“This place makes the absolute BEST Fougasse! It is olive-y the duck fat it’s made with makes it, crisp, light, and perfectly moist. The crusty outside is lightly salted to perfection. Their pastries are also exquisite, I haven’t had anything I didn’t like, but I ALWAYS come for the Fougasse! Best to get there early when they are nice and fresh and warm and before they sell out!“

It was delicious, technically perfect, lots of butter with a little tang (possibly from a sourdough element that the person there told me about). I have tried their cakes which have a lot of flavor and know-how. I had a cardamom financier I believe; it was great.“

“The cutest little coffee shop attached to the Claremont. The service was impeccable. Attentive, kind, friendly, and warm. The drinks were delicious. Plenty of little snacks for hungry mouths. Games for playing. My wife would get a soy cappuccino in a ceramic mug every morning. I'd get a hot tea with honey, and a chai with almond milk later. Prices were reasonable compared to how much shops nowadays. Excellent shop! Highly recommended!!“

I was looking for a sit-down kind of place so I moved on I’m figuring I’ll be back, but wanted folks to know about this in case like me you were looking for a different dining experience. “I bought a bread machine back in the day and tried to make a bread that was as nutritional. Epic fail! No preservatives, organic whole wheat is the real deal. I have to keep it in the freezer to prevent mold, but the flavor toasted is still outstanding. What a treasure hidden in the East Bay of San Francisco.“

“Lovely place- would come back and recommend! Good spot to read or work with plenty of outlets, free wifi, open bathroom, and table space upstairs and downstairs. I got the cheese/green onion scone and a warm date latte and enjoyed both. Service was great and atmosphere was calm & relaxing. Came in on a Tuesday from 12:45-2:45pm and was very quiet and not very busy. I essentially had the whole upstairs table to myself for a couple hours.
Note: it seems like oatmilk substitute costs an extra 75 cents.“

Tonight I put in a phone order, as I have many times and the order was taken carelessly and messed up (Baja fish taco, not fish taco), so when I got home, I had to drive back up and have the meal remade, and then it was just not good. Tortillas were weirdly dry and the fish was overcooked (like, fried to the color of coffee grounds). A great neighborhood place on Fridays, will probably skip it on Mondays.“

Stating that law enforcement was not allowed if they don’t have a warrant. Well I support law enforcement and if they aren’t allowed to dine here then I won’t be back either. They probably still have the same caloric intake, except these are more akin to actual cookies rather than cake. It is better to get something like a cookie sandwich since buying the cookie itself lacks novelty, but you still pay for the price of something novel like that at Crumbl. My only complaint about this place's service is quite slow for something as simple as cookies. However, the place is never dirty, which makes waiting for cookies more palpable.“
