And it was the best burrito I have ever had ... ever. The meat was so tender and flavorful. I love that it had vegetables so I could pretend it was healthy. I don't live in the area but every time I am in Long Beach, I plan to stop by.“

“Love Gangnam Kimbob so much. Very laid back atmosphere. Service is always hospitable and upbeat. Food options are plentiful and delicious. You also get a lot for your dollar here imo. The kimbop is very filling and always leaves me feeling good about my choice to eat out given the portion of veggies contained within. I usually cycle between the tonkatsu, tempura shrimp, ssam and spicy ssam kimbops, while my wife loves to order their shin ramyun. They also have some interesting combos for lunch and dinner I’ve yet to try, but come with a variety of food that seem like a great option when you don’t only crave one thing. I can’t recommend this place enough.

“My wife and I aren't Korean but we've tried quite a few restaurants in our years living in socal. Overall a very solid place. I got #5 the beef rice soup and it was pleasantly rich with a touch of spice. Sides were excellent and fresh. If we lived in LA and not SD, I'd probably make this a regular place for a cheap good soup noodle“

“This is THE spot for gamja tang in the OC. The soup base here is spot on. It's just so savory and smooth and flavorful. The steamed pork cabbage wraps are to die for. And our family's favorite dish is their potatoe pancakes! It's one off the most delicious thing you'll ever eat! I love that the had Sunkist grape soda today, which was the cherry on top!“

I was hungry and I was going to wait til I got home but I decided to get the chicken bowl because I saw it was 9 bucks. I didn’t expect much as I took it to my truck and man was I blown away. The flavor of the chicken was so delicious and the amount of ingredients they put into the bowl is unbelievable. It had green beans pineapple carrot slices cabbage and some other vegetables. I was amazed for how much food they gave me for the plate only being 9 bucks and they put a lot of chicken in there which was a big plus. I didn’t have to dig around for any chicken.That’s why I’m writing this review, hopefully it helps anyone thinking coming to eat here. Oh and I also had really dirty hands and the lady at the cash register which I believe was part owner, gave me some wipes and was really nice. I’m pretty sure their other dishes are great too. I didn’t take a picture of my food because I was really hungry but it’s worth each penny I wasted.“

“Mhat Korean Restaurant may be a small spot, but it delivers authentic Korean flavors and a really satisfying meal.

We ordered the Dak Galbi (Stir-fried Spicy Chicken) with a side of mozzarella cheese, along with an order of fried dumplings. The dak galbi was packed with flavor, and we appreciated being able to adjust the spice level to something a little milder. Adding the mozzarella was definitely the right call, it melted into the spicy chicken, making the dish even richer and creamier while balancing the heat beautifully. The fried dumplings were crispy, flavorful, and made a great side.

The best part of the meal was saving room for the fried rice at the end. They cooked it right in the leftover dak galbi sauce, soaking up all of the rich, spicy flavors. It’s definitely the way to finish the meal and something I highly recommend ordering.

The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but the food is authentic, the portions are satisfying, and everything came together for a great dining experience. If you’re craving dak galbi, this place is well worth checking out.“

“I visited a Korean sushi place in Buena Park, CA, and tried their assorted sashimi combo, it was incredibly generous and offered excellent value. The combo featured several types of fish, including tuna, salmon, halibut, and two white-fleshed varieties perfect for dipping in Korean gochujang sauce. The dish was served with crisp perilla leaves and an assortment of sides. To top it off, I enjoyed a delicious fish roe egg soup (al tang) and a bomb abalone porridge.

Also, the servers were incredibly sweet and attentive, which only enhanced the dining experience. Plus, if you're in the mood for drinks, they offer alcohol, making it a fun spot to join friends for a night out (although I didn't partake).

Overall, I’d rate this place a solid 10/10 for its food quality, service, and ambiance.

It feels like a secret because it’s as cozy and comforting as grandma’s house. This is a spot where everyone goes to for Sundubu (Korean Spicy Tofu Soup served boiling hot), or if they want Naengmyeon (Korean Buckwheat Noodles in a icy tangy broth) on hot summer day, or Bibimbap (Stone-pot Korean mixed rice filled with vegetables and meat with a spicy gochujang sauce and sesame oil)—just something comforting, and what they’re used to. The restaurant has always been the same with great quality food and great service. Maria's restaurant is a gem in the community and will hopefully be there for many more generations.
