“Finding 715 Sushi already feels like part of the experience. You wait outside a gated wall, slightly unsure if you’re in the right place.

The omakase itself is incredibly. Every piece was fresh out and balanced. What stood out to me most was the rice, seasoned with a blend of soy sauce and rice vinegar rather than just vinegar alone. It gave the nigiri a more savory backbone. Nothing tasted rushed or careless; each bite felt deliberate.
The dish I haven’t stopped thinking about was the chestnut egg dish (likely kuri tamago). It was absolutely stunning! Soft, subtly sweet, and nutty. The flavor balance was beautiful and unexpected, and it ended up being the most memorable bite of the night for me.

Service was attentive when it came to refilling drinks and tea. The staffs were polite and accommodating. This experience was very thoughtful, refined, and well worth the drive.“

“Unsure initially but after reading reviews convince to visit and after ordering fully engulfed! I had the Red Dragon Roll, loved it! My son had the crunchy roll. And then I tried the beef bowl. Delicious. Vert flavorful. And the best part about this spot is that it’s not in the crowed Dtla area. It’s on Cesar Chavez and with plenty of street meter parking. Very manageable. I will be back.“

Only thing I think they could work on is the space— tables set between breaks in the booth, air conditioning that turns the food cold quickly, blindingly bright neon lights. “I recently visited this sushi spot and ordered the yellowtail sashimi, albacore sashimi (the one topped with fried onions), edamame, spicy tuna, sticky rice, a cucumber roll, and the Bulgogi fries. Everything was delicious and came out quickly.

The staff was attentive in the best way—checking in at the right moments and making sure I had everything I needed without ever feeling intrusive. Great service and great food.

“To be honest, we weren't sure about a Sushi place in Norwalk but this place was AMAZING. Everything was top notch. There was a line when we got there, so that was a positive sign. “I have been coming to this place for a while. Fair price, but the food needs an upgrade, specially the california rolls. Small portions and very little wasabi and ginger.
They should have a policy for customers to bring earphones for those who want to be on their phone playing loud videos and for parents who have no control of their children and they have to use an iPad or a phone playing very loud videos to entertain the child. It is very annoying. It looks that there are lots of people with no common nor respect for each other.“

“Sashimi: Walk in and walk straight to the back if you’re looking for sashimi. Grab a ticket! They’ll call the number and then you’ll get to pick the sashimi you want. Wait till they cut it and come back when they call your number. About 5-10 minutes! Once your ticket number is called, grab the cut sashimi and you’re ready for checkout (front).

Rolls: If you’re looking for rolls, walk in to the left side (coolers). Theres a line sometimes so don’t cut in line if you see people wrapped around the corner for the rolls!

Interior: it’s packed with Japanese condiments/food/snacks! Price of these are higher but I do believe most of them come from Japan.

Price: it’s reasonable and fresh! Highly recommend if you have party to serve.

Condiments for your fish: they give soy sauce/ chopstick/ice if needed at the checkout. Wasabi is sold separately at the coolers if needed but wasabi is also included inside your sashimi cut containers.

“Tried Trave Sushi and everything was so fresh and delicious. We ordered rolls and they were honestly really good. great quality and flavor. We came about an hour before closing and they still sat us right away with no attitude which I really appreciated.

Customer service was great too we spoke with Frank, super friendly and made the experience even better. The spot is very takeout friendly but still comfortable if you dine in.

I also loved that they have options for people who don’t like fish, like veggie rolls and beef rolls. We got the King Kong roll and it was huge and sooo good.

“I have been going to Mamma's sushi for years. Before the Shabu Shabu next door. I have always enjoyed the food, service and the atmosphere. It seems like they get better in each category over the years. Recently, I have noticed that while other places have made Sushi almost unaffordable, Mamma's sushi saves the day with all their deals.
