“Amazing place.

Old school house with a wonderful fireplace. Jazzy music set great vibes. Comfortable with big tables.

Food was great, good quality, portions, presentation etc. Everything was on point, and pricing was good. I was surprised at how empty the place was, it makes no sense. Maybe they need a giant sign. A place like this should be packed all the time. I eat copious amounts of sushi and trust me when I say this place rocks.

I look forward to coming back and I hope the patio is open for summer because it's perf.“

“Last week I went to this sushi house with a friend. The chef was so accommodating and booked me delicious salmon with no teriyaki sauce. The server couldn’t have been nicer and was so polite about my food preferences. We really enjoyed all the food. Then I left my van keys in their restaurant. I went to a movie next door and when I realized I had left my keys in there a neighbouring owner called them and the chef drove back with my keys, even though they have shut and he had gone home. What an amazing restaurant!!!“

“We ordered the sashimi dinner bento and the chicken teri bento which both come really fast. The sushi was not bad and same for the tempura. And you do get quite a lot of food so I think it’s a ok price for $28 and $33.
I think I’ll probably come here again. So I think I’ll give it a 4.5 stars“

We had left the restaurant and walking to our car when she followed us outside and questioned about her service. What she was inquiring about was her tip that she felt she was entitled to! After informing her the tip was on the table she immediately turned around and left without offering a thank you. What the hell?“

“I ordered omakase nigiri, mackerel and eel hako sushi, black cod saikyo yaki, and agedashi-tofu to takeout for our anniversary dinner. All of them are amazing! Especially, mackerel hako sushi was the best of all mackerel that I ate in Canada. Not only the fish, sushi rice was so good! Thanks to these great foods, we could spend the great anniversary! If you are looking for the real Japanese amazing sushi, I strongly recommend Yugafu!“

We got 6 inari sushi pockets and they were AMAZING. I would definitely come back and have them again.
There is no seating in Sushi Tree, we just sat in a grassy patch nearby to eat them, which was no problem.“

“Small place with some booths and open seating, friendly welcoming staff. Came in for lunch, wasn’t too busy and we sat right down and ordered some tea. We decided on our lunch, miso and some rolls. The miso was hot, delicious umami goodness in a bowl. The rolls came shortly after and didn’t disappoint. So fresh, so tasty and satisfying. Our attentive waitress brought more tea and checked in us during our meal. Spot on service.

“I love everything that I ordered today, the pork katsu and shrimp curry was amazing, so crunchy, and with the sauce plus the sesame seeds that you grinded yourself while you waited for the meal to come, it smelled good and fresh. I also like the cabbage salad with its sauce and miso soup on the side. Although to me it's a bit pricier than other restaurants, I left the place feeling full and satisfied.“

“This is one of the best sushi restaurants in Surrey. Me and my family order from here atleast once a week, and dine in on special occasions. The sushi and seafood is consistently fresh and delicious. The Japanese dishes and Korean dishes are also incredibly tasty. The staff are attentive, hard working, and friendly. “Sushi is pretty good and reasonable for the price! Only con is they MADE us pay 25 cents for a bag.... they insisted a bag was needed to carry the platter (we got a combo), even though we had carry bags of our own, some of which are quite large.

We thought it would be wide enough to carry the platter by the handles but the platter was still in sideways, and we still had to carry it by holding the bottom. So.... we didn't need the bag after all.

4 stars for that reason, otherwise the place is fine for sushi.“

“Authentic Japanese mom and pop sushi restaurant! It tasted just like you were in Japan. Each dish was high quality and the ingredients were fresh. The plates are also very beautiful. They seriously had the best unagi roll we ever tried! Go for the unagi roll. Other highlights were the assorted tempura which were perfectly fried and the premium nigiri set is expensive but worth it as they had amazing anago nigiri and the toro and Uni were creamy and delicious! The miso soup is above average and the crispy oysters were also good. Just wish they also served oyster motoyaki with the mayo sauce style.“

We've been going here quite frequently actually, the food is made to order and it's quick, fresh and convenient. For a fast food type sushi place, it satisfies the craving.“

My favourite must-try’s are the Crab meat mushroom, agedashi tofu, kani sunomono, dynamite & California rolls, and the Teriyaki Box (beef or chicken).“

“This is my 4 or 5th time taking out food and I finally decided leave a review. Best bang for your buck for Japanese food in the Coquitlam center area, and dare I say even in the Tri Cities. You can get chicken teriyaki for $12.95 with plenty of meat and veges, enough to fill you up. The Korean-style spicy chirashi don is the best value that I've seen so far - $15.95 for a huge and delicious meal.

This wasn't all the food we ordered, but at least 50% of it and I must say, the sushi was really good and tasted fresh, the tempura had a nice batter to it and the chicken yakisoba had a good balance of veggies and noodles.
The staff were very nice and the food came out within a decent amount of time.
The price for the lunch bentos ranged $21-30, and the choose your own items was $21 (3 items) - $24 (4 items) and the sushi combos were about $18-21, but the amount of food you get was A LOT! So I'd say for the amount and quality, it's worth the price tag.

“A neat Korean restaurant located at Henderson Mall. Their food is good and they don't mark up their prices for UberEats or DoorDash, which makes them a solid choice for delivery orders. The benefit of dining in is that their side dishes are complimentary, whereas it's not for takeout/delivery.“
