“We have been wanting to go to Bravante Vineyards for some time now as we recently were gifted their 2017 Merlot, which we absolutely loved. Jeff was our host and he was incredibly knowledgeable and such a pleasure to chat with. We felt like we had known him forever. All of Bravante’s wines were delicious and we couldn’t help but purchase a case of their reds to take home. We also joined their wine club. We live locally and are looking forward to our next visit. “My wife and I ate here for dinner and had a fantastic experience. We had a couple different glasses of wine and our waiter was amazing at walking us through different samples of wine before we landed on ones we liked. The choices were great.

We were on our honeymoon and the waiter brought out complimentary glasses of rose sparkling wine which was delicious. We started with the beef tartar, the crudo, and sourdough rolls— each was delicious and a great start. Our main dishes were the pumpkin risotto and short rib, both delicious as well. The short rib was so tender it melted in my mouth. We ended with a toffee cake that was delicious and hit the spot.

The staff was incredible the entire time. Our waiter (I think Laura?) was amazing and even gave us a few recommendations on places to try during our visit, which we did!“

“What an Amazing experience with Roman as our host. We loved walking in the gorgeous vineyard and viewing the fog on Atlas peak in the distance. The wines are so elegant and delightful. I highly recommend the tasting experience expertly paired with delectable bites. The most enjoyable part of the morning was hearing the stories that Roman told us about the property and all of the details we enjoy in the making of the wine down to the quotes on each cork. We will always remember this beautiful experience when sipping our Fantesca wines home in Tennessee.“

“Rombauer allows you to reserve a table for wine by the glass or bottle, and they even welcome outside food for a picnic-style experience at their garden tables. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and make the whole experience feel extra special.

My partner and I visited on my 30th birthday. We couldn’t sit outside because of the rain, but the team set up a lovely table for me inside, complete with a big birthday balloon. Thank you for making my birthday so special!“

“Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. We enjoyed everything so much that I decided that after July of this year, I would like to switch my wine club over to Hall from another wine club that I have in Napa. Very much looking forward to our next visit!“

“Our best visit during our trip to Napa! We visited Domaine Carneros, B.Cellars, Davis Estates, Grgich, and Prager Port. We had a nice visit at all of those vineyards, but none of them came close to the hospitality, friendliness and generosity that Ryan Morales showed us during our tasting at Maxville. The wines were fantastic, as was meeting Cullen...a member of the wine making team. The entire visit was spot on from the minute we arrived, to the tour of the grounds, to the tasting. Exceptional, proud to be a club member at Maxville...can't wait until our next visit.“

Markham is our favorite of the 20 we visited that week. We will be joining their wine club... when we finish the wine we shipped home.

Great tasting and our host went above and beyond. While multitasking his guests including a private party, he made us feel more than just welcome. He gave us appropriate time to enjoy our wine, always returning at the right time. He shared history and fun personal experiences living in Napa for over 50 years, while laughing with us. Regrettably, his contact info was lost during wine shipping home.“

The experience they are able to add to our visits are always filled with expertise, great wines and merchandise along with truly amazing customer service. “My friends and I stopped in yesterday afternoon for a tasting and were blown away by the hospitality we received from the staff. The staff that served us were James and Noemmi. Noemmi and James were very attentive and hospitable. The wines we sampled were amazing and showed a true testament to the diversity of the Napa valley wine experience. I highly recommend if you’re looking to try some amazing Napa Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and an amazing Cabernet Franc which often isn’t thought of in Napa!“

The staff were very friendly and offered us samples, including a delicious matcha flavor that has the right amount of sweetness. “Napa Valley’s new hidden gem is Robert’s Tropical Table located in a converted breezeway/parking lot adjacent to the Mount View Hotel right here in Calistoga. Robert has been known for a decade as one of the handful of magical mixologists in our Valley having a long bar run at Sol Bar (until they closed for remodel and Covid) and then Brasswood before launching his rendition of a Jamaican Beach Cafe. His Ocho Rios roots come alive with a delicious selection of jerk chicken, pork belly, and wings with an escovitch fish perhaps better than mine. And never to be missed are the festival dumplings and a perfect Dark and Stormy. Open DAILY when the music is playing and gates are ajar (3pm to 10pm).“

“It was raining when we visited so they set us up on the porch of the main building, which I LOVED. They had the heaters going and offered a cozy blanket. We were allowed to walk literally anywhere we wanted which was such a cool experience to see the bottling process and the cellar. All wines were delish and the staff was so friendly and attentive, especially Angela and Jeff(?). Would recommend!“

“5 stara for ambience, service, and the fact that kids are allowed, 3.5 stars for the wine itself. We had a 6 year old with us and very few places in Napa allow kids these days, but this one was on several lists. The setting is gorgeous and we had great service in the bistro. Our party of 6 adults and 2 kids ordered a bunch of food like muffaletta sandwiches and a variety of cheeses, and order all 5 glasses of wine and turned it into a tasting. We had a nice big area to ourselves and we were encouraged to wander the property with our wine if we wanted. The property is huge and feels like an old Europe chateau. The wines were decent but not amazing, especially for the price. But I liked the wines here better than Hoopes, another kid-friendly winery, and I'd definitely come back if I was in the area with my kid again.“

“We recently visited Calistoga for a wine tasting getaway. We stumbled upon August Briggs Winery while walking around and explore the downtown strip, and WHAT A FIND! Matt was so much fun to talk to and explained the intricacies of sourcing for various wines and considerations for selecting grapes for his wines. Not only did we learn a ton, but the wines were FABULOUS! We brought several bottles home and my partner has a list of new questions to ask next time we visit!
