I decided to wait, and it turned out to be one of the smartest decisions I’ve made—the wait was absolutely worth it. “4.5 ⭐️s for overall experience! My friend, her kids, and I enjoyed our meal in mostly every way - flavors, service, and cleanliness. The house salad was healthy (not just iceberg lettuce) and had a generous portion for one person. My friend said it was super delicious - Sunset roll, blue crab roll, and miso black cod were on point flavor wise. Only negatives were that the seaweed was a bit chewy (not super tough though) and the soup slightly salty. The staff was kind, friendly, attentive, and patient - hard to come by these days. Prices are reasonable and I plan to come back. Parking is tougher at times in this plaza, but at some point, you'll find a spot.“

Had to wait around 20 minutes on Sunday evening since it is so popular. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There are lots of cute duck decorations inside too. “Chinchikurin was my first ever Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. I've had the Osaka version in Japan many years ago, but haven't had okonomiyaki of any kind in the US since. So this experience was definitely fun. The food was very tasty and well built. I ordered the Loaded Kaisen, which was the seafood okonomiyaki as part of the 11-layer savory pancake. It was very filling. After the cooks make the okonomiyaki at the main teppan grill, you eat it at your own personal grill at your table, which keeps your order nice and warm. Be sure to put a lot of the mayo and otafuku sauce atop it to make the flavor even bolder and more exciting. If you've never had okonomiyaki before, Chinchikurin is a great place to start. There are very few of these kinds of restaurants in LA, so Chinchikurin is a very unique Japanese cuisine in Little Tokyo worth scoping out. “This has been my go-to place now when i want to eat somewhere that is affordable, has a good value and in a setting where i can grab other things for my shopping on my way in or out. I find myself sitting for hours here enjoying a lot of food at good prices and just the ambience of being in a foodcourt setting.

Ther offer a curry dish and a katsu dish with everything they have. The curry dishes just has the item with rice and curry, however, if you add a dollar more, you get a katsu dish when includes a soup and salad. Theyre not stingy with their portions either, so expect all their servings to be huge. Its actually enough for me to take home and feed me for at least two more meals. Of all the options they have, i recommend the fish katsu - every time ive had it, i can barely close the lid, the texture is the most crunchy and the inside is cooked just right... and i just like fish.“

“Hidden gem of an authentic Japanese sushi and sashimi market. The entrance is located in the back of a side driveway. Though this market is small, I carries fresh sushi, sashimi trays ready to eat. Plus they have a kitchen made to order & ready to cut sashimi at your request. I'm also amazed to see the varieties of different raw fish, uni from Santa Barbara and raw scallops; all at reasonable prices.
They also carry cute Japanese stationary, frozen and regular food items. Definitely this is a place I heartily recommend.“

There’s something timeless about Mori’s. It’s not just the food - it’s the feeling. From the moment we walked in, Mori himself greeted us and helped us get settled. A legend in his own right, his presence added a deeply personal touch that made the meal feel like more than just dinner - it felt like a tradition.

My mom was visiting from out of town, and this was one of the first places on our list. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked - tender and flavorful. The vegetables and rice were simple but done just right.

But what really stood out - beyond the food - were the walls. Lined with photos, memories, and drawings created by children who’ve passed through these doors, the restaurant tells a quiet story of community, connection, and legacy.
