“We have eaten at Steve’s Steakhouse the last 2 nights. We brought our fresh fish catch last night and they cooked it 3 different ways. All excellent! Tonight we came back for Ribeyes and Baked Potatoes!!! Logan Rehm Says So Darn Good!!!!”

“Anyone who comes to Avalon knows what luau Larry's is. You can feel it and you can hear it from far away. The music emanating from the bar, the club reveling partygoers and vacationers alike. All love this place and I learned that their food is awesome too! Both the swordfish burgers and lobster roll are both great. Specifically recommend the lobster roll
The drinks were good but more sweet than boozy if that's what you prefer.

“We stopped in for a day trip I read this was the place to go according to the locals online and man it didn’t disappoint!! Alex was our main bartender he was awesome! The locals were all so kind we did the teriyaki beef it was sooo good! Drinks were on point the atmosphere and workers were all so inviting! We look forward to a trip back !”

“Seriously thank god for this ice cream. I had an inedible ice cream scoop from Scoops Creamery down the street so I had to come to Sailors for a redo. In fact, I came here twice during my weekend in Catalina. The ice cream has amazing flavor and creamy texture. I tried the black cherry and butter pecan and loved both! Note they only offer you 1 or 2 samples depending on the day. The first day they allowed me 2 samples and the second day they allowed me 1 sample which is weird. If you’re going to offer samples, be consistent with how many.”

“Some of the best food I have ever had. Clam chowder was creamy and good. Da bomb shrimp had great flavor and was cooked perfect. My wife commented that the sea bass was some of the best fish she had ever had. Our server was very personable and welcoming. Talked a bit and shared his recommendations for each dish to make it the best possible. This play is way better for quality and price than many of the other options on the island!”

After the third-party member picked up the order and did not deliver for almost three hours, I requested a refund for the melted ice cream which I received promptly. “Good food, good service. Went here because the lines were very long at other places and we just wanted a quick bite for breakfast. Prices were similar to mainland and reasonable. My husband an I agree that the food was very good, much better than expected. Skip the lines and come here!!”

“This place is great for someone wrapping up the TCT or even for someone just section hiking/camping for a few days.

I love to grab breakfast here on the morning I plan to go back on the ferry.

This past trip I had chicken tenders when we came in as a day 0 type of thing and on our way out I had the e-bay (everything BEC bagel). I remember the service being really slow the last time we were on the island, with just 1 person working the register and 1 person in the kitchen, but this time they had at least double that and the service was quick, which was preferable.

It's a little pricey but everything in two harbors is.”

“Topside on Catalina Island was one of the highlights of our trip! After exploring Avalon, we stopped in for lunch and couldn’t have picked a better spot.

The fish tacos were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor, perfectly cooked and topped with just the right balance of ingredients. The Philly cheesesteak was equally impressive, loaded with tender steak, gooey melted cheese, and served on a perfectly toasted roll. Every bite was outstanding.

What really made the experience special was the relaxed island atmosphere and the beautiful setting. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home while we enjoyed a great meal.

If you’re visiting Catalina Island, Topside is a must-visit. Great food, excellent service, and an unbeatable island vibe make this a place we’ll definitely return to on our next trip. Highly recommend the fish tacos and the Philly cheesesteak!”
