“The chicken was ok. Pretty tender but not very flavourful besides the outside. Loved their fries. Girlfriend got the chicken burger and said it was good but a mess. White liquidy sauce was everywhere and soaked the buns which was off putting. Overall decent experience, but considering the price and the quality, there are better fried chicken places around Davie st.“

“Delicious and simple stone bowl bibimbap and Korean fried chicken, and with tremendously friendly service. An absolute pleasure to visit, I In an excellent food court that I would never have found if not for Google Maps. Really cute and felt like a hidden secret, and made me feel like a tourist in my own city. An excellent lunch stop.“

“My partner was flying home from an already bad business trip and had been disappointed by not being able to get ribs at the airport she flew out of. I figured I'd pick some up for her on the way to get her from the airport so I was really just looking for any place that sold ribs close to the airport.
Boy did I get that and more. Rib & Chicken's LA Beef Short Ribs were delicious (I was gifted a couple from a grateful partner), the sauce they came with only made them better.
Additionally the staff was incredibly accommodating. I called a few hours in advance to ask if they'd be willing to prepare the ribs close to their closing time (10pm) since my partners flight was scheduled to arrive at 9:50 and I didn't want the ribs to be cold. They were happy to oblige and made it all really easy. The ribs were warm and delicious when she got them. Going to have to come back and sit in some time soon!“

“Sooo delicious and wonderfully made. You will be surprised by the portions and variety on the menue. Never seen a place with such a good value for the price you pay. My wife and I eat two whole meals with icecream and drinks for around $25. It is amazing.“

“Wow! We had a great meal here at Joon's Kitchen. We ordered a tonne of food for the table. The standouts for me are definately the Korean Tacos and the Sweet spicy/sweet soy fried chicken. These were just delicious. We also ordered Bibimbap (beef, chicken and veggie). These too were just amazing! California Roll and Unagi were also on point. Korean ribs would have better BBQ'd and were too fatty. But, that's always a risk when you order them. Overall, a great little Korean gem of a restaurant! Thanks for the wonderful food and friendly service.“

“I had a wonderful experience here! Judy was incredibly kind and attentive — she made us feel so welcomed from the moment we walked in. Her warm service really made a difference. The food was absolutely delicious as well; everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!“

“One of the best Korean spots in town! Their seafood pancake is hands down my favorite — super crispy on the outside, loaded with seafood, and just so tasty.
The Makgeolli Jogae Jjim is a must-try too. If you’re into clams, you’ll love this one!
Also, don’t skip the Spicy Seafood Stew — rich soup base, big portions, and perfect for sharing. Overall, a great place to chill and eat good food with friends or family.“

“Second visit here. Was craving some homey food, with the intent to get the seafood tofu soup.
Saw the beef tofu soup being labelled as recommended, but stuck to my intentions and was really happy I had my seafood tofu soup :).
Both visits service was friendly. Quiet area but they open late. Off school season so maybe that’s why it was less busy but I’ll definitely
Be back again and maybe try the chicken.“

“We came on a Saturday at 5:15 as we had reservations. We ordered the BBQ eel sot bap ($21.95) and the abalone sot bap ($22.95). They each come with a seaweed soup and a soft poached egg. The side dishes are also available for refill.
The side dishes were okay. Nothing to write home about.
The sot baps were both really delicious. We preferred the abalone one over the BBQ eel one. The abalone was nice and soft not chewy at all. It went well with the egg and the fragrance of the rice. The unagi wasn't too sweet. I liked the crispiness on the bottom of the rice.
Overall a satisfying meal. I would come back to try the kalbi“

“Waited 15 minutes for our chicken and it was made fresh. It comes with radish
Honey garlic boneless ($13.95) - honey flavour was really strong I wished the garlic flavour was a bit stronger
Sweet spicy with bone ($15.50) - not spicy at all! Needed to be much spicier. I enjoyed the sweet spicy more than the boneless.
All their fried chicken comes with tteok (rice cake) which was delicious.
Their batter is different from the other chains in Vancouver. It's lighter and a different kind of crispy. The other ones are a bit more crunchy
Overall I would get it again“

“Assorted kimchi/vegetarian mandu :) very cute to eat. There is usually plenty of space to sit inside the Student Nest, which is also regularly cleaned. However, the container did not really help to keep the food warm. The one-use materials involved, like soy packets and aluminum foil, were also disappointing. Thankfully, the “box” was biodegradable!“

“Alright. My sister in law lives around the corner and we went to get some of the chicken!
We got the Half and Half of Soy Garlic and Buldak (spicy)... whoooaaa. those were so good!
All the kids grabbed the food before I could take a picture lol.
Price was good.
Service was pretty fast.
Staff was friendly and even tried to help with some of the ingredients (since my kids have some food allergies).“

“We stumbled to this restaurant; after making a visit to a store nearby; because it was close to 8 pm and we were starving!
We were greeted promptly and advised that there is a short wait. After 5 minutes we were seated quickly.
We were seated at the far corner so had to wave down staff at each request but we didnt think it was an issue.
We had a bimbimbop, spicy pork, beef bone soup and takowasabi. We ate everything and hope to be back soon.
Our only issue was the noise level was at times unbearable likely because we sat next to a small table of people whose voice would be considered yelling to most.“

“I am no stranger to Korean fried chicken. This ranks in my top 10. They do there’s skin on boneless style, which most don’t. This makes for phenomenal texture and taste. It’s a tad salty but who cares. Recommend sauce on the side for full crisp experience.“

“Korean Nom Nom is a cozy spot on Robson Street serving fresh, tasty Korean comfort food. Their kimbap and tteokbokki are must-tries — flavorful, generous, and satisfying. Service is quick and friendly, and prices are fair for downtown. A great casual stop for an authentic Korean bite.“

“This is by far my favorite food truck but I go out of my way to come to its location during work hours and it's rarely ever there! Unfortunately my lunch break is not earlier in your hours so I generally get there around 1:15 or 1:20 and by that point you either were never there at all or you've left early. It's very frustrating to come all of that way so many times and not get to eat there.“

“As an absolute food crazed individual I have to say Chef Han's restaurant Kosoo + Raw Bar is one of my favourite restaurants, here and abroad, so far. The chef was away for a while, on his return we visited and it was brilliant as usual. I have never been disappointed only always impressed beyond my expectations. Welcome back Chef Han!“

“Came here a couple of times. Went there recently for their Korean fried chicken. A little disappointed, chicken was very dry and not very juicy like how Korean fried chickens were suppose to be. Almost tasted like left over fried chicken that’s been fried again.“

“Solid spot for fried chicken. I didn't really like the batter they used to fry the chicken though. Our group tried the creamy onion, cheese and chili flavored ones. I would probably come again if I am nearby.
-Creamy onion was the best one as it had a very yummy sauce that paired well with the chicken.
-The cheese one was alright I didn't really taste the cheese on it that much so it low-key just taste like og flavor fried chicken.
-I didn't really like the sauce for the chili flavor , there was just something off about the flavor.“

“Been going here for quite a while, probably since it opened. Probably one of the best places in Vancouver to get quick and easy Korean fried chicken. Huge fan of the daily special with rice and some of the signature sauce, but you also can't go wrong with any of the combos either. Staff here are all incredibly kind and service is always quick. Highly recommend popping by if you're on Robson.“

“I ordered the curry chicken, and it was really good. It had a nice sweet ish flavour and was very well seasoned. Plus, the staff there were lovely. I also liked the restaurant, we were seated on the patio, and the decorations, news, and food brought me right back to Korea. Definitely coming back here next time I’m in the area!“

“Delicious food?? Jotted down as my “Happy to revisit” place~
They’re busy when I came to buy half order of original chicken for my lunch but I’m glad that I was informed about the waiting time and suggested to order by phone next time to save time as their waiting may range from 10 to 25 mins.“

“We dropped in after being on the hunt for something different and saw other reviews looking good. We also saw how busy it was, which to us was a good sign. We put our names down and I think we only waited about 20 minutes for a table. We ordered the Beef & Pork Combo B, medium size (for 2 people). It came with Beef Bulgogi, Beef Short Rib, Comb-cut Pork Belly & Pork Galbi. There were 2 slices of mushroom & 2 slices of zucchini on the board with the raw meats, which was a little odd there wasn't more, but the meat portion was nice otherwise. Plus it came with sides that we learned get refilled as desired - rice, pickled beans sprouts, kimchi, seaweed, sauces, etc...
One of the servers came by fairly early on to change our BBQ grill, which was nice, but we weren't feeling like the ventilation was fully working on ours because it got quite smoky & we had to turn it off until we could get another change of grill because it was hurting our eyes. We had clicked the call server button a few times but no answer, so we had to wait until someone else came near to clear a table to get assistance so that was a bit slow, but it was friendly service, which is always a plus.
Overall I feel it was good for the price, other than it might have been nice to have some extra veggies to grill with the meat.“

“this is a GREAT sushi spot! i’ve been in vancouver for 3 years, and this will now be my new go to sushi place. was greeted by the sweetest people and had an amazing meal. All flavours were so yummy, even the tuna roll and miso soup went above and beyond! my yakisoba was full of veggies and chicken, and the chicken pieces were full of flavour + had no chewy bits!!!
to top it all off, it was affordable and fast. 10/10“

“Came across this place recently and thought I'd try, and I'd have to say its pretty good. We went during lunch hour so it was quiet. They had tables so we were able to eat in.
The Chicken was cooked perfectly, crisp on the outside and juicy in the inside. Their fries were fab. Its one of those seasoned thick crispy style fries which I like. I also like that the food was not too salty like in other places. We got a half order of boneless chicken and half order of bone-in chicken, and fries, and it was too much for 2 people. We ended up bringing leftovers home so I'd say its a good value for the price and for what you get.
It takes about 10 mins or so to cook the chicken but you can call in to preorder if you prefer not to wait. The guy behind the counter was nice and polite and the place was kept clean. Good place to go when you crave fried chicken.“

“Friendly and cute service on the Saturday eve in August.
Food was tasty. Of course you don't come here if you're 100% after health due to the nitrites/nitrates in the sausages but if you're somewhat hungry and don't want to take out a line of credit for a Vancouver sandwich or appy then this is the spot.
If you expect to dine-in, don't. Little to no seating in general. This is purely a take-out spot. Nothing wrong with that.
Would revisit soon.“

“I don't get fried chicken often, but when I do, it's usually Korean fried chicken. Since I haven't tried many other places, I always end up getting Chicko Chicken. I've been getting their cheese snow and yangyeom flavours and it seems like they have expanded their flavor options since I last visited. My only objection is that their prices aren't great. They also used to provide pickled radish with their orders but don't anymore. When I visited this location, it was completely empty with one other customer coming in for a pickup order. The store had standard furnishing but seemed a bit dim/dull. We were able to get our chicken in 15 minutes and it's nice knowing that it's fried to order. I will definitely be going back to try their other flavours.“

“I loved this place! The cheese tteokbokki was so good and they were perfectly chewy. The sauce wasn't too spicy so it was easy to enjoy. The dish is packed with rice cakes and fish cakes and loaded with cheese on top! I would have liked it if the cheese was more melted but it was still delicious. The soy garlic chicken was also juicy and crispy.“

“Visited Vancouver and went to Jang Mo Jip! It's a must go to place to visit for us whenever we go. Their Korean fried chicken wings are fantastic! Also try their galbi (bbq short ribs) and mixed rice dish in a stone pot aka bibimbap! Tried a medley of other things as we went twice. Check them out!“
