“We have been wanting to go to Bravante Vineyards for some time now as we recently were gifted their 2017 Merlot, which we absolutely loved. Jeff was our host and he was incredibly knowledgeable and such a pleasure to chat with. We felt like we had known him forever. All of Bravante’s wines were delicious and we couldn’t help but purchase a case of their reds to take home. We also joined their wine club. We live locally and are looking forward to our next visit. “Sequoia Grove winery is basically a home away from home. I’ve been going to this place for close to 10 years. I absolutely !!!LOVE!!! it. Every time I go there, they treat you like a family member. Almost every employee is super nice, accommodating and they provide world class customer service! I truly mean this. I love their wine, I go there because I get the magical experience with it. It really feels like I’m going to a family summer house somewhere in the Mediterranean. I go for the beautiful scenery, for the relaxing atmosphere and for good vibes. If you want to have a perfectly rounded get away for a day or a weekend, check them out.“

“My wife and I ate here for dinner and had a fantastic experience. We had a couple different glasses of wine and our waiter was amazing at walking us through different samples of wine before we landed on ones we liked. The choices were great.

We were on our honeymoon and the waiter brought out complimentary glasses of rose sparkling wine which was delicious. We started with the beef tartar, the crudo, and sourdough rolls— each was delicious and a great start. Our main dishes were the pumpkin risotto and short rib, both delicious as well. The short rib was so tender it melted in my mouth. We ended with a toffee cake that was delicious and hit the spot.

The staff was incredible the entire time. Our waiter (I think Laura?) was amazing and even gave us a few recommendations on places to try during our visit, which we did!“

“The tasting experience was amazing, and our host was so wonderful—warm, energetic, and genuinely passionate about the wines, which made the whole experience even more fun. The views were unreal, easily some of the best in Napa, and the value of the tasting was hands-down the best we found.

We loved the wines so much that we ended up buying several bottles, which waived the tasting fees and made it an even better deal. Everything from the service to the scenery to the wine itself exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend a visit to Rombauer—truly a must-stop in Napa.“

“What an Amazing experience with Roman as our host. We loved walking in the gorgeous vineyard and viewing the fog on Atlas peak in the distance. The wines are so elegant and delightful. I highly recommend the tasting experience expertly paired with delectable bites. The most enjoyable part of the morning was hearing the stories that Roman told us about the property and all of the details we enjoy in the making of the wine down to the quotes on each cork. We will always remember this beautiful experience when sipping our Fantesca wines home in Tennessee.“

“Our best visit during our trip to Napa! We visited Domaine Carneros, B.Cellars, Davis Estates, Grgich, and Prager Port. We had a nice visit at all of those vineyards, but none of them came close to the hospitality, friendliness and generosity that Ryan Morales showed us during our tasting at Maxville. The wines were fantastic, as was meeting Cullen...a member of the wine making team. The entire visit was spot on from the minute we arrived, to the tour of the grounds, to the tasting. Exceptional, proud to be a club member at Maxville...can't wait until our next visit.“

“Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. We enjoyed everything so much that I decided that after July of this year, I would like to switch my wine club over to Hall from another wine club that I have in Napa. Very much looking forward to our next visit!“

“At my first visit I decided to become a member. The tasting room is very artsy, the grounds are small but nice to walk. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally, you get free monthly access to other tasting rooms at couple of nearby wineries.

Wine taste is very subjective, so that's a bit more difficult to rate. What one person likes might be unpleasant to another. I've been at wineries where I don't like any of their wines, as well as one where I liked 9 out of 10 tastings. At Raymond, I like several of their reds, and all of their whites. Over all a very pleasant tasting experience worth repeating here and there.“

Markham is our favorite of the 20 we visited that week. We will be joining their wine club... when we finish the wine we shipped home.

Great tasting and our host went above and beyond. While multitasking his guests including a private party, he made us feel more than just welcome. He gave us appropriate time to enjoy our wine, always returning at the right time. He shared history and fun personal experiences living in Napa for over 50 years, while laughing with us. Regrettably, his contact info was lost during wine shipping home.“

“My friends and I stopped in yesterday afternoon for a tasting and were blown away by the hospitality we received from the staff. The staff that served us were James and Noemmi. Noemmi and James were very attentive and hospitable. The wines we sampled were amazing and showed a true testament to the diversity of the Napa valley wine experience. The staff were very friendly and offered us samples, including a delicious matcha flavor that has the right amount of sweetness. I highly recommend getting the strawberry and pistachio flavors together with their homemade waffle cone. A must when visiting Calistoga!🍦“

“Napa Valley’s new hidden gem is Robert’s Tropical Table located in a converted breezeway/parking lot adjacent to the Mount View Hotel right here in Calistoga. Robert has been known for a decade as one of the handful of magical mixologists in our Valley having a long bar run at Sol Bar (until they closed for remodel and Covid) and then Brasswood before launching his rendition of a Jamaican Beach Cafe. His Ocho Rios roots come alive with a delicious selection of jerk chicken, pork belly, and wings with an escovitch fish perhaps better than mine. And never to be missed are the festival dumplings and a perfect Dark and Stormy. Open DAILY when the music is playing and gates are ajar (3pm to 10pm).“

“It was raining when we visited so they set us up on the porch of the main building, which I LOVED. They had the heaters going and offered a cozy blanket. We were allowed to walk literally anywhere we wanted which was such a cool experience to see the bottling process and the cellar. We took a ride down to Napa Valley and our first stop was at Alpha Omega Winery. Even though it was cold, a little bit muggy, we were able to warm ourselves up by the fire. Every single day trip I make to Napa since 2021, I’m sure to stop at Turnbull for a tasting. I adore this place, Grant and Oswaldo are stellar. So knowledgeable and friendly. “This was our second visit to Honig. The first time, a friend introduced us, and we enjoyed the wine and the environment. As part of our anniversary weekend, we decided to return, and we’re so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly. “We recently visited Calistoga for a wine tasting getaway. We stumbled upon August Briggs Winery while walking around and explore the downtown strip, and WHAT A FIND! Matt was so much fun to talk to and explained the intricacies of sourcing for various wines and considerations for selecting grapes for his wines. Not only did we learn a ton, but the wines were FABULOUS! We brought several bottles home and my partner has a list of new questions to ask next time we visit!
