plain rice porridge. Its fresh aroma transformed the simple white congee into a flavorful and comforting Chinese-style dish. The dim sum was equally enjoyable, with each item highlighting the freshness and natural flavors of its ingredients. A wonderful place to share a delicious meal with family.“

“It wasn’t even on the menu but they were so kind, they made this out of my idea👍🏻
The roasted pork was perfectly crispy and rich of moist(I don’t understand for those who said it’s dry lol, it’s juicy). I recommend wontons(only when they’re in the soup).
Talking about flavors, honestly, I expected to get more flavorful taste from the pork and noodle(good thing they have condiment aside on the table)…but the warm soup was so comforting.
The waiters are all Chinese and some are pretty old, I gotta hold a bit of my patience tho😌
Btw, this is what I ordered: Roasted pork on top of the noodles&wontons with the soup aside(22$)“

“We often order from New Chow's Kitchen. We've enjoyed everything we've tried.
Our orders usual include some of the following: War Won Ton soup, Sweet and Sour Pork, Chow Mein, Beef and Broccoli, and Egg Foo Yung.
If you plan ahead and place your order about 4-4:30 you will have pretty quick delivery. If you order after 5:00 then they are always super busy and you'll be waiting an hour or more.
The last time I was there to pick up, I noted that they do have a few tables if you want to eat in, the front area is newly redecorated.
I would recommend New Chow's.“

“I ordered through a delivery service, but one can always get cheaper prices with a pickup. I have ordered from this restaurant a good number of times. Food has always been tasty, fresh, good portions, some nice specials and combos, and not stingy with meat inclusions. Plus, they follow special requests faithfully. Not certain why the odd site has given lower ratings while other higher. I think perhaps it would be good for management to reply to some concerns. From Pitt Meadows, BC“

“I think you’ve changed your cook because the chop suey has changed a lot & not for the good. Way too much cabbage in it when there was never in it before. I miss the book choy , bean sprouts & more celery & baby corm. Price has gone up but you’re now using cabbage as a filler. The chow Mein was greasy & our sweet & sour pork was a little fatty. This was a order for pick up & we have been going here for a long time so to see the quality of the food going down is disappointing.“

“I recently visited this Chinese restaurant and was blown away by both the food and the service. Every dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with real attention to detail. The flavours were authentic without being overly heavy, and the portions were very generous.
Our server Sania was warm, attentive, and made great recommendations—everything came out quickly and piping hot. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a welcoming atmosphere.
Highly recommend the wonton soup, chicken chow-mein, chicken fried rice, ginger beef, and spring rolls. I’ll definitely be coming back. 👏🥢“

“Simple neighborhood restaurant. They probably have more delivery and takeout orders which we used. Had chicken fried rice and crispy chow mein, which we liked. It was almost $20 for each dish. If you want to dine in, there's ample seating.“
