“I love when you find a new restaurant and you can tell there’s love and passion built into every detail of the experience. My wife and I had an amazing time at Free Spirited. We met the owners Amber and Arleo and they were so friendly and welcoming. With regards to the food it was just as heartwarming. Don’t skip out on this spot! Also don’t be deceived by the menus! It reads for the omnivores in mind but everything is vegan and then you have to add meat, etc. if you want it. The couple asks for dietary restrictions up front and are great at explaining everything if you have additional questions. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-11“

“Their varieties of breads and cakes are fewer comparing to the other 85degree bakeries, I don’t mind driving further for more choices. But if I’m craving a slice of Black Forest cake, then I’ll come here, since they will always have the classics/basics here.“

Came here on a suggestion from a friend who's very sensitive to gluten. She could literally eat anything on the menu she was overwhelmed for the first time in ages!

Reasonably priced considering the food and atmosphere.

Food was excellent, the garlic bread was incredible!

I got the chicken and beef shawarma plate as a main dish. I loved the chicken it was juicy and flavorful. The shawarma, was a little over done on the spices but the meat was insanely tender.

We also had the garlic sauce, only get that if you love garlic otherwise it'll be too much.

For dessert I got their huge cookie which was really good!

I don't usually like gluten free food, but this spot nailed it perfectly, would recommend even to non gluten folks.

Atmosphere is beautiful, it definitely feels like you're somewhere else once you're inside or even in their outdoor area.

Staff was very friendly and more than helpful!

“A cozy café with a Korean vibe. I had been following posts about its opening on a thread, so I felt a sense of familiarity with it. The dessert and drink menu were simple and not over-the-top, which I really liked. I was surprised to see more foreigners than Koreans, even though cafés like this usually attract a lot of Koreans. The atmosphere was lovely as well.“

“Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the charming, highly-rated Hello You're Welcome café. They make and bake everything in house- you can even see the ovens. Really friendly staff with a slight hippie vibe. Some items were made with almond flour, like their giant chocolate chip cookie, so I had to skip them (allergic). I was pleasantly overwhelmed by a delicious gigantic frittata slice with bacon, onions, and tater tots inside. Togadachi coffee is really interesting: the beans were fermented with lavender. Extra sugar helped me adjust to the unique flavor. The wall full of retail items features coffee beans in VHS boxes, which is a first! I love their mugs and bought one to take home.“

“Yvonne and her team are the BEST of the BEST! Everything about the experience was exceptional. The team is so professional, organized, and prompt. They put so much love and care into the product. I ordered a custom birthday cake and it was better than any cake I could've ever dreamed of! absolutely perfect in every way visually. The taste and texture was phenomenal, even the non vegan/GF party guests were RAVING that it was the best cake they'd ever had. It is so hard to find a fully vegan/GF bakery that does cakes that are artistic, unique, and STUNNING- I cannot say enough good things about Yvonne and her amazing team. “Whenever I'm in Little Tokyo, I come here for the yummy fresh breads. The melon pan is like a Mexican concha, but with the sugary topping on top. The bread is so soft. Goes pretty well with some coffee. The Green Tea Roll Cake was delicious. It is a light, fluffy sponge cake flavored with Japanese matcha green tea powder, rolled into a cylinder, and filled with sweet cream. I also love getting the steam buns. I love getting the An Man, which is a sweet red bean. The taco man, which is beef and veggies, and the curry man, which is chicken and veggies. I highly recommend it if you're in Little Tokyo. The service is excellent.“

“If you’re looking for an allergy-friendly bakery, this is well worth the visit! We’re visiting from out of town and I just wish there was a place as just as careful as back home. I got really excited and got almost one of everything. There’s a small counter for sitting and eating. “What a fun spot to take your pup! Dog friendly outdoor patio where you can sit with your leashed pup, plus a mini “dog park”, which is really better suited as a place you can hang with your dog off leash! I love how Muddy Paw supports local animal charities 💕

“Absolutely incredible vegan dishes and top notch service! We stumbled on Rice when looking for vegan options; so happy we did! Dishes we tried: vegan crisp rice sampler, miso soup, garlic edamame, homemade ginger ale and the crispy dynamite role vegan. Everything was so good! The ginger ale was next level - highly recommend! We got homemade pickled ginger with the roll and it was unbelievably tasty and fresh. The miso soup was a nice surprise as most are not vegan; a broth that built upon each sip and the tofu was also homemade. The crispy dynamite vegan roll had such a unique and deep flavor - more smokey than spicy. I can't recommend the food enough. Thank you to the chef and for the exceptional service. What a treat!!“

“I went here to get a quick coffee (Americano) and a tiramisu. The coffee was actually good, and the tiramisu also tasted good! But what I love about this place is that they made the tiramisu take out special by adding whipped cream around the tiramisu (NOT on, don’t worry) so that there wouldn’t be empty space.

The owner of Bon Vivant was SO nice. A very sweet man. The service was great, even for take out.“

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. Thank you Sonora Bakery…. You have a customer for life!“

“First time coming here. Just wanted a cute vegan spot for coffee with some food. They had so many options it was hard to choose. I ended up ordering something extra to go. Everything was so good. I had the breakfast sandwich, dirty chai latte, jackfruit tacos and a tart with apples and almonds. It’s bittersweet that I live in South LA otherwise I’d be here every week. 😅“

“I was always curious about sandwiches sold at pho restaurants, and this place was my first. I will say it was a fantastic sandwich. I enjoyed every crispy bite with all the veggies in the sandwich followed by the rich savory fat taste of the pork belly. The service was pretty good too, I chose a table that was “dirty”, unintentionally, and the server cleaned it before I could mention it and bought me ice cold water as if he knew I was thirsty. Everything about this little hidden spot, on the second floor of the mall, was great.“

“I’ve been to the DTLA Arts District location so many times, so I was shocked (in the best way) to discover this one so close to home. The space is modern, clean, and has a cool vibe — though I still lean toward the unique Arts District atmosphere. What really stands out is the pizza: same incredible quality as DTLA. Blindfold me and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

The only thing to keep in mind is that pizza by the slice can add up — if you’re thinking of grabbing more than two, a fresh pie might be the smarter move. Either way, I’m thrilled to have another amazing spot nearby!“

T-Swirl Crépe is a Japanese crepes franchise that offer the finest crepes in America. This location is at a large plaza in Temple City. They have the freshest ingredients and all are Gluten-free! Also, they have smoothie and milk tea. It was my first time here and perused their vast list. I had a mini Berry crepe and it taste good. For me it hits everything from the light sweetness to texture to flavor.

Service was modest. Staff were competent. Prices were fair that match the quality. Atmosphere was relaxing. Vibe was okay. Seats were comfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my Japanese crepe. I recommend you visit. I shall return.“
