“Top-notch service & inviting atmosphere! Swans took great care to accommodate my group at short-notice, and the staff were diligent in ensuring we had the best time. Having an inhouse gluten-free beer on tap was a much appreciated touch! Will be back for our next gathering :)“
“Chanced upon this lovely late night gem on a cold cold night. Oden tang was great - wonderful broth and thick with fish cake and vegetables. Pork and kimchee stew could have used a bit more pork, but it was also good. Kimchee udon was a bit disappointing but still OK. The volcano chicken was a hit - more spicy than sweet, but really well balanced.Extra props for our service that night, our waitress was gracious and attentive. Will definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu.“
“I went yesterday with a friend to this bar, my friend is not from the city and he fell in love. the bar is beautiful! It is very well maintained, it is warm and with a very good atmosphere. You can find groups of young friends, couples, families, older people, everyone fits here. The food was delicious and the cocktails incredible. but the best thing about this bar is sitting at the bar and being served by the bartender. He is very cordial, kind and friendly. It's like when you say he does his job very well, it seems like he's not working.“
“Artemis' speciality may be whisky/whiskey but they also make and serve fantastic cocktails! Whiskey tasting is not intimidating at Artemis. The owner, Patel, will share his love for, and incredible knowledge of, whiskey with you and probably pour you a few tasters so you can decide what you like. There is a wide price range so something for every budget. The atmosphere is chic, cool, hip, and a great place to really savour and enjoy a fine drink or great cocktail. Highly recommend!“
“I'm kind of a regular here and I'm not sure if I've posted a couple times here already.I've had a number of different things on the menu but I mostly come here for the single piece fish and chips. They make it for me with light batter and extra crispy.“
“Excellent experience. Lunch for three of us. 2 had the 2 piece cod & chips special and 1 had the clubhouse with fries. All were cooked perfectly and the servings were good size. Very busy, the parking lot was full, but we were seated and served quickly and efficiently. very nice comfortable atmosphere. Prices were comparable to other eating establishments. It is worth the trip.“
“Terrific Happy Hour.Looking forward to the patio.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Pizza 7\10Which is a pretty high score given the general state of the item in the city. 5th St. GF pizza is abv. avg. but there's still plenty of room for improvement.“
“The Four Mile Pub and Restaurant is an historic building of 1858. In that early era, the Victoria stage coaches would stop to rest the horses and travelers could have refreshments on their way to Sooke and further up Island. Today our lunch was fantastic and the four of us had Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, French Onion Soup, Buddha Bowl with a poached egg on top and Chicken Fingers and Fries. All of our meals were excellent. The ambience of the Four Mile is calm and I truly love the old fashioned decor. Perfect atmosphere for a neighbourhood pub. We even met some neighbours also having lunch there! The service was perfect as we were there to eat and catch up with old friends so we weren't in a hurry. The server told us it was only his second day working there but he was very attentive, friendly and was doing a phenomenal job for only his second day! This group of friends goes for lunch often at the Four Mile Restaurant but today seemed to be extra specially good with delicious food and outstanding service.“
“Drake’s offers a cozy ambiance perfect for unwinding after a long day. With a focus on local brews, it's a haven for beer enthusiasts. The laid-back atmosphere encourages friendly conversations, making it an ideal spot to catch up with friends or simply enjoy a quiet night out. This hidden gem promises a memorable experience worth revisiting.“
“Had a great few rounds of beers at Darcy’s the other night, energetic atmosphere with the live music from a great band playing absolute bops. (The only note was the unfortunate single poured Guinness pints) but aside from that, a great selection of taps and a fun “
“Cozy, tucked away spot! I had the Quebecer Poutine and a nonalcoholic Heinekin. The food was fine, not amazing but pretty good. The service however was excellent. The servers were attentive and kind to our group of friends who hadn’t seen each other in a while: they definitely brought out the best of the Rose.“
“Was it overpriced? Absolutely. Would we come back? Probably. The food and service was very good but charging $9 for two cokes is robbery, I don't care what year we are in.We had the Bangers and Mash, the Beef Dip and two cokes.$65 before tip. We found it more expensive than most restaurants downtown Vancouver serving the same pub fare. The beef dip was very, very good but not $22 good.“
“Probably the biggest draft beer selection in town, plus any kind of whiskey you can think of, mixologist is top notch. Not a lot on the food menu but enough to get you by for sure. Was in on a Sunday afternoon and wasn't terribly busy. Food was delicious. Cheeseburger has a charbroiled taste to it.“
“The Bent Mast had delicious pub food when we visited, which includes a variety of burgers, sandwiches, seafood dishes, and other comfort foods. The menu often features locally sourced ingredients and seasonal specials but we decided to make it our go to place for breakfast as it was near our hotel but more overly, the breakfast food was fantastic and the ecelctic service made it a place where you could happilly sit outside, watch the world go by and await your order. In addition to its food offerings, The Bent Mast has a selection of craft beers on tap, as well as a diverse wine list and cocktail menu. It's a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy good food, drinks, and conversation in a welcoming environment. The name "Bent Mast" reflects its maritime theme, as a bent mast is a nautical term referring to a mast that has been damaged or bent due to harsh weather conditions or other factors. This name pays homage to Victoria's rich maritime history and reflects the pub's unique character and ambiance.“
“Do your best to sit by the wood burning stove in the back and you’ll want to stay for hours. What was supposed to be a quick beer with a friend turned into a few beers over several hours and I loved every second of it. I had ordered the Lighthouse vanilla stout and on my first sip I knew something was off - it was super fruity - and called my server over to see if I got the right beer. It was an issue with the line and she quickly replaced it with a different beer without making me feel bad about it. Service was top notch, beer selection wonderful and atmosphere cozy af.“
“My husband and I came in today and sat on the patio. Our server Sara was super friendly and answered any questions that we had regarding the menu. We were visiting from out of town but we will definitely be coming back here because of the service. Thank you Sara! :)“
“We had the nacho starter, which was way bigger than we thought it would be in a good way! It was delicious??❤️? next we had 2 rice bowls. I didn’t like the taste of the broccoli the chicken and fries were great though! The Cab-sav was delicious. Our waitress was the best! She was friendly, knowledge and efficient! Would definitely eat here again!“
“Browns social house! Don’t let the $11 corona throw you off, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is electric. The staff are professional and friendly and the clientele is elite. Make sure to try out the frozen Bellini and don’t be afraid if Dan comes to your table and starts harassing you, he’s harmless. Overall, I’d definitely go back as soon as possible! But again, $11 for a corona?“
“We enjoyed a pleasant pub lunch at this well-located pub in a hotel. The food was good. I would recommend the fish and chips. They were to the standard from back in England. I had to ask for tartar sauce, which should come with the meal. The mushy peas were a pleasant surprise and tasty. The service was a little slow, but the food was worth it.The chicken burger and parmasen fries were flavourful, too.We got a table overlooking the water, which made the experience special.I would definitely visit again.Parking: If you aren't staying in the hotel, there is parking along the road next to the golf course (200 metres) away.“
“From the moment you step into Chimak, you're enveloped in a cozy atmosphere that promises a unique dining experience. This Korean chicken restaurant truly excels in the art of Asian cuisine. The star of the menu is, without a doubt, their signature Korean fried chicken. Perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, each bite is a delightful explosion of flavors. The secret lies in their special seasoning and the perfectly balanced spicy sauce that leaves you craving for more.Parking: ON the street“
“The monkey tree is a local staple. The food is great and the staff are friendly. I’d highly recommend trying the steak frites and going to visit for the Saturday music bingo! The prices are reasonable and the pull tabs always cash out so make sure to stop by at any chance that you get. Additionally, if you ask nicely they will give you 5 sol beers for $25 and you get to finish them all in 10 minutes.“
“For pub food, it does quite well, with a lot of relatively affordable options, and a wide variety of items to choose from. It was busy when we went, but the service was still pretty good considering. A bit loud, but that's kind of to be expected from a popular pub.“
“Nice little upstairs pub. They have a small patio that over looks the parking lot but we quite like it . The pub has a great atmosphere and always seems quite busy. Service is good, the beers are cold and they usually have a local brewer on special. Food has been okay to excellent.Parking: For Victoria it has a large parking lot. It usually is quite full but great on off peak times. Some on street parking too, but park away and walk it's in a lovely location.“
“In my school years I love the yam fries with chipotle from Felicitas and UClub. Menu selection for the latter venue seems static across the years hence when informed that there’s something new, I dashed to the phone to make a reservation. The experience this Wednesday at lunch in the main dinning room didn’t disappoint. In fact a delighted time. Special menu item chicken breast covered in tarragon sauce with mashed potato, mushrooms, and veggies on the side is one Ill recommend to others if I ever see it available again.I think members are smart to utilize this versatile facility. This place could be for business meetings or discussions, social events, or as own reading lounge. The only tricky aspect about dinning here is staffing.“
“If I could give it a 3.5 I would. The atmosphere here is friendly and you get a good mix of clientele. It's nice they have some entertainment on the weekends to keep you there a bit longer. But the so called "happy hour" is a joke and they're not fooling anyone. It's only offered fro 3-5, at 3 there's hardly anyone in there, so as the after work crowd starts to come in after 4 that leaves little time. 2nd the happy hour beer only saves you about .40cents as it's not the pint size, 3rd the happy hour menu appears to be made up of anything thats leftover outta the freezer, things that are not already on the menu. I just think for a local watering hole they could do better by their regulars by offering a better happy hour that maybe runs from 3-6.Okay so today 4/2/24 stopped into the loghouse for dinner & a beer. Atmosphere was friendly as usual and between us we tried the fish & chip special on Tuesdays (cod) & one of the chicken burgers and both were absolutely delicious!! Generous portions, flavour was fantastic & you could tell the fellas in the kitchen cared about the product they were putting out. So definitely an increase from a 3.5 to a 4.5 star ⭐️. Forgot to take pics again :( next time for sure!!“

“What a great pub! The atmosphere was exactly what we needed. Burger was perfect, beef dip was so good, poutine was one of my favourites I’ve had, Mac n cheese was worth every penny. Thanks for making the mock paloma for me! Can’t wait to come back to try more from the menu!“
“Our celebration at The Loft Pub was truly a night to remember. Nestled in its cozy ambiance, we, along with close friends and family, reveled in a memorable evening marking my husband's milestone birthday. From the warm decor to the friendly staff, everything was just perfect. The menu, a delightful assortment of expertly prepared dishes, catered to our every craving. And to make the evening even more special, we had the privilege of indulging in a feast from the owner's catering business, "Connoisseur Catering," which included mouthwatering steak, creamy alfredo tortellini, and crisp snow peas.Adding a dash of variety, my husband insisted on including a Caesar salad and the irresistible yam fries from the pub fare. The staff's impeccable service ensured that every detail was taken care of.What elevated the night to a whole new level was the live music by Hearts & Roses, who played classic rock that had us dancing all night long. It was the perfect soundtrack to an unforgettable celebration. As we raised our glasses to toast my husband, we couldn't have asked for a better place than The Loft Pub. It's a venue where cherished memories are made, and we eagerly look forward to returning for more extraordinary moments in the future.Vegetarian options: Over 11 vegetable choices.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-Free“
“Great place! We went for a late night meal and they have a late night happy hour . I got the fish tacos and they were great! My hubby and daughter got the sliders and loaded fries. Fries were not the best. They were very soft and limp. We like crispy fries. Don't order them if you like crispy fries. Staff was very nice and since we were in a time crunch the waitress helped and got us the check quickly. I would come here again.“
“To me the Penny Farthing is more than a place to eat and drink, it's an experience. It's extremely popular which adds to the ambiance. We stop there at least once every time we're in Victoria. I like the turkey pot pie and my wife likes the Buddha bowl. Today she had chicken tikka Marsala and liked it a lot. The clam chowder was outstanding. My meatloaf was, to me, a little unusual. It was firm and dry. I asked for more gravy and that helped a little. Our server, Janice, was a delight.“
“They have an outdoor courtyard style seating area, which was lovely. The weather that day was perfect for being outdoors. Our waitress was very attentive to all our needs and was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks they provide. Our food was hot and fresh and quite tasty. The Katsu chicken sandwich on sourdough was delicious and I also really enjoyed the garden salad. My friend had the Smith burger which was on feature. He said it was excellent, and the french fries were cooked to perfection imo prepared golden with just the right about of salt.We had a few fancy cocktails with one large circular ice sphere, again our waitress was very knowledgeable of what was in the drinks, and they were excellent. I would certainly recommend this place to others.Parking: There is plenty of street parking and conveniently there’s an underground Parkade right next door.“
“This place never fails to satisfy. They have a huge selection of great craft beers on tap. The food is great quality, well made, and the portions are more than enough. Prices are reasonable and the service is fast and friendly.Good job, staff and managers of Christie's!“
“I’ve been pretty lucky with both food and staff each time I’ve gone. Food seems to depend on item, some seam a bit over priced for the amount of food you get, but it all tastes wonderful. The staff is friendly, but it can be slow when busy, not their fault. The atmosphere is lovely, but can be a bit loud at times. It is a pub and popular spot.“
“Great little pub, Some coworkers and I popped in for a refreshment after work. The decore is outstanding, there are lots of antiques. I was intrigued by an old telephone booth and some old school phones. There is a semi private room and some outdoor seating available, plenty of tables inside. The service was great and the menu looks good but we didn't stay for a bite. I'd definitely go back next time I'm in the area. I gave the food a and service a 4 even though we didn't order food because the service was excellent and we didn't wait around thirsty.Wheelchair accessibility: Pretty easily navigated.“
“The place is decent, the food was good and the super Cesar was really unique! Although the service was quite long and I got there at also 6:30pm and stayed there till over an hour later because of how long the service lasted, I don’t know if they’re short staffed or they were way behind on making food for other people cause I did notice a lot of food were left out to serve and that took awhile for one person to serve one another. But nevertheless and despite that it did took awhile for my food being served, it did came out hot and not cold and it was good either way.“
“We stayed at the hotel next door, so we spent some time here. The service at the front desk was terrible. We had never been here before, and knew there were multiple bars, but didn't know where they were in relation to the door we were at. We tried to ask the guy up front, but he acted extremely annoyed, and gave us the least bit of info he possibly could have. We ended up in the sports bar, and service didn't get much better. The food and drinks were decent. Was a fun place to hang out though, and very convenient to our hotel. Would probably only be back for late night drinks and snacks“
“Probably the cheapest food that's actually good you can get anywhere in Vic. Huge shout out to Nick who I've had a few times. Guy isn't afraid to ask for clarification if he gets something wrong and is apologetic if he's busy. Please give him raise. Also had the guts to wear a white t shirt as a server.Music in Fel's is a little too loud. I always sit as far away from the speakers as I can and still find myself getting a bit overstimulated after a couple hours. Also feel like at times servers are stretched too thin with how many people/tables they have to manage which can make service take a while. Please Fel's just give me the pitcher of water from the get go I promise I can drink it all myself. Also the flourless brownie is a steal and you're doing a disservice to yourself if you don't get it.“
