“Love that this is in Bell gardens! I no longer have to travel for good pho! I tried the spicy beef pho -so good, however I think next time I’ll get the regular beef pho, so I can control the flavors a bit more. I also got the milk tea. The flavor was great and not too sweet which Is great given that some places over due it with the sweetener. Women who helped was friendly with a lovely smile. I used the drive thru this time next time I’ll give sitting in a go.“

“Not a big fan of sitting on the side of street where people walk by and you intake that fumes coming from all these traffic. Got to sit inside by the bar, the food here is okay, but a bit pricey for what it's worth. Been to many affordable to very expensive sushi places in the U.S. and in Asia, this place is more IG/social media friendly picturesque place than an actual sushi/sashimi place. Not much nigiri/sashimi choices. Not a big fan of places that sell pre-made canned alcohol with an extreme markup.“

“Both dishes were so good! I really liked the way they cooked the Bento- Shio Koji Marinated Norwegian Mackerel. The side dish Side- Chicken Karaage (Mild or Spicy)- had just the right amount of spice (l ordered mild). Overall, this will definitely be my go-to lunch spot now! (Doordash Pickup)“

“NIKU X delivers an impressive seafood & A5 wagyu steak buffet. The quality of the meats and seafood is top notch. The wagyu is tender and rich, and the seafood bar has good variety. The decor is stylish and the service attentive.

A few drawbacks: some items are a bit slow to be replenished, and the price is steep but for a special occasion it’s worth it.“

“We ordered the Dine LA omakase sushi lunch which consisted of 3-course appetizer (jelly fish, steamed veggies (edamame, carrot and clam), okra, 10-course sushi, Chawanmushi (Japanese egg custard), miso clam soup and matcha mousse dessert. Presentation was exquisite and the sushi was of the highest quality. This was our second time to Eigikutei and we look forward to many more dining experiences at this very fine and peaceful establishment.“

“Te Isshoku Sushi is probably one of the only reasons I look forward to going into my office now that I am required to be in my office. Finding this gem has been a game changer.

The sushi is amazing quality. It is always fresh and large portions.

Besides the sushi being excellent, the real star is Lisa. After 1 order Lisa will remember you and little things you like and don’t like. Lisa’s service is impeccable and she will always have a big smile to greet you and make you laugh.

“Everything was perfect, fave drink was lychee martini and in the morning strawberry matcha. For dinner we loved the rib eye, ceviche, tuna tartar and chicken the most. The Caesar salad was unique and I really enjoyed it. Miso eggplant also great! While they may not offer as many fish varieties as other places, the ones they do have are all fresh and satisfying.

For a small, mom-and-pop restaurant, I'm glad there's a place like this close to home and affordable. The service is good. I've visited many times and the owner is a man of few words. The other staff have been nice as well.

“I came here to check out their breakfast and let me tell you I was impressed. They had this toast with avocado, onions and tomatoes 10 out of 10 I even tried their breakfast udon and the broth was so delicious. I even got into their onigiri and I tried their California their crunch the tuna and the salmon, and they were all so flavorful. But their yogurt Matcha was my favorite as well as their torch spam musubi so so good definitely you’re gonna wanna come check out for their breakfast. It is such a cute little mom and pop shop. It’s like a hidden gem very friendly very clean. I’m definitely coming here to have breakfast and their actual lunch and dinner. “This restauraunt serves really yummy salmon handrolls and custom poke bowls. The salmon and tuna taste pretty fresh, they don’t have any weird fishy taste. They offer a variety of toppings to choose from as well. However, the amount of sauce added can be a little overpowering sometimes. I’d suggest putting a note/request to add a little less! And even though it slightly adds to the price, I would also recommend checking off “Extra Salmon” when ordering, because without the additional it feels like there is not enough.

The service is good, but it can take quite a bit of time waiting for orders to finish in person because there aren’t too many people behind the counter. I think best way to order is for pick up or delivery.“

“The sushi here is solid. You get lots of pieces and thicker pieces of fish for a good price. My favorite roll was the sunset roll!

My family and I also ordered the tempura ice cream for dessert. It wasn’t the best tempura ice cream we’ve ever had. It could have had a crispier exterior and the ice cream didn’t have a strong matcha flavor.“

“Chinchikurin was my first ever Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. I've had the Osaka version in Japan many years ago, but haven't had okonomiyaki of any kind in the US since. So this experience was definitely fun. The food was very tasty and well built. I ordered the Loaded Kaisen, which was the seafood okonomiyaki as part of the 11-layer savory pancake. It was very filling. After the cooks make the okonomiyaki at the main teppan grill, you eat it at your own personal grill at your table, which keeps your order nice and warm. Be sure to put a lot of the mayo and otafuku sauce atop it to make the flavor even bolder and more exciting. If you've never had okonomiyaki before, Chinchikurin is a great place to start. There are very few of these kinds of restaurants in LA, so Chinchikurin is a very unique Japanese cuisine in Little Tokyo worth scoping out. “Came here after a Dodger game and was very happy with the food, service, and quiet atmosphere. All the food was delicious and came out quick. It was exactly what we needed.

Staff informed us right away there is no bathroom in the restaurant but directed us to the nearest one if needed.“

“We were just passing through and looking for something close to our hotel, and so happy we found this spot! Because it was our first time, we got complimentary chili - definitely see why it’s 7 times award winning! Very flavorful and just the right amount of spice. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, and very accommodating to make sure our order is to our liking. We had 2 bento boxes, Kaula pork and bbq pork. The portion sizes were perfect and the meat was very flavorful. The sides of macaroni and cucumber salad were just as good. We also had one of their many specials of the day, fish tacos, which were incredibly fresh and simple, exactly what I want for fish tacos. Next time we’re visiting LA, we’ll be sure to be back!“

“Cute homey Japanese vibes. It’s a small restaurant so I can see there’d be a wait on busy days. Luckily we only had to wait about 5 min. The menu is straightforward. Comfort Japanese dishes. Service was great, they’re super nice and very attentive!

The tempura was good, sauce was great too. Katsu was fried perfectly, sauce was tangy and fantastic, just wish the pork was more moist/tender. Karaage was just okay, probably wouldn’t order it again, most of the flavor came from the sauce. My dad loved his eel bowl set, flavored and cooked well. My katsudon bowl was delicious, again katsu was a little dry, togarashi is a must with this bowl. And the cold soba noodles were great, the sauce dip was perfectly seasoned and noodles were perfect texture, very refreshing to eat.

“Came to this restaurant for the first time very last minute, almost 3 minutes from their closing kitchen time to order. The customer service of our waitress was absolutely incredible. We did make her work and we were very demanding not once. Did she make any mistakes and she tried very hard. The food was absolutely incredible. This is the best sushi I’ve had in my life and trust me. I’ve been to top notch places all around the world. “I'm town for LA ComicCon and did my usual research to scope out what's around and amongst the many sushi places near LA Live downtown, the reviews drew me to a small, unassuming hole-in-the-wall place. It did not disappoint. I add my voice to those singing their praises. The place is small but the food is amazing. I was able to spend a few minutes chatting with the owners and they are wonderful people who you can immediately appreciate how much they are personally invested providing an amazing sushi meal and time permitting chat with you. Something we don't get enough these days. If you're into sushi and find yourself in downtown LA, this is a MUST visit location.“
