“I think Prime Pizza is the best New York style pizza you can get in the LA area. The pizza is really crispy, and they offer both round and square pies. You can order by the slice or get a whole pizza. My go to slices are the spicy pepperoni, classic cheese, and pepperoni. The hoagie is also very good and worth trying.

The parking lot itself is small, but street parking is easy and usually not a far walk. Beyond the food, this location feels very community driven. You can really see it with Pasadena and Altadena merch being sold and the overall neighborhood vibe from the people here.

Seating is outdoor only in a patio setup, and they have a big TV outside where they show sports, which adds to the experience. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to.“

I ordered Nopales & Eggs, my brother ordered French Toast & Eggs with sausage and bacon. The food was so fresh and delicious. I can’t wait to try the other items on the menu. “Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. “The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!“

“Stopped in on a Tuesday night to grab dinner with some friends and now I can see why this place is always busy!

We ordered pad see ew with chicken, chicken satay, papaya salad and Tom yum with shrimp. Everything was delicious and family style was the perfect way to go. Everything was flavorful from the tom yum broth to the satay peanut sauce.

Service was impeccable! We were able to get in without a reservation and there was virtually no wait time for a party of four. The server made sure we got our beer orders in on time before the happy hour ended and was very attentive to our needs, ensuring everything was to our satisfaction.

“Favorite Sichuan restaurant in California! Definitely the most authentic Sichuan food I’ve ever had in the states (yes I’m from Sichuan so take my word for it lol)
We live in the Bay Area, but whenever we’re visiting LA, we go to this place because of the great taste.
We ordered rabbit, beef and beef. The portions were HUGE. Every dish was flavorful, and it’s amazing that they picked seasonal vegetables to complement the flavor of the meat in each dish. And the spiciness is really close to what I had back at home in Sichuan. The chengdu fried rice(this should be the name if I remember it correctly) is also very good, not oily at all.
The restaurant owner is also very nice and she told us the rabbit meat is fresh from the butcher shop everyday, which sets this restaurant apart from others. (Well, this is the only restaurants in the states that I have ever been to that serves rabbit on the menu, so I really appreciate that)

“We stopped by Hai Cha for boba tea after visiting the museum. The owner greeted us right away as we walked through the door. He's super friendly and he was very welcoming. We got Hai Cha special milk tea with boba. Waffle was boba. Yogurt smoothie and mango smoothie. The size of the smoothies were huge. We enjoyed our food.“
