“My wife and I visited for lunch on a weekday. It was a peaceful, relaxing time to dine, as the restaurant was not too crowded. While many guests were enjoying the beautiful weather on the patio, we opted for the bright, comfortable indoor seating.
The Food:
Shrimp Cocktail: Very well prepared and delicious.
Caesar Salad with Fried Chicken: A unique twist that is highly recommended.
Black Cod Rice Bowl: Excellent flavor; my wife thoroughly enjoyed it.
Service:
The staff were incredibly polite and attentive throughout our meal.
Verdict:
A fantastic Michelin-rated spot. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Calistoga!“
“Our visit to Tank this weekend was great as always. Patrick was super fun and shared a lot of knowledge with us. He also introduced us to the sister winery James Cole and gave a recommendation which I ended up loving at our tasting over there. Thanks again for the great experience Patrick!“
“Amazing service!! Thanks Stephanie!“
“Sequoia Grove winery is basically a home away from home. I’ve been going to this place for close to 10 years. I absolutely !!!LOVE!!! it. Every time I go there, they treat you like a family member. Almost every employee is super nice, accommodating and they provide world class customer service! I truly mean this. I love their wine, I go there because I get the magical experience with it. It really feels like I’m going to a family summer house somewhere in the Mediterranean. I go for the beautiful scenery, for the relaxing atmosphere and for good vibes. If you want to have a perfectly rounded get away for a day or a weekend, check them out.“

“They aren't kidding that this is a "local favorite". Everything we ordered was delicious and they were quite accommodating about me bringing my own, local wine. They also have an impressive business model worthy of support! I'm going back here next week! <3“
“An absolute gem of a winery—graceful, inviting, and memorable in all the right ways.
Our group—six adults and one very content 10-month-old (we called ahead to be sure he was welcome)—settled in effortlessly and were rewarded with an experience that felt both relaxed and refined. We chose the veranda, where the view opened onto a lush garden alive with movement. Between sips, we caught glimpses of hummingbirds darting like jewels, butterflies drifting lazily, and even the occasional chipmunk making a curious appearance.
Our hostess guided us through the $50 tasting with warmth and expertise, bringing each of the five wines to life with just the right balance of knowledge and ease. Every pour impressed—distinct, expressive, and genuinely enjoyable. And the thoughtful touch of applying the tasting fee toward bottle purchases? That sealed the deal. Each couple left with at least two bottles in hand—a testament to both the quality of the wine and the smart, guest-friendly approach.
Inside, a wall of glass reveals rows upon rows of barrels stretching into the distance, a quiet reminder of the craftsmanship behind every glass. You can wander through this space via the gift shop, adding another layer to the experience.
A place that manages to feel both elevated and welcoming—I’d return without hesitation.“
“My parents have been club members since 2003 so we come here often. We came in for my dad’s birthday and had an amazing time. The young woman who poured for us, Melissa, was exceptional. Very knowledgeable and conversational, no rehearsed monologue that’s written on the menu. Remembered likes and dislikes and geared our tastings individually. She also brought my dad an extra special pour to celebrate. Great time!“

“The yurt experience is really special“
“Great tasting experience. I’ve always enjoyed Nickel & Nickel wine, but was a bit skeptical heading into the on-site experience as I’ve been let down by a fair number of Napa wineries. Ultimately, I was super pleased. It was informative without being preachy. By the end I understood a lot more about the different vineyards in the N&N portfolio and I enjoyed all of them. Joe hosted us and he was great. his discretionary pours were selected based on our feedback from the initial wines and were spot-on. Also, the space was great - we were able to sip at our own pace and didn’t feel rushed at all. Will be back.“
“The tasting experience was amazing, and our host was so wonderful—warm, energetic, and genuinely passionate about the wines, which made the whole experience even more fun. The views were unreal, easily some of the best in Napa, and the value of the tasting was hands-down the best we found.
We loved the wines so much that we ended up buying several bottles, which waived the tasting fees and made it an even better deal. Everything from the service to the scenery to the wine itself exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend a visit to Rombauer—truly a must-stop in Napa.“

“We’ve been customers for 5 years now. Food is fresh, flavorful, eye popping, and perfect for sharing. We usually get one of their seasonal salads, a bruschetta or sandwich and polenta tots to start. For wine, ask for Keegan, he’s amazing.“

“Amazing service and great food! We felt very welcomed and appreciated“
“We voted this our favorite winery of our trip to Napa! Amazing wine, staff, and overall experience. We felt so welcomed and at home. We loved exploring the beautiful gardens and seeing the goats. Lowkey and such a relaxing experience. Everyone there is so sweet and wonderful. I already can’t wait to go back!“
“At my first visit I decided to become a member. The tasting room is very artsy, the grounds are small but nice to walk. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally, you get free monthly access to other tasting rooms at couple of nearby wineries.
Wine taste is very subjective, so that's a bit more difficult to rate. What one person likes might be unpleasant to another. I've been at wineries where I don't like any of their wines, as well as one where I liked 9 out of 10 tastings. At Raymond, I like several of their reds, and all of their whites. Over all a very pleasant tasting experience worth repeating here and there.“
“Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. We enjoyed everything so much that I decided that after July of this year, I would like to switch my wine club over to Hall from another wine club that I have in Napa. Very much looking forward to our next visit!“
“Really nice wines, attentive and genuine staff. A great, family owned winery with an interesting story that provides grapes to many other wineries. Artisan tasting was a really lovely mix of 3 cheeses, a cured prime rib, apricots and almonds. Ricardo did awesome, and appreciated Sam's coordination. We'll be back.“
“Our first time wine tasting at ZD as first taste members. Welcoming host and staff. We enjoyed a leisurely sunny day tasting great wines. Victor our server was engaging and knowledgeable about the wines. We also had nice tour from Walter who graciously showed us the garden and grounds. We will be back soon. I love the non pretentious and casual setting. Keep it up ZD.“

“Your holiday guide/booklet of gifts for 2025 is fabulous and such a creative way of cataloguing your offerings. Bravo! It's fun to swipe through the pages and click on items to see them up close and purchase. What a pleasure to spend time leafing through it!“
“The concierge at Harvest Inn, Maria D’Ambrosio, booked us in for a tasting at Louis M. Martini for our 30th anniversary and OMG was it epic! We were greeted by our host, Holden, at the front door and given a quick tour of their tasting facilities. We sampled many of their tasty wines in their dining room and were then treated to a 5 course meal! The food and wine were both amazing and to wrap it up, we were given an oak plank from a wine barrel with a special anniversary message on it for us as a keepsake. We were really well taken care and we purchased several bottles of their delicious wines and we will most definitely be returning! Highly recommend stopping in here for their wines, food and amazing people!“
“Out of all of the wineries/vineyards we visited, we got the best education from B Cellars. Forest was a wealth of fascinating information about how wine is made. While we enjoyed our tasty charcuterie spread with our tastings, he showed us maps of all of the vineyards in the valley and explained the importance of the location of where a grape comes from. Our private tour of this stunning winery also included the caves, their gardens, honey bees, and it's production facility-all meticulously maintained. Wonderful experience.“

“Omg! Thank you Clif Winery! I had ordered wine back in February and was going to pick it up in May during my mom’s b-day celebration. Because that had to be cancelled, they delivered the wine to me today, along with a few bonus bottles! Love these guys! Thank you Ashley Cox, John Sundin and the whole Clif Winery Family! :)“
“Would highly recommend a stop at Markham Vineyards! Fabulous wines and service. Zoey was an amazing guide for us on our tasting tour! She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Make sure this is a stop on your wine tasting tour, especially if you are a fan of reds! Thank you Markham and Zoey for an experience we will not forget! PS. Loved the wine greeting in the parking lot!“
“Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Booked about a month in advance, and the experience was absolutely worth it. A beautiful winery surrounded by vineyards, with a fully open-air courtyard. We can even walk downstairs to see the vines up close. When it came to the tasting, the server walked us through each wine with a map, explaining the vineyard location and vintage in detail. As someone who doesn’t know much about wine, I was surprised that I could actually follow along — and found it genuinely interesting.
Wine ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Did the four-wine tasting. The most memorable for me were:
• 2019 Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
This one felt very balanced and approachable. Smooth, not overwhelming, and easy to enjoy even without knowing much about wine..
• 2019 Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Clearly the standout. More layered and elegant,it just tastes… more refined.
What really clicked for me was tasting the wines in order from lower to higher price — suddenly it made sense why the more expensive ones are considered better😁.
Overall 🍷
I’m not really into crowded, hype-driven places. I know Opus One is iconic and always busy, but this winery felt much more low-key and intimate. Beautiful setting, thoughtful service, and a truly hidden gem kind of experience. I really loved it and would happily come back.“

“The best beans, rice, and tortillas I’ve ever had! The staff members are warm and welcoming, it felt like eating with family. This was a last minute decision for us and we are so glad we stopped in, we’ll make the trip from Vacaville to St. Helena just to eat here ❤️“
“We visited Grgich Hills Estate recently and had a wonderful experience. Ryan was our host / wine educator. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. He shared the history of Grgich Hills with us, told us about each wine and answered any question we asked. We also had the pleasure to meet Violet Grgich, whom was lovely. Grgich Hills Estate was recommended to us by Vince from Chateau Montelena. We are so glad he recommended Grgich Hills and that we visited. We enjoyed it so much, my husband and I joined their wine club.“
“Juan was absolutely AMAZING as a tour guide and tasting host. The wines are delicious. Jen is also extremely helpful with making reservations/helping with any changes. Such a fabulous crew running this place. Highly, highly recommend a visit here!“
“The wine is amazing and different from rest of Napa. Cave was impressive but our tour guide Suzanne was okay, felt like she was rushing to be done. I asked her how does the wine flavor change with aging process, she said the flavor evolves over time just like any wine.“
“Off the beaten path and well worth the journey. Great History and wonderful new tasting setup. The staff rocks. I have been a member 3 different times over about a 20 year period.“
“We have been here twice now. Both times, our experience felt personalized and special. The staff really made us feel like more than tourists. Some great stories behind the wines. Not to mention, the wines themselves are incredible. To top it all off, it’s a lovely property right in the middle of some BEAUTIFUL views of the valley. If you’re looking for a smaller, more intimate wine tasting experience, this is worth the stop.“

“It was raining when we visited so they set us up on the porch of the main building, which I LOVED. They had the heaters going and offered a cozy blanket. We were allowed to walk literally anywhere we wanted which was such a cool experience to see the bottling process and the cellar. All wines were delish and the staff was so friendly and attentive, especially Angela and Jeff(?). Would recommend!“

“We love Guillermo at Reverie II! If you’re looking for the best deep red wine you’ve ever tasted, you have come to the right place. This was our second visit to the property and it was even more beautiful than we remembered. The Cabernet Franc was a personal favorite – we had to take some home with us
Guillermo took us on an ATV to the best view of the vineyards I have ever seen in all my years of traveling to Napa. He shared some incredible stories from his years in the wine industry.“
“Great wines. Great people. Great views.“
“Beautiful people and wine!“
“My favorite winery in Napa with my favorite wine I’ve ever tried (the 2018 Leo, all vintages are amazing!). Every single day trip I make to Napa since 2021, I’m sure to stop at Turnbull for a tasting. I adore this place, Grant and Oswaldo are stellar. So knowledgeable and friendly. They make the experience so far above any other winery I’ve been to. They’re willing to answer any and all questions and really deep dive into the wine. Couldn’t recommend this place more!“
“This was our second visit to Honig. The first time, a friend introduced us, and we enjoyed the wine and the environment. As part of our anniversary weekend, we decided to return, and we’re so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly. Our host (we’re so mad at ourselves for forgetting her name!) was wonderful, knowledgeable, engaging, and generous enough to give us a quick tour of the vineyard. We weren’t expecting that, but it made our visit truly memorable to see the vines up close. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in wine country!“

“The food was amazing. We got a variety of items and everything was sooo good. However, the server had a bit of an attitude which tainted the experience, which was supposed to be a celebratory meal for our group.“
“I honestly expected this to be a corporate, soulless, overpriced tasting but I had a pretty good time here.
The building itself is beautiful, even though we only saw the inside given the construction. The tasting room is very posh and comfortable.
Our host was great. Didn’t catch his name but we had a great discussion about wine and he was very kind and accommodating. Not pretentious or snobby at all like I was expecting.
That being said, this wine is very expensive and I probably would not recommend this tasting for someone who isn’t a wine enthusiast. My wife is less of a wine nerd than me and she wasn’t a fan of the aged Opus One. We tried a 2012, and while I thought it was great my wife did not like the earthy tertiary flavors. We heard similar sentiment from another couple we talked to, they said “It smelled funny.”
It’s not the most crowd-pleasing or affordable wine in Napa, but a visit here is a treat for wine enthusiasts.“
“Go while you can! Duckhorn has been purchased and the Paraduxx label is going to be shut down since it isn't making enough money for some bean-counter. Paraduxx is one of the few places doing something different in Napa and it will be a real loss.“
“I’m just a girl who loves wine…..
We took a ride down to Napa Valley and our first stop was at Alpha Omega Winery. Even though it was cold, a little bit muggy, we were able to warm ourselves up by the fire. If we had some British biscuits, jam, chocolate, and wine infused marshmallows, we’d be quite toasty. Nonetheless it was still a beautiful sight to see. On to the next stop

“I had heard this is one of the best wineries in Napa Valley, and that turned out to be absolutely true. It’s one of the most visually stunning places I’ve ever visited—rolling hills, beautiful vineyards, and incredible architecture. The tour was absolutely worth it. Nancy was fantastic: extremely entertaining, informative, and clearly very knowledgeable about the winery’s history and its wines. As for the tasting, everything was excellent, and we ended up purchasing several bottles—it was well worth it. The quality is outstanding, and I would absolutely come back again.“
