He said I come here everyday and get my deliciousness and at 4 pm I get my soup.I also have to give high praise to the man behind the counter as he has such a good vibe. While he is helping his customer he also greets the next one by saying; I see you and I will be with you soon. Great vibe he has and very polite. Wow what a customer service! The place also looks so clean due to the employees. And yes I always come back to this bakery!“

“During my visit to San Francisco a while ago, I had the pleasure of dining at this renowned restaurant nestled in the iconic Fisherman's Wharf area. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning view of the water.Upon the recommendation of locals, we couldn't resist trying Scoma's famous clam chowder, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Creamy, flavorful, and brimming with fresh clams, it was a delightful introduction for my husband, who had never tasted clam chowder before. In addition to the clam chowder, we also indulged in Scoma's Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, and it exceeded our expectations. Packed with tender, thinly sliced beef and melted cheese, sandwiched between perfectly toasted bread, it was a comforting and satisfying choice. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and breathtaking scenery made our visit to Scoma's truly unforgettable.Whether you're a local or a visitor to San Francisco, I highly recommend dining at Scoma's. “I’m up at 4 am, no clue why and I’m hungry. I scroll through photos of my recent trip to Italy and get hungrier. Then I randomly recall this amazing ragu I had at AltoVino. Such is the rabbit hole of my brain today.I first stumbled upon this place a few years back when my gf and I were randomly walking down this street after exploring Chinatown. Looked good, half empty, so we sat down outside for what was an amazing meal. I recall thinking “holy s***, what is this place and why is it here and why is it so good and why is it…. So good?” Since then we’ve been a few times more, and each time was equally amazing. For me what I find particularly fascinating about this place is its own unique balance across its often refreshed menu. It’s an intelligently restrained yet creative balance of tradition and new “California” flair. One dish may stick rather close to a traditional Amatriciana while another consists of an intriguing mixture of ingredients that just simply makes sense once tasted. There’s something for everyone and everything is excellent. It speaks to the experience and refined palate of the owners. All paired with a fantastic wine menu, your meals will be memorable here each time.I’ve recommended this place to anyone that has asked me, “what are some top places to eat in SF?” And I swear on baby Jesus that AltoVino has come out of my mouth within the first 3 places I mention, each time. And to this day, well I suppose to this late morning - I still don’t know why this place isn’t booked out every single evening. It’s bizarre. So ignore reviews that say “we weren’t satisfied because we were still hungry afterwards.” Which, is one of the dumbest reasons for mediocre reviews because, what, a restaurant is supposed to figure out or cater to your appetite? Ignore reviews that say “oh this place wasn’t authentic.” Hmm what sort of authentic were you looking for? What is authentic at the end of day?Because if authentic is a menu honoring its ingredients, staying true to the local spirit while paying generous and fantastic homage to the cuisine’s roots, then this is one such place.Ok back to sleep.“

This is a minor complaint because our waitress was really nice. However, I will say that a gentleman was a little ornery about where to seat us. We arrived at 4:00 P.M. to an empty restaurant, and he wouldn't seat us further away from the door, where we wanted to sit because it was cold. He said that they were saving the seats for the big crowds that they expected. However, by the time we left the tables we would have desired were filled with groups of two or four. They turned off the fans, so we were comfortable, but his attitude got us off to a bad start. The rest of the visit was great, and we would recommend this restaurant and would return.“

The chicken thigh was really juicy and tasty and the sandwich is large! Bigger than expected for sure. Have to get it with the egg.The chicken & waffle is 4 star mainly due to the fact the chicken provided here is tiny. The waffle flavor is great and so is the matcha butter & syrup. The breading and chicken taste great. We sat outdoors and felt like we got minimal service. The host was the one who took our order and we had to ask. They made us feel like we were a bothersome by asking too. They didn’t come by regularly for refills. “I love Outerlands, it's a beautiful, small and cozy space and at dinner time it is lit just right. We were a large group seated by the window, and the service was truly impeccable. The String Theory & River Crossing cocktails are two of the best drinks I've ever had, anywhere. They make that aperitivo rossa themselves, OMG. Balanced perfection and, oh, just SO GOOD! Outstanding mixology. The starters were great (esp the kohlrabi salad--GET IT!), but a bunch of us had the chicken as our main and it was sadly disappointing. It might seem extreme to give three stars for food based primarily on the chicken alone, but I do feel that chicken is such a foundational/cornerstone dish for a restaurant, the chef should feel compelled to put out the best possible version they can. It was dry, the skin wasn't crisp enough, and it was accompanied by a crouton, chicory, and fennel salad that was very tart and one dimensional, totally missing balance (I think it needed some currants or golden raisins--SOME spec of sweetness to offset the VERY bitter chicories and the lemon vinaigrette). All five of us who ordered the chicken left half the food on our plate--and we're hearty guys who love to eat. Please, take a critical look at this dish. Your customers are loyal and we love you and want you to succeed. BTW, great date night ambiance!“

The Brazilian cream cheese is so good with the salmon! The coffee with milk didn't need sugar, it's just so refreshing on its own.I tried a small bite of the Veggie omelet, and the tapioca crepe is so good, and the omelet is even better.Highly recommended at the fisherman's wharf, with a order by number service, in a good location, I'm gonna say you have to try it here!Vegetarian options: You can get vegetarian options that are clearly marked. Pretty sure you can make minor substitutions, but you'll have to ask!“

“Gratta Wines is a neighborhood and personal favorite. There is a lovely and inviting environment that is cultivated by the owners, staff and the community of regulars that come in. The wine is top notch, it's always on our list of gifts, as are the olive oil and vinegars they have bottled. The food is fantastic - chicken parm, meatballs and their French bread pizza are my go-tos. A very special place, so happy to have found it when we moved to the neighborhood!“

“Located in the Presidio, Dalida has THE BEST pita bread ever! Trust me, you'll want to order an extra to enjoy with the hummus that comes with the dish "breaking bread". Dalida expertly cooks their lamb, I highly recommend ordering the lamb shoulder. Another dish that I also enjoyed was the octopus, which is plated artfully. One dish that didn't meet my expectations was the chicken. I was hard to cut and wasn't cooked throughly. Our waitress was super gracious and took the chicken back and had the kitchen fire up a new one, which was also just meh. Give this place a try, I'd just not order the chicken. Parking is fairly easy and there's outdoor dining for those rare non freezing cold SF days.“

“The last time I ate at Plow was 7 years ago, and their food still endures today! It's nice that they now offer outdoor seating to handle the volume due to operating in a very small space. I ordered the fried egg on brioche toast, which is a delight. Its clever how they add frisee salad mix that sits in between the fried egg and brioche toast. It has the right acidity to amalgamate the buttery brioche, fried egg, saltiness from the prosciutto, and the gruyere cheese. The chili flakes add the right amount of heat and doesn't overpower. The plow potatoes are absolutely bangers! Salt, naturally sweet potatoes, rosmary, smashed and baked! Yes, please! If you're looking for a hidden gem away from the busyness of downtown, yet have to wait in line and don't mind sitting extremely close to others. Yet want to impress your date, friend, or international buddy with a good breakfast, look no further.“

“Nestled in the heart of San Francisco, this coffee shop offers a haven for coffee aficionados and food enthusiasts alike. My recent visit left me impressed with its delightful array of coffee and quick bite options, coupled with its inviting ambiance.Stepping into the coffee shop, I was immediately drawn to its charming decor, which added to the overall appeal of the space. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee permeated the air, setting the stage for a memorable experience. However, my only disappointment arose when I opted for the affogato as a "for here" option, only to find it served in a to-go cup. While this was a minor inconvenience, it detracted from the otherwise pleasant experience.Furthermore, I noticed that the tables were not adequately cleaned, which was unexpected for a coffee shop of this caliber. Despite this oversight, the quality of the coffee and food options compensated for the minor shortcomings. With a few improvements in service, it has the potential to become a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike.“

“This place is the real deal- it's super authentic Burmese food!! My friends and I used to live in Yangon, and now we live in SF/Oakland, and we were missing Burmese food when we saw that Burmese Kitchen had opened up in the Inner Richmond. It is by far the most legit Burmese food we've had in the Bay Area! They make actual tea leaf salad with no romaine or kale shoved in! They have all our favorite noodle dishes (including a great nan ji thoke)! And they even made a special off-menu dish for us that we requested, because I said I hadn't had Burmese tomato salad in a long time (kayan chin thi thoke). We will definitely be back! ကျေးဇူးတင်ပါသည်, ayan pyaw tal!“

“I tried the Waffle Fries with Mick Sauce and the Carzle Sando at Deli Board, and let me tell you, it was a taste sensation! The Carzle Sando is loaded with Romanian pastrami, brisket, provolone, cherry peppers, pickles, cole slaw, and Board sauce, all snugly nestled in a garlic French roll. The Romanian pastrami was especially savory and mouthwatering.Although it leans towards the pricier side, the quality and taste justify every penny spent. The waffle fries were crispy perfection, adding a fantastic crunch to the meal. And here's a sweet bonus - there's a cozy little park just across the store, perfect for enjoying your meal in a relaxed setting.“

“I came here on a Tuesday night when the restaurant opened at 5. I recommend making a reservation because the restaurant filled up quickly at 6 and there is not a lot of tables. Very nice interior with Thai music playing in the background. My partner and I got the chef selection set. I think this is the most worth because it offers a lot of variety with meats, seafood, and vegetables. Everything was fresh and I especially loved the meats because it was so tender! The sauces they offered took the food to another level. You should absolutely try all of them; my favorite was the tamarind sauce. Highly recommend ordering the garlic fried rice as your side too. Since it is hotpot and bbq, the waitress recommended us that we cook the meat over the charcoal and the veggies be cooked in the broth. However, I thought cooking some of the meats in the broth made it more flavorful. The broth is a light pork based broth. Overall a delicious and unique experience because this is my first time trying Thai bbq/hotpot. Service was terrific as well!“
