“I placed an order for my daughter's baby shower 4 days before the shower date. I was worried about being able to get a cake ordered in such a short time frame. I looked to Yelp as I always do to find a cake shop to rescue me. And I am glad that I came upon cake sisters. The whole experience from ordering to the final cake was amazing. I was able to explain over the phone what I wanted and followed up with an email. They executed my order flawlessly. The cake was stunning, and the flavor was delicious. I ordered vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and a Bavarian cream and pineapple filling. I described the cake that I wanted and it looked and tasted as if I had made it for myself. They were so spot on. It was soooo pretty. Especially the little edible shoes that they made. Although I did get a few pics, I didn't get any really good ones, but they took some before I'd picked it up. I hope they post it.“

“We absolutely love Susie Cakes. Every cupcake and cake that we have gotten there have been so delicious. The chocolate flourless cupcake is probably my favorite, it is like biting into a chocolate pillow.Today we tried the candy cane cake, champagne cupcake and mimosa cupcake. The candy cane cake is chock full of candy cane pieces. The mimosa had a light orange flavor and the champagne cupcake had a very light flavor in the frosting.“

“We ordered a vegan pumpkin pie & apple crumble pie. They were both very delicious. Everyone enjoyed them on thanksgiving. They also make bomb vegan cookies.Dietary restrictions: My daughter cant have eggs dairy or gluten & they were able to swap out items & make a delicous vegan pumpkin pie & vegan cookies.“

“Their kievsky and birds milk cakes are my all time favorites. I drive 40+ min to get their cakes and pastries. Parking is limited, and you have to keep a very good eye out for when to turn into their lot. The businesses there are cramped, and their driveway comes up on you fast. Once inside you grab a ticket and wait maybe 5 minutes even when they're busy for your turn. The employees are....there to work, not to chat. That's the best way to describe it. I can see how some would think they're being unfriendly, but don't take it personal. Get your goodies and go. There was a couple next to me that had no idea what they wanted or what to get, I helped them out because I've eaten nearly everything this place has to offer. Try to do your research beforehand as they will not hold your hand when placing an order. I recommend the birds milk, kievsky, fruit tart, tiramisu, and the meringues. The meringues are insanely good, I bought 15 to go....just for my family of 4, they're gone within 24 hours.“

“New ownership since the last time I stopped by a few years ago, but happy to see someone move into the spot. More of a classic panederia now vs the modern Mexican that was there before, but still very good. The new owners are definitely “mom and pop”, very hard working and very friendly. They didn’t have what I was looking for, which were the mini churros with dipping sauce for my office mates, so I tried a few other options and everyone seemed to love what I brought in. They gave me a card and said I can pre-order anything I wanted, including the mini churros sans dipping sauce as well as other mini versions of their regular pastries. Will definitely be back!“

The people took my order and I got the can't the next day with a $5 discount to boot! Tastes wonderful and my friends loved it too. If you're parking be careful though. Pasadena cops are quick to ticket. I saw someone getting a parking ticket.“

“What an absolute gem this shop is. We had our wedding cake made by Pastries by Nancy & oh boy it did not disappoint. When we had to go try cakes from different vendors, all we could talk about was the cakes from this shop. The owner was also very helpful & knowledgeable about the cakes & what could & wouldn’t work. I remember being most excited to have cake at the wedding more than the other parts of the wedding! We love their cake so much we are going to come back for a slice every year on our anniversary.“

“sweet potato cake here is so good. it's topped with a soft crumb and decorative, chewy sweet potato slices. the cream is just the right amount of sweetness, and the sweet potato paste is delicious. i would highly recommend the cake here! heavenly.“

“We are very happy with our two-tier 8" + 10" Pink Pearls And Roses wedding cake. We had purchased a cake for $80 from Sweet Oak because the baker didn't offer samples. We tried to work with her to make modifications but that didn't work out, so we tried Lark Cake Shop because they offered free samples. John allowed us to sample as many flavors as we liked in the form of cupcakes which we picked up in their Silver Lake location. We learned that it truly pays to go with a baker that offers free samples. He said the bottom tier could be different from the top tier so we chose mocha as the bottom tier and berry shortcake as the top tier. The only frosting available was Italian buttercream, which luckily was our favorite. The cake was moist and the frosting was not too sweet; it was delicious and memorable.“

“This little bake shop is awesome!! It's small and I loved the decorations. Went in to inquire about ordering cupcakes for my office. I was greeted instantly with a big smile and hello. Customer service is great and the cupcakes...OMG...so good. Hard to choose a favorite. The one that caught my eye was the Boston Cream cupcake. I love Boston Cream anything so of course had to give that one a try along with a few others including red velvet, cookies & cream, chocolate and vanilla. I did not try it, but they also have a vegan cupcake which I'm now intrigued about. Highly recommend. Stop by if you are in the area.“

“I was stressing looking for places who did cakes like this for a friend of mine, and on a short notice i came cross this place and she was so kind and understanding on how i would want the cake she was quick and over all made sure she would give me what i had in my mind she also delivered it the same day. I drove a long way and i was not disappointed i was scared but OMFG it was beautiful i loved it and will now come and grab any future cakes here. I 10000 percent recommend.“

“Great ice cream! Cold stone never fails on providing great service, however staff here is very very low. Probably just one or two people are serving, so expect longer wait times than usual if there’s a lot of people. Other than that, staff is friendly and do their best to be efficient and quick. I notified that they support local business, if you buy a pizza nearby (business on flyer) you’ll get a discount there at cold stone upon showing receipt.“
