“I used to live in Palm Desert & would go to this place whenever I could. The spicy Szechuan beef is the best dish I've tried at any Chinese restaurant anywhere. My daughter loved the barbeque pork bao. We haven't been able to find any other restaurants that do these dishes as well as Da Chef. I keep ordering Szechuan beef at every Chinese restaurant I visit & I'm disappointed every time, because they're never anywhere near as good. I cannot get that beef out of my mind ?“

“We really enjoyed our lunch here.
The food was excellent and was served quickly. Service was good and friendly.
We especially liked that there were multiple vegetarian options on the menu. They had indoor and outdoor seating available.
Beer and wine are available.
We will definitely return here sometime and we will recommend it to our friends.

“We were visiting from out of state. They were kind enough to accommodate us to make a dish ( shrimp tacos instead of mahi-mahi) that wasn't on the menu currently.Only complaint, It was a little bit loud/ echoey We had a party of eight and it was hard to hear the far end of the table.“

We wanted to try a Coachella Valley favorite- the date shake.
We came across Lappert’s and decided to give them a try.
The store has a fun vibe to it. The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful. It looks like they have a very broad and creative menu, and can make just about anything that one could imagine. My husband ordered the date shake and I opted for the small cup with 2 generous scoops.
The standard cookies and cream was probably the best version I have ever had. It appears as they make all of their ice cream themselves.
For my other scoop I tried the Navels and ganach. What I really liked was that it was an orange ice cream and not a sorbet.
It tasted like one of the boxed chocolate flavors.
I would say the real winner here was the date shake. It has a very unique flavor, but not too strong. They used date ice cream and vanilla ice cream.
I would definitely recommend Lappert’s!!“

People who know me are aware 1) I don't wait in long lines for food and 2) Parking must be survivable. For my friend's birthday I wanted to surprise her with some great items she would not have time to buy for herself. I was thrilled to step into one of the sweetest, cleanest and most attractive bake shops ever. The young man at the counter was so great and helped with my questions. Did I only buy a cupcake for my friend, you ask? No, I made sure to buy extra items to bring home and do "quality control" if you know what I mean. Haven't you ever bought a big bag of treats before, taking only a portion out for the recipient? Have you not placed the most beautiful cupcakes into the fridge and looked forward to having fun later on? But not too long in the future? You have to visit and check out this assortment. Cupcakes are frosted while you're there. Only fresh ingredients we all want to see are used for these sweets, too. There were choices galore- And Happy Birthday cookies!! Of course I got one! I gave it with the cupcake. (I'm not a monster.) This beautiful hidden gem creates gluten-free, keto, and vegan sweets. You will swoon at the flavors on the labels here. I have no idea how I left the shop without two big bags but I carefully got my one big bag home instead of dipping my hand in while driving. I cannot drive by now without whispering "Best cupcake ever" and bowing my head, smiling.“

“This was the best Peruvian food hands down made by Peruvians so the taste was authentic with authentic ingredients. My wife and I met the chef and she’s so passionate about her food and was very friendly. Think it may have been family working there every one was so polite and friendly engaged in conversation about Peru. My wife and I had the lomo saltado and I had to get the ceviche con chicharron it was absolutely delicious. We usually make stops throughout the places we visit to try the Peruvian food and this is it. The ceviche was fresh and had all the authentic ingredients it’s like if we were sitting in Peru eating. This is going to be our go to spot when visiting the area.“

“Stopped at Shields today. We had breakfast, followed by a walk around the gardens. So many trees had fruit on them, just going to waste. Signs all over saying "don't pick the fruit." Instead of letting the fruit rot on the trees, why not pick the fruit to sell or even donate to a food pantry? I was saddened seeing all the fruit going to waste.“

“We were looking for some tasty breakfast at lunchtime and we found this place on Google with really high reviews so we decided to give it a try. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, close at 2, fyi.

When we walked in it gave off the old school diner vibe which we like! We were greeted right away and let them know we wanted take out. We sat at the bar and chatted with them while deciding what to order. Such friendly and accommodating staff! We are staying in a hotel so they made sure to provide us with all of the condiments and things we needed to take our meal back.

I ordered the Monte Cristo and it was divine! It was our favorite out of everything because it was packed with flavor and they were these cute little mini sandwich bites we could all share. My parents got the eggs and hash browns and really enjoyed a nice, simple home cooked meal. My daughter got the grilled cheese and fries and she thought the cheese was a bit too much, but otherwise she really enjoyed it.

They also had pies in a pie display and these awesome looking cinnamon rolls. We visit the desert often and will be adding this place to our regular rotation! Family friendly, lots of food options at an affordable price and free parking! We will take it! Check it out next time you are in Palm Desert!“

Senior Gonzalez and the family was very friendly and welcoming and quickly made room for all 19 of us. The entire staff team was friendly with us and made sure we had everything we needed! Also it was clear his customers were repeat and he gave each attention.

We were a larger party, total of 19 of us including children, which meant Mr Gonzales had to act quickly to accommodate seating but made it work in great time!

The food?……there was nothing left!!! From the chips and salsa, guacamole, carne asada tacos, Al pastor tacos, quesadillas, fajitas, tortas, enchiladas….all very delicious and even the pickiest eaters ate everything!

The few people in our group said they were glad we decided to stay!!!!

“Went for my mom’s Birthday on the 8th. Super nice staff, I reserved a seat for inside but they tried to move us outside on the patio. I would’ve, if it weren’t so hot. They let us sit inside the bar which was nice. The manager (I assume) was super nice and the hostess was very welcoming.

Also whoever the bartender who was working on the 8th at 7ish is a super cool dude. Food was out very fast and delicious.“
