“Yesterday we stopped by for a later lunch. Everything was excellent. Our server was exceptional and very well trained. Our food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed our meal. We ordered the fish and chip special. They were large portions and cooked to perfection. Excellent value for the price.
We have noted that since the new manager/owner? took over this location has really been fantastic. He is excellent and has a great staff.“

“Everything about the afternoon tea service was lovely. The dining room is filled with beautiful flower arrangements. The view from our table into the adjacent garden was lovely. Our server was exceptional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The tea, savories, and sweet were delicious. As a vegetarian, it was delightful to see a menu curated to meet my dietary preferences.“

“We had an amazing experience at the Alpina Restaurant. The restaurant is well appointed and the view is stunning (even with some rain and clouds). The food was absolutely outstanding (especially the beet salad) and we enjoyed literally every bite. Both our servers were very good. It was fine-dining level expensive and worth every penny. Was perfect for our anniversary celebration. Definitely recommend!“

“We attended Milestones on Millstream for the first time the other day, celebrating two birthdays. From the time of our arrival, to our departure, every single staff member we encountered were smiling and helpful, and looked like they really wanted to be there. Our server, Fawn, was amazing (and her smile just lit up the room) - she checked on our table frequently, and was right on top of every course of the meal (we went at 5:30pm on a Thursday). There were three people in our party, and we all ordered differently (actually studied the menu in advance so we knew what we wanted) - we tried the Happy Hour 3 for $39 share plates (two different chicken wing flavors and the meatballs). We'd never had such nice wings and meatballs (fabulous mystery seasonings), then moved on to our mains - Blackened Cod, 7 oz sirloin, and Double Burger platter - all cooked to perfection, with wonderful flavor, and served HOT with smiles by the staff. Did I mention the drinks - of note the Desert Pear Margerita was really unique with a dried lime on top - would order that again. For dessert we had Key Lime Pie, White Chocolate Cheesecake, and Chocolate Cake, all of which we barely had room for, but we managed to indulge in. We were able to have a really nice visit with our out of town relative, were not rushed, and everything from the drinks to the food were a 10/10! This Milestones has some terrific cuilinary staff/chef and we will be coming back as it's close to home, and quite reasonably priced with generous portions. Thank you Milestones - well done!“

“Delicious food prepared in Cheffy’s own kitchen, good selection of British food, very convenient when cooking isn’t an option, great variety, inexpensive (the fewer visits to the supermarket, the more the savings), the menu changes each week and friendly, helpful staff. Hint: Their delicious scones, with a different variety every week, are very popular and sell out quickly, so it’s a good idea to order them early in the week. 🥮“

“Cool place to have a drink on a patio in LangfordStandard menu. Nothing special.The server mixing drinks has no idea how to make sangria. I got red wine with ice. Took about 4 times until I gave up a got a rum and coke. Each time took 20 minutes.“

“The coffee shop at the Butchart Gardens is a decent spot to grab a bite and have a drink of coffee.

It wasn’t something spectacular, but it got the job done. Me and my girlfriend needed a little bit of energy after the ferry ride to the island, and this did the trick.

My main complaint though? It is pretty expensive, considering the already high price of entry to the garden itself.“

“After a busy morning at the Gardens, my husband and I and our friend stopped here for lunch.

This place is kind of like a cafeteria. Some things you carry back to your table on a tray but other things, like the entrees, are brought to your table.

My husband and I each had the Seafood Chowder with fresh bread and a salad. We had been eating so much this trip we decided to go healthy. But we threw our good intensions into the wind by sharing the Wildberry Trifle.

Our friend had the pasta.

Everything was well prepared, well presented and excellent.

This is a sheltered restaurant that protects you from the sun, but it's open too, so there's a gentle breeze. Lots of plants everywhere of course. Great surroundings for your meal.

“BBE. Best Birthday Ever. Friends took me to 1550's for beer and wings for my birthday. I love chicken wings and the selection here is awesome and delicious. Keith the owner wished me Happy Birthday and promised NOT to have the crew sing to me!Highly recommended by someone who's been enjoying chicken for five and a half decades and beer for slightly less. Mmmm, Dark Matter Beer!
