“Ate dine in at this little hole-in-the-wall joint on a recent visit to LA. Close (street) parking was a miracle, but theres also parking (and bathrooms) across the street at the El Super. Portions for a Boil Bag were generous, one corn, potato, rice and a few broccoli were included. All amenities were provided: table paper, bibs, sanitizer, bucket, gloves, scissors for crab legs. Cajun garlic butter seasoning was delicious, not too spicy for the kids. Speaking of kids, seafood boil keep kids remarkably entertained! This place deserves all the good reviews. Our only (small) complaint is the distance to a bathroom, but it's a small price to pay for a delicious meal.“

what takes this place from good to great is the service. the host and servers are attentive without being overbearing and are deeply knowledgeable about all aspects of the raw bar, cooked food, wine, and beverages. i’ve never had an issue with accommodating simple modifications (like removing a pork product).

I was in fact at the restaurant the night one reviewer below (complaining about the service) was there. they were an entitled group of drunk girls asking for difficult requests (trying to split the bill a number of ways). as they were walking out of the restaurant and waiting for the uber, they were extremely loud and rude. I wouldn’t be particularly excited to serve their group either.

“This is a great spot for a seafood forward Mexican meal with an absolutely stunning patio. We got a few dishes but the standouts are the scallop tostada (culichi tostada) and the branzino zarandeados. The branzino comes with beans, rice, avocado, tortillas, quesadillas, onions and salsas. We loved making our own tortilla with the quesadillas that it came with. Make sure you leave room for the iconic LA churros!!“

“Very authentic and delicious Sichuan restaurant. The sauerkraut fish is their specialty and definitely worth trying. The portions are quite big, we were able to share the single sauerkraut fish dish between two people. You order on your phone and they bring out the food, and all of the utensils and napkins are in a little drawer at your table. Very clean interior and the staff are always ready to assist when needed. They also have fortune sticks which are fun.“

We got the warm with butter, in my opinion, the only way to eat lobster. And it was delicious. Just splurge, so worth it. I will come back just for the lobster roll. “Very cute spot, that I would return to if I had a random weekday off. When we went there were hardly any other parties so we had no issues finding a seat.

The menu has something for everyone. It didn't take long for our order to come out. Portions were bigger than what I was expecting (I was worried they were going to be tapas sized portion, but the yellowtail tostada was quite filling), so I would say that dishes are reasonably priced. My friend and I felt the flavors hit the mark with each dish.

In retrospect, I could have ordered just the tostada with my americano and be satisfied. But I am glad to have tried more things on the menu. I would say that the dishes, while savory, leaned more light which I think is perfect for brunch.

During our visit, I got the yellowtail tostada, fish taco, and flautas. All were delicious. They also have a milk punch/clarified cocktail that my friend ordered (which are hard to find in LA) and it was also a well balanced drink.“

“There is a public parking in the back of this restaurant. We came here for lunch on Sunday. I heard that they are known for their seafood. This place has lunch special, which was a good deal. This restaurant is very clean, especially their bathroom. We ordered chicken, tofu in clay pot, satay beef with vegetable, shrimp, and soup. Food was very authentic. My favorite is the satay beef with vegetable. The meat was tender and flavorful. Our server was very attentive and service was fast. Will come back for more Chinese food!“

“We were so hungry and went to have lunch at Mayflower Seafood Restaurant. Hot tea was served. The food came in 10 minutes sharp. The Seafood soup was great, the fried whole fish, then the House special Fried Rice was brought out and the Beef with Bitter Melon was wonderful for the four hungry people.
So good that we finished everything in 30 minutes flat.
The owner came and chat with us while we were served Tapioca Ginataan for dessert.
When he learned that my friends, Rudy and Malou came from Jersey, New York he was pleased and honored that he brought another tasty dish, stir fry green beans with big slices of fried Rock Cod fish.
So full that we asked to wrap up the food.

“Haven’t been here in a long while and kinda forgot about it. But my parents wanted to go specifically for some garlic crab. And it did not disappoint! One of the better Cantonese style Chinese restaurants in the SGV! I would absolutely come more often now. Whoever cooked on 8/15 dinner time, chefs kiss.

Garlic crab was delicious. Although crab is so tedious to eat like this, it was really good. Beef filet cubes were super flavorful and so tender. Not chewy at all like other Chinese restaurants make it. The lobster was my favorite. Black pepper seasoning was not too overpowering and the basil added such a nice aroma. Green beans were amazing. Perfect amount of wok char flavor and spice. Salt and pepper squid was fried perfectly, not chewy or tough at all. Clams were tasty but for this one you gotta enjoy bittermelon. If you don’t, stick with the clams and black bean sauce. Fried tofu was good, soy sauce with it just needed some chili. Beef chow fun was delicious, you can taste the wok char, noodles were perfect texture, we said no bean sprouts so they kindly added Chinese broccoli for us. The fried rice was good but lacking on something. I would definitely try a different fried rice next time.

Service - keeping in mind it’s a Chinese restaurant, they were still sooooo nice! Attentive with tea and switching plates. Food came out quick. They brought napkins and checked on us. We enjoyed our dining experience.

Parking - free small lot in this little plaza. Didn’t have an issue with parking at all. I’m sure if they got busy, parking might be a smidge difficult. But we had no issues with 3 cars.“
