“I used to live in Palm Desert & would go to this place whenever I could. The spicy Szechuan beef is the best dish I've tried at any Chinese restaurant anywhere. My daughter loved the barbeque pork bao. We haven't been able to find any other restaurants that do these dishes as well as Da Chef. I keep ordering Szechuan beef at every Chinese restaurant I visit & I'm disappointed every time, because they're never anywhere near as good. I cannot get that beef out of my mind ?“

Our kids loved and appreciated the flavors. We will always make a stop here on the way to Oceanside from Phoenix AZ. “We love Si Bon! We are regular breakfast/ brunch customers but decided to go there for my birthday dinner. I started with their wonderful garlicky escargot in a waffle and my husband started with mushroom soup. My husband had Fried Chicken for his entree while i treated myself to steak frite, with hangar steak. Both were wonderful. Service was en pointe. The diners next to us were rather noisy and loud but the patio on this spring evening was delightful. And Si Bon gave me a free dark chocolate mousse to celebrate my special day.“

The food was excellent and was served quickly. Service was good and friendly.
We especially liked that there were multiple vegetarian options on the menu. They had indoor and outdoor seating available.
Beer and wine are available.
We will definitely return here sometime and we will recommend it to our friends.

We wanted to try a Coachella Valley favorite- the date shake.
We came across Lappert’s and decided to give them a try.
The store has a fun vibe to it. The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful. It looks like they have a very broad and creative menu, and can make just about anything that one could imagine. My husband ordered the date shake and I opted for the small cup with 2 generous scoops.
The standard cookies and cream was probably the best version I have ever had. It appears as they make all of their ice cream themselves.
For my other scoop I tried the Navels and ganach. What I really liked was that it was an orange ice cream and not a sorbet.
It tasted like one of the boxed chocolate flavors.
I would say the real winner here was the date shake. It has a very unique flavor, but not too strong. They used date ice cream and vanilla ice cream.
I would definitely recommend Lappert’s!!“

“Really excellent banh mi and spring rolls. I tried the chicken banh mi, vermacelli noodles with tofu (kids meal) and chicken spring rolls. Everything was excellent. The banh mi was easily one of the top 5 I've ever had (I'm a big banh mi fan). The tofu was delicious as well. I also loved how they make the spring rolls from scratch.

My parents - neither of whom likes sandwiches or is a particular fan of Vietnamese food - raved about their banh mis.“

“Tommy Bahamas hosted my rehearsal dinner for my wedding, a total of 16 adults and 4 children. They went above and beyond. Initially, we were on the outdoor terrace surrounded by other customers. I asked if we could be more secluded since some of the family and guests wanted to say some words. They proceeded to move our entire group to a different section of the terrace for a more private and quiet setting. It was incredibly kind and generous of them to do so. Benjamin, our waiter was also terrific. He was prompt, thorough, and the service we received was unparalleled. The food and drinks, as always, were tremendous, and my wife and I could not be more satisfied. They even gave us a piece of pina colada cake as a celebration! Thank you again to the entire Tommy Bahama staff for a wonderful evening.“

“Stopped at Shields today. We had breakfast, followed by a walk around the gardens. So many trees had fruit on them, just going to waste. Signs all over saying "don't pick the fruit." Instead of letting the fruit rot on the trees, why not pick the fruit to sell or even donate to a food pantry? I was saddened seeing all the fruit going to waste.“

“We were looking for some tasty breakfast at lunchtime and we found this place on Google with really high reviews so we decided to give it a try. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, close at 2, fyi.

When we walked in it gave off the old school diner vibe which we like! We were greeted right away and let them know we wanted take out. We sat at the bar and chatted with them while deciding what to order. Such friendly and accommodating staff! We are staying in a hotel so they made sure to provide us with all of the condiments and things we needed to take our meal back.

I ordered the Monte Cristo and it was divine! It was our favorite out of everything because it was packed with flavor and they were these cute little mini sandwich bites we could all share. My parents got the eggs and hash browns and really enjoyed a nice, simple home cooked meal. My daughter got the grilled cheese and fries and she thought the cheese was a bit too much, but otherwise she really enjoyed it.

They also had pies in a pie display and these awesome looking cinnamon rolls. We visit the desert often and will be adding this place to our regular rotation! Family friendly, lots of food options at an affordable price and free parking! We will take it! Check it out next time you are in Palm Desert!“

Kudos to Chef Emmanuel for a very tasty French food and special shoutout to our server Gina. She is exceptional, seasoned and we can tell she loves her job. “As a regular chaser of foods Japanese, I was so excited to discover Musashi! A small gem in Palm Desert. We were greeted by some cool jazz music in the background. “Coffee was decent. It was a little bitter, but still good overall. Definitely tasted like a dark roast, which some people may prefer. I like more of a smooth medium roast, so if you like dark roast, you will probably really like the coffee. The atmosphere is nice and the service was great. My friend ordered her drink a specific way and when it was messed up, they made her a new one right on the spot. The IW stands for Indian Wells, but since this one is outside of Indian Wells, the gentleman who works there told me it stands for I Want Coffee… which should be their t-shirt ❤️
