“We came on a Friday night for dinner. Like many people have said, parking is limited to the few spots at the front or else you would need to find parking on the back streets. The back street is residential area with no street lights so it can be scary to walk by yourself.
The food was very tasty and good portion. But I found the soup a bit heavy on MSG. Food came out really fast. The side dishes is unlimited refill.
The service was excellent and attentive. The server checked on us every 10 minutes or so. She knew it was our first time trying the hot plate so she helped us quite a bit. She explained how to eat the food quite well.
Parking: Difficult to find parking at the front. Free side street parking with 7-10 minutes walk.“

“New Management!!
It was a shame that there weren't many Korean restaurants near Edmonds, but it's a delicious place that's just right without being salty :) This place is run by the owner of Angel Food, which is famous for its cost-effectiveness and taste in Lougheed! All of the leftovers are delicious, and the ‘Han Sang’ menu is really good value for money (first of all, the taste is basically guaranteed). Although the menu changes every day, it’s a shame that I can’t eat the menu on other days, but I think I’ll come here more often! It's not a review event at all. I really like the owner's food so I wanted to spread the word to many people haha. Please try it at least once.“

“Service is really good. Highly recommended. The meat in barbecue combo is nice- tender and tasty, especially the marinated pork and beef, though the portion can be more.
Tofu kimchi soup and the vegetable salad that came along with the barbecue combo were really good!
The portion of small Gamjatang is generous, though I feel the taste is average.
Overall a nice experience!“

“This Korean BBQ spot is absolutely one of my favs in Lougheed. The pork and beef bbq and also side dishes were as flavorful as they were plentiful. The bibimbap was super comforting and the soups were rich.
The store was quite busy but very welcoming with the staff.“

“I don’t often write reviews (I think I have 4 on my profile?) but in my opinion, this justifies a strong review.
Weekend craving for fried chicken hits, and the reviews looked good, 10 minute drive, so decided to try it out.
In short: SO good.
The pork belly bao was unnnnnnnreal, the soy garlic chicken was super tasty and the spicy chicken was solid.
Small location, seems like a family business (maybe mother and daughter?) who were both very friendly when I picked up the food and the food was ready in 10 minutes like they said.
Definitely coming back ?“

“Good korean food. We ordered family combo and the portion was very generous. For 4 adults & 1 kid, we had plenty of leftover for lunch the following day.
- Tangsuyuk: our favorite! The pork was juicy yet the coating was super crispy. The most delicious part was the sauce! It had the perfect acidity and sweetness for the fried pork.
- Kkanpungki: good. The chicken pieces were big and the meat was juicy. The coating was crispy. The sauce was good but we had better sauce.
- Tray Jajangmyeon: the noodle was perfectly cooked (chewy but still had a bite). The black bean sauce was delicious and there were plenty of seafood and ground pork pieces.“
“It's so delicious.? It's not expensive, but it tastes just like the delicious kimbap that my mom used to make at home when I was young....❤️ I was very impressed that they even gave me soup as a service. And the man who took my order was very kind :)“

“???‼️✅️✅️We found another great place for Korean meals✅️✅️✳️. This restaurant is on Edmonds, and it is just a GREAT place to go for a GREAT tasting meal- with many menu choices! We had a few samplings from their menu -which were extremely tasty, generous portions, and the server could not have been nicer, or more helpful! It is VERY clean! We had between us- beef bone soup-OH MY-the taste and broth was BY FAR THE BEST around this far✅️✅️‼️ I didn't want it to end!! We tried cheesy shrimp fried rice, and egg-OH geez-another meal of SUPER flavours! Then we had Spicy Pork Don ! Ohhh! GREAT, new, and SO tasty to us as well! The really welcoming friendly owner came to our table to bring some of his preparations to us- and I HAD to get a picture of this? lovely smiling man, who cooks these great meals in the back kitchen-our server, and I also met 2 other contributors! This is just a SUPER" down to earth-and GREAT?? HOMEY" food place!! NOT a big restaurant, and just HAPPY people eating good food, and ENJOYING as well! We ALL WILL be back- and order from here‼️ Well worth everything and, VERY reasonable pricing!“

“Went here for sunday lunch and it didnt disappoint. No wait, we were seated right away. Took long to take our order but once she took it, everything came quick. Ordered the Hapnam set and deep fried mandus and these were more than enough for 3 people. We even had some leftovers. The food was very tasty, and unlike in other korean BBQ places, they cook the meat for you at Sooda. It was great but also awkward to have someone standing beside you cooking. We wouldnt have minded cooking the meat ourselves. The marinade of the meat was tasty but not overwhelming, just right. The kimchi was not as expected but still good .it wasnt spicy, barely had spice, and it wasnt fermented either. When we asked for more, we had to wait because they were still making it. Its ok if you dont mind it un- fermented. Different but good experience overall.“

“There is no Korean restaurant in the Lower Mainland I have found that competes with Goru Goru Food (고루고루) on taste and price. It's a small deli (meaning its best to takeout) that delivers through Ubereats or you can pick up in Poco at 3270 Coast Meridian. They used to be in the Henderson Mall in Coquitlam. The absolute best 제육덮밥 (Spicy Pork with Rice) I have ever had and that's after 5 years living in Korea. Their 떡볶이 (Spicy Rice Noodle) is exactly what you would get from a rated food truck in Seoul and not over priced like many in Canada. The storefront looks unassuming but there is magic in the food and lots of pre-made frozen options available as well. And the prices are more than competitive!!“

“Amazing food and atmosphere! We had a reservation for 4 on a Sunday night, and were serviced very quickly. We ordered the clam bibimbap, seafood hotpot and fried squid. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. While it may be a bit on the pricey side, my family and I found it incredibly worth. We look forward to coming again!“

“Seen many Korean street side chicken places on You Tube. Decided to give this a try for the first time . Went to the location on Canada Way. Ordered the family Sweet Soy Chicken & Fries Took awhile to prepare the food (15 mins) No wonder ,huge amount of chicken box was packed full. Large pieces very flavorful, not greasy at all like Churches grease feast j chicken . Fries were amazing .I found a new go to place to buy chicken for a game . A tad pricey, buy I assure you very well worth the money . If this place franchises, they will give KFC & Churches very serious condition . My first time there , highly impressed. I highly recommended you try this. Will not be disappointed. Very pleasant staff. Simple decor, but the service & food will amaze you . Thank you so very much for an amazing meal. I will definitely will be returning . Added a picture, this is after 3 people eating Big pieces and loads left ... Go visit this place . You won't regret it !!!“

“The kimchi and kimchi that came as a side dish was really crazy. It's torn into long strips to make it easier to eat. It was so delicious that my companion and I refilled it. We also heard that they sell it separately (in one container for $20 before tax), so we bought it. The main menu was okay, but the kimchi was really delicious. Thier house made kimchi served as a side dish is the best one I had in Canada. Sweet and spicy. and cut well enough to eat. We had to ask for a refill as we loved it so much. If you ask the server, their kimchi is available for takeout for $20. Had to buy one.“

“The owner is very friendly and explains very well the different options. Food is tasty but the serving amount could be bigger. Notice that if you're not used to spicy(hot) food even the food that the owner claims is not spicy at all will be very spicy for you.“

“Consistent quality of food here at Kook's Cooks. The food is extremely tasty and there are a good variety of foods to try, ranging from pizza, pasta, brunch food, burgers, salads, and they come with some Korean flavours too. Everything is tasty and we usually try a few dishes to share. Makes me want to come back more to try every dish because of how consistent they are! They also had a recent renovation which has really lifted the atmosphere of the place up!“

“Not bad at all. In the era of fewer Korean pork cuttlet restaurants, Daeji was only one option to try Korean cuttlet with the various menus. But there are many Japanese style Korean cutlet restaurants in the lower main land currently. Daeji menus are more friendly to Korean abput 40 to 50 ages.I go to the fancy Jap-Kor style cuttlet restaurant, too, but I recommend Daeji if you try the old school with a pork cuttlet with thick gravy sauce instead of fruit based gravy sauce. Also, I like the Kimchi fried rice with a good portion.“

“This is a must-try Korean-style Chinese restaurant. The food is incredibly tasty, and the broth of the jjambbong is clean and refreshing. Highly recommend their signature grilled eel and tempura—absolute must-tries! I’ll definitely recommend this place to my friends and look forward to coming back again!“

“Had one of those meals that made you leave feeling happy and satisfied. Came on a Saturday night and the place filled up quickly and the K-pop music made the space lively (our 2.5y/o daughter kept dancing the whole night). Food wait was around 30 minutes, but when it came, everything came! The spicy beef intestine hot pot was awesome if you like organs, very well-seasoned. Everyone loved the seafood pancake, which was very crispy and had a loads of filling. Japchae portion was huge and very tasty. My favorite was the bossom and jokbal (braised pork hock) dish! Super tender, gelatinous and flavorful, highly recommend. The kettle Vanmak makgeoli helped us wash down all that food, which we had to pack half of it to go. Great meal and value, will definitely return!“

“I’ve been looking for a place like this where I can have tteokbokki with soju. Not many Korean snack places carry soju, but it’s actually a perfect combination.

“Pretty good value and pretty ok food. I like their original Katsu, reminds me of home cooked Katsu which isn’t easy to make without making a mess. I will try their other menus as well. Last of all, good service by aunty. If you come to Henderson mall food court and feeling hungry, try Tokki for k food.
Parking: Easy to park at the mall unless rush hours.“

“Chicko Chicken started my Korean fried chicken obsession. I probably order from Chicko more often than I should, but it’s delicious every time. Great portion too. I can usually get two meals out of one half-and-half take-out order. Their shake-shake fries are awesome too.“
“After my first order, Ichthus sushi became one of my favorites. I’ve ordered hope combo B, Ebi \\u0026 avo inari and, Hamachi sashimi. All of them were so fresh. The price of the food and the portion size were reasonable and generous. I highly recommend their Ebi \\u0026 avo inari! The combination of shrimps and inari was fantastic. I will definitely order again! Highly recommended!“

“A very good Korean restaurant. The potato spine soup I eat here is even better than what I had in Seoul! ! The backbone is tender and tasty! The kimchi is also delicious. It seems to be pickled in the store (I saw many jars in the refrigerator). The waiter is also very enthusiastic! ! “

“A week ago Tuesday, while living in Canada, I was craving Korean food, so I decided to visit after receiving a recommendation from an acquaintance who said this was a good restaurant. Having been disappointed at other restaurants, I was worried when I saw some of the low reviews about this place, but I still went there to try Korean food. I have a picky appetite and a sensitive personality, so I went into the restaurant with the thought of what would happen if I came in a bad mood.
However, as a result, the service was satisfactory and the food tasted good, to the point where the low reviews and concerns about the taste of the food were for naught. The seasoning was just right for my taste and it seemed to be in good hygiene condition. It was nice to be able to taste the familiar taste of food from another country. Accordingly, I ate it while being thankful for the chefs' hard work.
Next, let me tell you what I felt about the service. Basically, the servers were friendly, and the greetings when entering were appropriate and not excessive, so I didn't feel burdened. In particular, thanks to the bright energy and smile of the young female server with bright hair, I was able to have a positive influence and enjoy the meal. They are people who feel burdened if you talk to them too much, so it was nice that they kept it within the appropriate range. Looking at other reviews, I noticed that kindness is fundamental. I think the kindness of the server made the food taste better.
It was unfortunate that the music was loud and uncomfortable, perhaps because I was older, but it wasn't that uncomfortable.
Honestly, after visiting, I didn't really understand the criticism about the low reviews. I don't think it's right to cause damage to the store by leaving a review out of malicious intent or your own sensitivity. People like me who come only after reading reviews may not be able to experience such a wonderful and wonderful restaurant. Of course, no lady or gentleman writes a review with that intention, but this is the service I felt today. Even on my return visit on Thursday, the service remained the same. So, I thought I should post about this house, even though I know the reviews. We ask for unchanging service.
The above was an honest review by a retired uncle and ajumma who studied food in Korea and lived as food critics.“

“Bought take out to eat and home, and was a good meal overall. Of course, I think eating the food in restaurant would be better, but the take out was still good quality even with the travel time.
The Seolleong-tang, Gogi dumplings, Japche and Mul-Naengmyeon were great and would recommend for take out options. The LA galbi was good too, though the onions underneath tasted a little raw/undercooked.
The Haemul-pajeon pancake was dense and doughy, not very crispy. Unsure if it’s due to being takeout and maybe steam/heat in the box softened it. But the texture and density of the pancake itself would make me suggest to avoid getting it, at least as a takeout option.
The corn cheese wasn’t very good as of course, it cools down during travel time, so the cheese and corn hardened. But it was free with uber eats minimum spend so it’s net neutral in my opinion.
Overall a good meal, and would be interested in going to eat in person as I think it would probably taste even better.“
