“We recently celebrated my husbands 40th birthday with an amazing dinner at Nightingale! There were 12 of us and had a family style dinner, which every plate that came out was amazing. I wish I lived in Vancouver because I would frequent Nightingale weekly. Service was prompt and they were consistently keeping the drinks flowing.“

Nothing on a plate that didn't serve a purpose in making the dish the best it could be. I will stare longingly out a window reminiscing on Chicken of the Sea and Cool Hand Cuke. Ignore the neighbourhood grit, you will be transported as soon as you cross the threshold. Do yourself a favour, book it and go. “A decent restaurant that worth Michelin recommended. All the dishes are to the satisfactory level. The little surprise is the appetizer steak tartare which the fried shiso matches well with the beef and chutoro. The baked oysters are done to perfection. Lamb saddle portion as main is quite small. The desserts are just so so.“

“Just when you think they can't raise their game any higher Hy's manages to find a way. We attended the Calgary locations 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sept 26th and it was spectacular. The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. It was certainly the best evening we have at Hy's over the last decade, and I don't think I'm overstating it to say it was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience. “We came for a good bye dinner with our team. Our company closed and Glowbal was selected by numerous recommendations from our other colleagues. It was an amazing atmosphere and definitely super-tasty food. When the time for dessert came, our beautiful waitresses came with our ordered sweet cake with “Happy Unemployment “ writing on the plate. It was a bittersweet moment for all of us but our mood instantly switched to laughter and we almost forgot the cause of our gathering“

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

The dining area is very comfortable with plush booth seating by the windows. There were festive holiday white lights and lamps with the flames creating a warm atmosphere.

“Went for Easter Monday lunch. Food was awesome, I had the roasted turkey sandwich and my friend had the Cajun chicken sandwich (she was able to get it dairy free). Both were really tasty and great portions for the price. Workers were also very kind. Good seating options and bathrooms. Def would come back :)“

“I recently visited Cactus Club and tried several dishes, including the Szechuan Lettuce Wraps, Sushi, Baja Fish Tacos, and Chipotle Chicken Tacos. Everything was tasty, but I absolutely loved the Baja Fish Tacos — they were fresh, flavorful, and definitely my favourite. I would go back just for those!“

“It was nice spot to have breakfast after a long walk. Order the spinach and eggs benny and tomatoes and chives omelette.
Didn’t try the coffee (which I regret) but my friend had English tea and it was great!
I liked the food but didn’t love it, need more spices from myside to hit that sweet spot.

Loved the view and it has great atmosphere, very relaxing place and would visit it again.

Also, use the front door entrance of the club, it also leads to the restaurant, don’t need to go around for the stairs entrance.“

“Last night we celebrated my bestie’s birthday in a new winter wonderland patio at Earls Yaletown, and honestly.. it felt like a dream🥹❄️✨✨ The vibes were so cozyyy, but what made the night truly unforgettable are our cutest server Kelly and the coolest manager Dan. 🥰🥰 Kelly made us feel so welcomed and special as you can see from smile on my face hehe, and her energy set the tone for such a happy celebration. PS she is also a cool photographer ;)
And then there was THE manager, Dan, definition of caring and warm hospitality. He checked on us so kindly and you could tell he genuinely cared. It wasn’t just service, it was hosted with pure heart ♥️

“Made feel very welcome by the friendly staff, stylish decor and subdued lighting with seating that was spacious to provide that intimate atmosphere. Menu was extensive and the food was great, particularly loved the treacle sponge 😋 Bar area had TVs and music was playing for those that wanted a more social vibe.“

“Overall I would stay here again as it’s super convenient for the port when cruising. Great sized room (deluxe on 15th floor) had a great view, clean and comfortable beds. However. When we stayed last week, there was one lift working. It was often carnage with long queues and it could take 20 mins to get to the room or down to reception. We also had issues with our keycards keep clearing (as did some others we met during our many waits for a lift) so after those 20 mins, we would get upstairs to find we couldn’t get in to our room and would then have to do it all again, going down to reception. There was also often long lines here aswell so it got pretty frustrating. Staff in the restaurant at breakfast were lovely (especially Jessica) and so were those guys at the bellhop station, super nice and really helpful. Most disappointing to find this comment that was added to a sponsored post before being added here, was removed though.“

“We came in earlier than expected for our reservation since my husband and I were shopping around Robson. One of the receptionists at the front, the guy, welcomed us in with a smile and said he'll try to get us a table if one was available and we were seated not long after. They got us a really nice spot with a nice view and away from other diners which we appreciated as it was date night. The server gave us really good cocktail recommendations and was spot on with communicating how long our orders would arrive. She'd also regularly check up on us for anything we might need which was appreciated. My husband isn't a fan of fancy dinners usually but the service and food we experienced at Earl's totally changed his mind and he's actually looking forward to dining here again. We forgot our server's name but she was a european girl with a bob, very friendly. Thank you for being so nice to us and doing such a great job.“
