“Went to dinner with a few of my lady friends after seeing a show in the city, this was the perfect ending to a phenomenal day. I had the crab cakes and they were delish, a couple of people in my group had the fried chicken/fried catfish combo and that looks delicious as well. I highly recommend Lizzy’s Cajun Cafe.“

The owner was very helpful in showing me how to use the computerized ordering system I jokingly told him that now that I knew the system i would have to come back before I forgot. The jumbo refers to both the size of the shrimp and the sandwich! Friday, November 7, I found myself again n the Castro for a morning appointment. I was pleased to see that they opened at 11 am. I ordered another CHIPTOLE JUMBO SHRIMP BLT and discovered the second time it was as good as the first time!!“

“The char siu pork is incredibly tender. The cold noodles with peanut sauce and chili oil had plenty of sauce and were perfectly cooked. The bbq brisket noodles with soup was delicious, the broth was amazing and the meat and noodles were also cooked perfectly. The staff was working tirelessly and were very accommodating. They sell until tgey run.out of food, but they do warn the line when it gets close. You might be able to eat next door with outside tables and get yourself a beer. The dino ribs are amazing, and massive. Sides are quite tasty.“

“It’s my first time here today, my mom and I are both very satisfied with our impromptu dinner. We ordered the Galbi Jjim in medium spicy. The portion is very generous, the standard serving already included cheese, rice cake, glass noodles, and plenty of radish-carrots-potatoes! The meat was tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked and served on a cold winter night. We had leftover for another meal. ✌🏼“

“This place has the best Chinese barbecue especially Empress chicken, which is my favorite. They used to be in San Leandro and I’m so glad they moved to Oakland. I used to drive from Oakland to San Leandro just to buy their barbecue now longer need to make that trek. So happy they are in Chinatown now“

The menu is extensive and has a little bit for everyone’s craving for the day. You know it’s a good sign when you walk in and you hear the uncs and aunties yappin. It just means this place is authentic !

The Satay Beef Noodle soup was great. It has a spice in it I can’t pinpoint, but it made it unique to any other beef noodle soup I’ve had. I was expecting a taste closer to bun bo hue, but no it’s something different. Still very tasty! The cucumbers innit was a surprise and it worked very well.

The chicken wings came out piping hot and crunchy. The chicken itself didn’t have much flavor tho.

The chow fun is something I’d order again. The beef was cooked with a Smokiness flavor to it.

This spot accepts card for payment, so I am happy that I didn’t have to pull money at an ATM. The staff is very friendly and can give recommendations“

The prices are extremely affordable. And there were many specials to choose from.
Now on to the food. I had basa & chicken both were seasoned good, & fried to perfection.
I also had the Yams & Mac & Cheese. The yams are 🔥
The Mac & cheese was NOT Mac'n 😂. A totally miss. It was thick & the noodles were overcooked. So if you're looking for a creamy & cheesy Mac & cheese go somewhere else.

“We eat here about once a month. There’s a large all you care to eat selection, service is fast and they have decent list of beers to go with all the meat. The only problem we’ve had is that their scissors aren’t sharpened- that’s ok, next time we’ll bring our own.“
