“I recently visited this sushi restaurant and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. I ordered a chicken teriyaki roll, but I got a chicken teriyaki plate. And despite clearly saying 'roll,' the worker rudely insisted that I needed to specify 'roll' next time. This made me feel unnecessarily pressured.

When I kindly asked for the roll to be remade, another worker quickly mentioned that the kitchen was closing soon. Shortly after, she returned with a plate trying to take the teriyaki off my plate saying the kitchen would make it for me, but at that point, the restaurant was about to close and I didn’t want to feel rushed.

Overall, I truly love this place I hope next time they don’t make me feel bad for not saying things “right”.“

“Ok, this is a neighborhood strip mall teriyaki joint, and its not much to look at. But I've been coming here for years, and it never changes: really good food for a reasonable price. I usually either get the teriyaki beef plate, or a chicken katsu...highly recommended!“

“Excellent quality healthy and authentic Japanese food at affordable prices. Service is fast (usually 10-15 minutes wait, but sometimes only 5!) And the place is very clean.

Very good spot for a date, or lunch/dinner with your parents. Also a great everyday lunch spot. I try to eat here once a week at least - when I need a healthy meal Asian style.

My favorite is the miso soup and side salad, add a rice and it's under $10. There are many food options in the $10-15 range for a full meal. My favorite soup is the vegetable udon noodle soup. I also like that they have soda pop available with no artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup, so I can enjoy a soda sometimes without feeling too guilty about it.

The sushi is also great, and the teriyaki dishes yummy.

“Kiki Sushi was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in ages. My friend has Celiac’s Disease, so I called ahead to verify their food prep practices & allergens. They were super helpful over the phone, even though I forgot and called during dinner rush. Everything seemed great, and when we arrived they had already had notes for our table & vetted every single thing on the table to ensure my friend was safely able to eat. Not only was the food safe and prepared fully gluten-free, but it may have been the best sushi I’ve ever had. And I LOVE sushi!! We also had veggie tempura and it was wasn’t overly battered or greasy, which seems common every other place I’ve been. The waiter was amazing, our drinks stayed full throughout the meal with the help of another gal on the floor, and we thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of Kiki Sushi. We could see the chefs carefully crafting the boat while we enjoyed some of their appetizers. Food and service was amazing!! I had to ask for napkins and utensils well after my food after my food arrives. He was busy doing everything so, I get it. I had hot sake, gyoza, yakitori and tempura. It was good. “My favorite Sushi spot in Walnut Creek!!! It’s amazing here. I get the premium omakase and hand rolls every time. (Usually spicy tuna or salmon). The fish is super fresh and my favorite nigiri is the otoro of course.

They have some rolls there that are pretty good as well. The pacific roll is one of the ones we always get. But you can’t go wrong with all the others. Just pick the one with fish you like and it will taste so good.

“Very expensive but good food. For context, I brought my son for his 25th birthday. We had 9 people, all 17+ years old and _no_ alcohol was ordered. The bill for 9 people with automatic tip came out to be $390 or $44/person.

With that out of the way, we had a good experience. The waitress was very gentle and patient. The place has nice decoration and Japanese architecture.. at least it reminds me of one which is a nice plus on the ambience. We sat at the upper platform so that part is not wheelchair accessible.

They have both menu book and also QR code so you can see what the food looks like. The raw stuff were fresh. Photos shows the things we ordered and everyone loved it. Since it's very expensive, we only come here on very special occasion and this is my 3rd visit in 2 years.
