Sante Adairius’s Oakland Arbor is a confident, quietly ambitious outpost that brings the Capitola-based brewer’s precision and ethos to the East Bay without losing the neighborhood feel. Housed in the former Trappist space, the Arbor respects its roots—original brick, polished wood, calm lighting—while projecting its own identity: more focused, less cluttered, and centered on the beer. The taplist is broad but purposeful. Signature saisons like Bernice remain touchstones, but the Oakland team expands the range with rustic lagers (Surge Capacity), unfined West Coast IPAs (New Brighten), and delicate low-ABV offerings (A Small Rest). Barrel-aged specials—like the layered, contemplative Bedside Manner—debut here and routinely impress. No filler. Even when they chase style trends, execution stays tight. Prices reflect the ambition ($9–$12 pours…) but the quality holds. Staff are attentive without performance. A small kitchen offers savory snacks, but beer is the point.“

“Such a terrific little bar! Top notch, small batch beers from talented local brewers. Something for everyone: IPAs, pales, pilsners, saisons, sours, and (often) my favorite Belgian beer styles. “Line 51 was an amazing venue for our after wedding Sunday brunch and the space was one of our favorite parts of the weekend! Sarah was the absolute best and was so fantastic and accommodating with our event planning and set up. The space was so wonderful and exactly what we were looking for. Huge shout out to Carlisle for dealing with about 90 guests and several children running around and managing everything with patience all by themselves. We received so many compliments from our friends and family about how fantastic the venue was, the beer, and the atmosphere. We are definitely recommending Line 51 to all of our friends for their next event or for a nice cold one!“

“Best craft brewery in SF. If you've never tried the Coffee & Cigarettes Smoked Porter, it's a must. My other fav is the Dank of the West IPA that makes an occasional appearance throughout the year. The Detroit style square pizza is awesome too.“
“Faction Brewing is a wonderful, local brewery! On a perfect day, enjoy a beer or cider on their patio overlooking the San Francisco Bay and city skyline. Catch it on a gloomier day and you can still enjoy a crafted beverage in their large indoor spaces. We host our annual donation drive here in the spring and the staff is always so fantastic. “Nice beer choices even though our selection, things we hadn't tried before, didn't wow us for hazy IPA's. The venue however is awesome and difficult to rate.
There's the very nice beer garden, a variety of food venues, eclectic beer selection and other drinks such as the slushee and rose...
Service quality varied depending on the stand, but was friendly at the brewery. We liked the eclectic ambiance of the place, very fun.
The place is hopping so parking can be tough despite street and dirt lots around.“

“In town for work and was looking for some good beer. What a great find on a day with gorgeous weather! On the roof at Salesforce park, was able to enjoy a flight (5 options) and personal pizza (delicious!) for $45, a steal in San Fran. No heaters so can only be enjoyed in good weather but highly recommend.“

“The Pilsner is one of the best beers around, it's really good, I miss the bottles, on cans I feel the taste a little different, the others Northern Larger and IPA is ok but not like the pils, the brisket sandwich was ok, bread was not fresh and dry, brisket was good! The staff special in the bar wasn't that friendly, in general is ok, my 5 stars go to the Trumer Pils, really delicious!“

The sake quality never disappoints. We always leave with a smile, and every friend I’ve brought here has loved it too. Don’t miss their occasional events, they’re set in such a great atmosphere and make for a truly unique experience! One recommendation would be to open the parking lot for customers on tasting days.“
“Had a couple of beers here and some food. Ordered at the bar and went outside for food. Food arrived quickly but the fish was not very hot considering it was freshly deep fried. Chips mediocre. Service once food ordered non existent for me. No server checked on food during eating. Wasn’t very busy during visit. Nice outdoor area.“

“I’ve been coming to Southern Pacific Brewing for years, and honestly it is what it is. It’s a huge space, so it’s great if you’ve got a big group or party. I’m not really a beer person myself, but down to hangout here when people pick it and most people seem to enjoy it. It can definitely get loud, so keep that in mind. They do serve food, which is fine - not amazing, not terrible, just okay.
If you’re into large brewery vibes, this could be your spot. Personally, I don’t go out of my way to come here, but I also wouldn’t be upset if a group wanted to meet up here.“
“Two pitchers is really great. It’s a little loud and lively and they seem to have trivia, but it’s such a cool vibe, it’s in a fun part of town and there’s great indoor and outdoor seating. It’s great for big groups or small and even if it’s packed there’s seating. The beer, wine and fun drink category is soooo big how can you not be happy getting a drink here. If you get hungry walk over to the courtyard and grab a burger at lovely’s.“
