“Tastier than expected but a little bit expensive compared to other Pho places.Atmosphere is more modern and new, lots of locals eat here so it’s definitely good. The service is okay but I’d come here again. Big parking lot so easy in and out.“
“Food again always consistant. We have dined in and also taken out. Today did take out. Never usually ask for the receipt. Today I decided to ask for one. I guess they charge $0.75 extra for take out! It's not that they charge that bothered me, but the fact that they didn't SAY ANYTHING when I was ordering. Shouldn't sneak in charges without telling customers. Not even a side..BuT will still be back. Food is comfort food!Parking: It's in a plaza with lots of stores. Depending on what time of day, parking can be difficultWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant has lots of space .“
“Not gonna lie... this Vietnamese cafe serving up pho as well as some other small and special dishes came up on my radar because I saw some fellow Yelpers go to an event here. The food looked/ sounded amazing and it's not too far from where I'm working at the moment. The service here is friendly and the decor /vibe feels and looks like a modern Vietnamese restaurant or cafe. I was really tempted to order the pho here, but opted for the butterfly pea sticky rice (or Xoi Thap Cam) instead. From the pictures, the dish looked beautiful and it's something I haven't had at Vietnamese restaurants in a long time. Also, I think I've had pho a few times around that time...(it's been cold) I also ordered the Bluegrass Lemonade to wash it down. The sticky rice dish had lots of delicious flavors and textures from all the different items. Such a fun dish that's presented very well and a delicious alternative to what probably gets ordered most here (the pho). Don't get me wrong, I definitely want to come back to try their pho as well, but was so happy to try the dish that I ordered. Place is located in a tiny lot/strip mall that was pretty close to a freeway. They have their own parking, but it might get tight. I think there may be street parking close by.“
“This is a hole in the wall. The sauces this places produces is pack with flavor. These bold flavors come in different variations of heat mild is ok the hot one is spicy but enjoyable and extra hot you better be ready to guzzle water. You can taste the difference in the spices the owner Nam uses he takes pride in his work and the taste is there. No wait unlike the big name places, but their food speaks volumes. This place holds true to great food from a family business. This place has won this foodie over. Hidden Gem in Covina there are a few of these places and this is one of them. Glad to have stumbled upon it. Glad I didn't listen to the 1 bad review.“
“A bit pricey, but it's an excellent Pho restaurant. Food are really delicious ? Parking might be difficult. Tiny plaza with narrow parking spaces. But people come and go quickly... I took out 1 ⭐ for their parkings. Really hate their parking.“
“I loved this place! They forgot to put tofu in the spring rolls but no matter, they were delicious. The soup broth was a little bland. I added some soy sauce which helped. The topping of fresh mint, bean sprouts, etc. made this meal refreshing. Updated from previous review on 2023-10-24“
“Honestly best vegetarian place ever! The food is very good and the desserts are even better! The host/waiter was very friendly and even gave me a random sample of one of their desserts. Area is very clean and modern. I will definitely come here again!!“
“Came here on a busy Friday night, so there was a fair amount of waiting to get seated. Once seated you’re greeted with smiles and large menu with a ton of options to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. I came for the pho and I truly enjoyed it! It wasn’t something I’ll drive miles for, but if you’re around, it’s not a bad option.“
“Had an excellent weekend lunch experience here! Boston Lobster Seafood is the type of place that lets the food speak for itself. I love the large family dining setups, easily allowing groups of 10 or more, equipped with dinner-turntables / lazy Susan’s!I love that their lunch specials (11:30-4pm) apply on the weekends as well, and we got a steak order from that menu. However, it was clearly the lobster that won our affection, perfectly spiced and cooked, presented with endless ginger, green onions, and jalapeños. Other notable standouts include the mapo tofu and gai lan (Chinese broccoli).Would definitely recommend this place and will be back!“
“Nice local Vietnamese restaurant that I've come to a few times. Staff is a friendly and the food was quite delicious! I had some beef spring rolls and a vermicelli dish with meatballs. Both were very good and I had to bring one of the spring rolls home as it was a lot of food. Would recommend trying it out if you're craving some Vietnamese cuisine.“
“Wait for a table was fine, didn't take that long. The interior was very nice and clean. Food was yummy. Only complaint that I have is that all of the food didnt arrive at the same time. One person in my group got the pho and got it by the time most of us were almost done eating.Parking: Even though it's free parking for the lot, it's really small. I recommend parking in the street and walking over to save time.“
“Always a busy and popular restaurant. We ordered 40 rolls for a scheduled pickup. On our arrival, our food was delayed due to the busy nature of the business. I didn't complain because sometimes these things happen. The boss recognized the issue and offered me an adult beverage (I'm 55) while I waited! I happily accepted and didn't have to wait much longer. Stand-up actions from an honorable person! Thank you.“
“I've been a Banh Mi My Tho customer for like a decade now. Its been cool seeing them expand besides the Alhambra location. I came here for a quick meal and ordered a few bahn mi. About 5 minutes later, my order was ready and it was as delicious as always.“
“I love this place. I've been going since I was a little kid (that was 20+ years ago). The staff and service is always so friendly and attentive. I love their Bún Chả Giò Chay. It's my regular order! They have a solid selection of Vegan Vietnamese food and very affordable prices. If you're looking for real Vietnamese Vegan food, this is the spot!“
“This place is very easy to find with great parking across the street. Food was very delicious with reasonable prices. Portions were large and the veggies and toppings were very fresh. Great place to find while walking or even driving. I recommend to get their egg rolls and Bun Bo Hue soup noodle.“
“Wow! This small restaurant is packed of flavors! The atmosphere is inviting and charming. Our waiter was attentive, quick and efficient. The wait for food did not take long at all. I love that the menu was simple. There are rice plate, noodle and appetizers options. We had the Banh xeo. The plate came with 3 crispy mini Banh Xeo and served with a plate of fresh greens for wrapping. The noodles were bomb! The bun mam was so tasty. The broth had a hint of sweetness and a fermented fish taste. I love the pepper stuffed with Cha. Oh and the veggies that is served with the bun nam have a crunch to every bite. The pho was surprisingly good too. The broth was rich and flavorful. However, I do wish they serve the nuoc beo - onion oil. The rice plate was decent too. The flavor of the grilled meat was yummy. I would definitely come back here again! Try the bun mam!!“
“This is definitely a 7-8 out of 10. A huge shoutout for keeping prices low! The taste was good. The workers are all very friendly. The food comes out fast. If you want better Pho, you'll have to check out some neighboring places. If you happen to be in Baldwin Park, this will work.“
“It has a very nice atmosphere, clean. We ordered the number 10 + 27 and additional order of the ribs. Very good quality meat, esp the ribs fall off the bone tender. The standard combo has a lot of meat and the pho noodles retain its chewiness and does not fall apart. Broth is rich tasting. The 27 stir fried filet mignon also tastes excellent with its garlic stir fried taste.“
“Plenty of seats. Clean tables. Plenty of condiments. Decent prices. Floor is kinda dirty. Lighting is a bit dark. Non gender neutral restrooms. Semi clean. I ordered the boon bye hwei and it was surprisingly good... the noodles were perfect, plenty of meat, NOT watered down soup. My only concern is that it wasn't temperature hot. Overall, i would definitely recommend this place.“
“Today we visited the restaurant today and had an amazing experience with the patience and help from our waiter "Hiu",he recommended the restaurant'smost savory and famous dish the beef egg rolls and was nice to recommended the avacado smoothie that surprised us with the visit being our first , will definitely be coming back again !“
“Cash only. The best banh mi according to Eater and it did not disappoint. The bread is freshly baked and the ingredients are fresh. The #1 comes in a roll while the #11 is a baguette. The #1 is classic while the #11 has less bread in each bite. It would be better if they layered the ingredients better, all the greens like cilantro and jalapenos were pushed to one side. The service is fast. The atmosphere is bare bones but inviting.“
“Love this place! Best Banh Xeo around with a uniquely crunchy outer shell and the most beautiful assortment of perfectly fresh and delicious greens. Costs more, but it's definitely worth it. The atmosphere is exactly as it should be... you know you're paying for tasty, authentic food, not fancy decor. Will definitely be back!“
“My husband and I try all of the different bánh mì places in San Gabriel Valley. The sandwiches here are a great although I wouldn’t say they’re necessarily the absolute best, they’re definitely top-tier what I really liked with some of the other stuff they offered like the pork meatballs, and some of the other skewer items. It reminds me of the food I ate growing up in Thailand, and I really love the southeast Asian food it’s very authentic and taste great.“
“This place has great food and is in a great location, I was promptly greeted and offered a table upon arrival, the guy taking our order was friendly and informative about the menu, unfortunately they lost one star because the lack of cleanliness in the restroom ? and restaurant was not clean and inviting.Dietary restrictions: They offered accommodations base on your diet restrictions“
“They are really nice here. The young female cashier is very precise and the food is made with love and skill. Plus the hot chili crisp oil they sell is sooo good. The Batch X will make you cry and I love it. Looking forward to trying everything on the menu!“
“My go to spot for 7 courses of beef and baked cat fish. Here's why:- Great value for a larger group (Last visit medium catfish, 4 portions of 7 courses of beef, and a couple of beers was less than $40/pp including tip)- I always leave full and satisfied- It's usually not crazy busy and they have a good amount of tables ( Last visit walked in on a Saturday night for 7 and there was no wait)- Staff is pretty friendly- 10% off with Yelp check-in for birthday celebrations- A handful of TVs if you need to have the game on while dining- They only charge extra for vermicelli and not for extra rice paper or veggiesTips:- It's been mentioned but call ~45 mins in advanced for the baked catfish so it'll be ready for when you show up- There are three main dipping sauces; super funky fermented fish, more mild fish sauce, slightly tart tamarind sauce. You can mix to your level of desired funk but the peanuts, sambal, pickled lemon grass helps temper everything- It's super hands on food, don't be afraid to ask for help if you didn't come with an experienced diner“
“The best pho in town ! They fill up your water constantly that's a big plus for me and it's fresh cold water. The pho was perfect the taste the amount if broth and meat, I recommend you coming here if you are craving that perfect bowl of pho“
“Stumbled on this place by chance while walking in the area. The staff is very friendly. The food took a while to come out but was worth the wait. Fresh & thoughtfully prepared. We had the bún thịt nướng chả giò. I added a fried egg which was also perfect! The pork was baked perfect & the egg roll was cut to perfect portions. The veggies were very fresh. The mango smoothie was also good. We also ordered some egg rolls after. They were good. The sauce was especially great!Only gripe was the wait, but the food was very good! Hope to come again.“
“Clean takeout only in a small shopping strip. The banh xeo was really good, the sauce, nước Chấm, was actually. There prices were reasonable. Eating there is challenging because they only give you a box so spreading it out to roll it with the lettuce then dip was messy. The accompanying herbs was actually really authentic, là lộc, only the Vietnam we and Japanese would eat.Protip. Eating there is not an option even though they a few stools with wall table but it's actually meant to people waiting to pick up order.“
“What I can say about the food is that I like to follow my taste buds. My taste buds says it was very flavorful and the quality felt and tasted top notch. it was also quite plentyful. As for the service, they were very eager to serve us. We were not ignored and they were very kind. As for the atmosphere, it is a bit quiet. if that's what you like then you'll love this place. if you prefer music in the background then you may want to try elsewhere. I like this place because it wasn't noisy and it took away a lot of the anxieties from most restaurants that I experienced. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Vietnamese food and enjoys the friendly employees. Why did I give four star for flavor? I do this normally because I do believe that there's always room for improvement. Even with the best tasting food in the world. There's always room for improvement.Vegetarian options: I think there's plenty vegetarian/vegan choices.Parking: Vertical parking all around the restaurant from the street“
“Finally good banh cuon in the SGV so I don't have to drive out to Garden Grove! This little shop is such a gem and run by a grandma, a sweet old lady who doesn't understand a word I say but communicates with me through exchanged smiles and a thumbs up. The banh cuon is bouncy, not super thin, but I love the bite to it. The pork filling is so flavorful and it's a great portion size for the price. I love that the bean sprouts and cucumbers come blanched, the fried sweet potato is perfectly fried. The food and the place just feels homey. It's one of those shops I want to gatekeep all for myself but also want everyone to know about so they never close down... hahah!“
“Solid pho! My partner said the Arnold Palmer was great and I thought the Bahn Me was exactly what I expected and wanted. The fries were actually my favorite part, funny enough! Crunchy and yummy! The restaurant was pretty small but nice and clean. A nice, easy choice for Pho!Vegetarian options: Tofu and veggie options all aroundParking: In a plaza with accessible parkingKid-friendliness: Saw they had a high chair for children“
“Came with friend and friends for a family style dinner ordered 5 dishes shaking beef -tasty, huge portion size string beans - could be more in flavor, otherwise standard clams - fresh, but sauce could use slightly more flavor one of the 2 fresh fish choice of the day - same as clams* and house special lobsters - amazing, juicy lobsters, (even for the small size portion), tons of green onions - best dish* Servers are attentive and will change plates multiple times over course of dinner total people: 4 cost around: $80ish per person parking on street side* small parking lot or valet??“
“The parking structure right behind it can get pretty packed, but we have never had trouble parking there during prime dinner time. We have also never waited to be seated here, although the restaurant is quite bustling. Service is polite and very quick. If you are hungry, come here as your food comes out fast. The soup tastes light, but flavorful. Compared to other pho restaurants in the area, I feel like the broth does not rely on seasonings as much for flavor. They are also generous with the meat in the soups. The large doesn't look much larger than the medium, but it actually is. I can easily finish a medium soup, but cannot finish the large at all.The inside is clean and casual, with minimal decor. Perfect for a quick, casual meal with friends.“
“First time and decided for takeout, as there's not much room for eating. The menu was pretty big with sandwiches "Banhmi", Pho, BBQ with rice and Chowmien, so worried that the food was going to be mediocre - BUT surprise that the 3 different dishes we ordered and egg rolls was just yum. We'll be ordering again.“
“Soooooooo FREAKING DELICIOUS! I’m telling these pho restaurants that are trending doesn’t beat how amazing fresh and delicious this place is!!! Everything had different flavors and it’s not as known so you get a calm and peaceful environment. But this place should get the Recognition it deserves!“
“We stopped in 30 min before they closed. I was skeptical about the quality of the food to be ordered. However, everything turned out great and tasted fantastic, just like homemade. The servers were really patient and kind regardless of the fact that they were about to close for the day. In some other places, I would have the feeling that I am being rushed to order, to finish my meal and to pay. However, not at this place.“
“Was really impressed with this family run shop. The food is pretty simple and straight forward, very clean and done really well. Just know this isn't your standard, familiar pho restaurant. It's a duck restaurant. It's really a duck broth restaurant that also serves the boiled duck meat and traditional Asian carbs/starch accompaniments with some additional dishes. If I haven't made it clear yet, the broth is the star of the show. It is pure, it's balanced, it's clean, it's so simple it might take you a bit to really appreciate it. But most won't just come for the broth so you can choose pho noodles (really good quality with nice chew), vermicelli, glass noodles, egg noodles, congee or rice to go with the broth as well as the boiled duck meat over a slaw salad with ginger sauce. You can also get a variation of any of the aforementioned with a duck and bamboo/menma broth that's a little earthier. For non duck eaters there's chicken curry as well as a spiced pork belly with sticky rice or banh mi.The restaurant itself is very clean, bright and staff was friendly and patient. If you aren't familiar with these type of Vietnamese/Chinese dishes it might be a bit of a leap of faith, but I highly recommend them and hope they stick around for a while even if it means it's have to wait for a table.“
“Would not have stopped but that I saw, lettered neatly on the sidewalk chalkboard, "Vietnamese Crepe" , and seeing as it's not so easy to find Bánh xèo, and I like it, so I sallied forth. I was courteously welcomed and quickly seated and I ordered the Bánh xèo. It was delicious and I enjoyed it tremendously. I was most impressed with the many dishes described on the menu and I hope that I will have the opportunity to eat here a few more times.“
“I have been coming here with my family since I was little and the food never disappoints. They have a small parking lot and the restaurant can get pretty busy sometimes so I always park on the street around the corner. I got the beef ball noodle soup and it was so good. Their soup is always so good and flavorful.“
“This is a classic staple in our household both for takeout and dine-in. We more often than not take it to-go since it's close to home, and easy to pick up. The food itself is consistent and we love good pho on a chilly SoCal night. They also offer vegetarian broth for any vegetarians- just ask and they will substitute the broth. Honestly the service can be a little hit or miss depending on how big they are- but overall, is a good option for pho! Other consistent highlights: - rocket shrimp: fried whole shrimp dipped in a sweet and sour sauce - pork chop rice: whole pork chop w/ broken rice and fish sauce“
“So tasty and generous with the portions. Love the fresh veggies in the bun. (Tastier grilled pork than golden deli temple city) Nice ladies. Make sure to say thank you, they work hard to make this delicious food! ? Could use more ambience but hey the food is great.“
“My first time visiting and I was really impressed. Just waiting for my freind to arrive and smelling the wonderful aromas permeating the parking lot was enticing. We had a beef soup with pigs feet and it was delicious. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to expand their culinary tastes.“
“This is a newly opened restaurant, so the environment inside the store is very clean and the furniture looks new. There are not too many choices on the menu. The Hainanese Chicken Rice is very tasty, but the chicken is slightly less umami. The Bamboo Shoots and Chicken Soup Noodles have a sweet soup base, which is worth a try.“
“This little Vietnamese joint is a real gem. Their banh mi xiu mai is my fav - imagine soft bread hugging tasty meatballs with a burst of flavors in every bite. Plus, everything else on their menu is just as good. The vibe is cozy, the staff is friendly - it's the perfect spot for a tasty meal that hits the spot.“
“For fast food this place is really, really good! Extremely fresh. All the staff wears sneeze guards and gloves when handling the food. It’s fast HEALTHY food. Highly recommend paper rice if you’re in the area and want a quick meal. GF options too. The lychee lemonade is tasty. ?“
“Still scratching my noodles itch, I found my self at Quan Nem for Vietnamese pho. For the first time I saw an option for the fresh noodles. I opted for fresh and was glad I did. Fresh noodles are an extra tasty feature that goes with the very flavorful broth. I opted forThe spicy beef and oxtail soup. The fresh noodles were yummy and the bowl is huge. Vietnamese coffee and shrimp spring rolls rounded out my meal. Although a bit pricier than other pho shops, again huge portions.Yum“
“Yummy pho and spring rolls! Came here after a late class and we are very grateful for such kind and quick service. The children's drawings on the walls gave me nonstalgia to drawing in my youth and it is evident the store owners care about their customers. Made my night, thank you :)Parking: Street Parking“
“Solid Banh Mi Sandwiches. I recommend the bbq pork with extra mayo. I love the simplicity of this place. Coffee is solid especially if you like it strong like me. Service was slow but I had to be because of the afternoon rush on a weekend. Good spot for quick bite and then check out the bookstore across the street.“
“We always order the crispy egg rolls, shrimp spring rolls and pho with brisket and filet mignon. The peanut sauce is the perfect compliment to the spring rolls as is the sweet sauce to the egg rolls. The pho, with the added vegetables, is so filling and relaxing. This has been a family favorite for about 5 years now.“
