“Took the family to Burger Kook in Bonita this evening. This was the first time we visited and it was a fantastic dining experience. this is a Family business serving fine quality food in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We ordered the cheeseburger, the pizza burger, the teriyaki burger and corn dogs. Everything was terrific and the owners stopped by our table to check up, and we really enjoyed having a conversation with each of them. they make you feel so very welcome. definitely a do again. Lots more menu items to try.“

“Im here almost every day due to the proximity, however, the service has slowed down a little since the push to using the app, the inside order screens, and I'm thinking less employees per shift. I even see the managers having to pitch in to help more. I'm estimating I've been idling in this drive thru for over 20 minutes even though there were only a handful of cars ahead of me.“

“My roommate and I have been coming here for a while, it's easily one of our favorite regular spots. The atmosphere is stylish and gives off great vibes and always feels welcoming. The food is always fresh coming from local California farms. The drink menu is solid with all of the staples and some with added twists. The owners Chris and Jenn are amazing, they and their staff are always kind and provide incredible service. Other points to consider are the burger of the month, a rotating culinary delight often themed and always delicious, and the establishment holds many different events from art shows, drink and paint, trivia and so many others. Honestly, it's always a great place with friendly people. Chris and Jenn are leaders in the community and work to not only provide delicious food, and a great experience but also work hard to make the community better. Would recommend, and do recommend to everyone and anyone. 5/5 stars.“

We got the Oyama and Kimgogi burgers with the sidewinder fries, mac and cheese nuggets (I could eat a bucket of these babies) and the cypher wings. Everything was flavorful and well cooked. “First time at this location but I've tried Hodad's in Ocean Beach and at the ballpark. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with a half priced Strawberry Malt because it was happy hour. The Bacon Cheeseburger was solid but just way way way too much onion and pickles. This is how it was at the ballpark and sad to see this is how it is in the restaurant. The milkshake was pretty good though and a great price at $4.50. Overall I would come back for the milkshakes but not the burgers.“

“What a surprise for just picking something off the map! Beautiful view, but the food was SO SO good, and a great price. We had the Baja shrimp taco- generously sized and perfectly dressed. The pastrami burger- oh my…the bun was perfect, the beef and pastrami delicious, and the ONIONS WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD(wish I could do mine this way. Even the grilled cheese was top notch, done with crispy cheese inside and great quality bread. Lastly, we had the potato pirogies which were crisp and toasty on the outside and creamy inside and the hopping sauce we could DRINK. The employees were very nice and service was swift. Probably the best, quick meal we have had traveling in 2700 miles. Much appreciated!“

“I'm surprised I've never reviewed. Beef 'n Bun. First, it would be hard to find a better milkshake in the County, but they've always excelled in their burgers and fish (like another place I know 😉). Fries? I'm generally not a fan of crinkle cut fries, and theirs didn't do much to change that.
That aside, I was in the area and since I haven't had anything besides a banana shake in a few years, so I went in for a monster burger combo upgraded with a large banana shake. A quick note - I tried to get a banana shake in Vegas several weeks back. I've never seen so many blank stares in my life. Sad.
My shake came out first, as always. But I wasn't expecting a THREE PATTY cheeseburger. Surprise! It used to be a respectable 2-patty that I could finish and still breathe. Not this thing. It's obscene and decadent and meaty and cheesy. The onions, tomatoes and pickles don't stand a chance against the meat sunami. The bun is there to make it look like a burger, but don't expect it to hold up for long. You're on your own. Just don't accidentally bite your hand off. I think B&B did great by making the monster burger just that. I tried my best, but I ate too many of their FRIES. Curse them, these were cooked longer and had more salt than the old crinkle fries. I have no complaints. I would throw in a picture, but it's about 2/3 finished and gross like a meat-car crash with my face.
As for the banana shake, I just finished it - 90 minutes later. I'm so glad this place has been so good for so long.“

My daughter had the chicken tenders with fries and I had the single cheeseburger with onion rings. Our food was made fresh and quickly. One of the biggest reasons I had to leave this review is the OUTSTANDING service ⭐👏🏼Both visits I received some of the fastest, friendliest service I’ve had in a long long time ⏱️😊 Even though they were super busy, the manager still took time to come by to clear the table and check in to see we were happy 😃 finally a place that truly cares about customer service!! Our waitress was awesome too 👍🏼

“This used to be THEE spot and now I’m scared to return bc the last time, the burger was way off its usual taste. This place isn’t cheaper and every time we go we’d spend $60/70 since we’re a family of 5 & we always get a shake or two.
