“McDonald's became the PowerHouse of fast food it is today because of its organized ability to pump out food fast. Most often the employees are well-trained and organized to take your order, help you pay and then hand you a bag of hot food. Not always my first choice when it comes to Burger and Fries but in a pinch they do a great job.“
“My husband and I did date night last night. It was our second time here! Absolutely love it! Service each time was excellent. You can tell they see the value of providing excellent service. The food was piping hot and delicious. So happy to have such a great restaurant in our neighborhood. I hope everyone goes there to support this special place!!“
“Hidden gem in the mid city/city heights. My friend introduced me to this place. Once you walk in, you feel like you're in a different area; compared to the outside of this place LOL. I want to keep this place all to myself but I have to share. It's a small establishment with a bar, dining area and a rooftop lounge. I love that it is family friendly. Very nice, friendly and helpful crew Jasmine, Jennifer and Chris. We sat down and ordered a few drinks. My friend ordered some beer/IPA and I ordered Spicy Margarita (Serrano infused real del valle, triple sec, house made margarita mix, black charcoal salted rum). It was soooo delicious! I had to go for seconds , it is a spicy drink. I usually don't order spicy drink but this drink blew my mind; it was quite tasty. We also ordered some burgers. I ordered the black & blue burger: it was blackened seasoned beef patty, topped with blue cheese crumbles & buffalo sauce. On the side it had lettuce, tomatoes, onion and pickles. My friend ordered the burger of the month which was the "Pastramarami" which had beef patty, provolone cheese, sauerkraut and brown mustard. Both were cooked medium and burger meals came with a side of fries. We both liked our burgers. It was very fresh, the ingredients and fries were cooked perfectly. Burgers had lots of flavors. The Pattie's are from the Perennial Pastures ranch in North county and grass fed. The fries are insane, crispy, flavorful and compliments the burgers. Street parking is only available and very limited. I will definitely be back.“
“Attended an event here last night and their catering menu was on point! The truffle mac and cheese was a personal fave because you could take the premium cheeses used to create it. I also really enjoyed the frisky fried cauliflower and the pretzel bites! The service was also great. The servers refilled my drinks and took my empty plates promptly. This restaurant is perfect for a date night or a small private event! Looks like it would be a really good vibe on a weekend as they also had a DJ. I would definitely recommend this place! S/O to Chef Shawn for the delicious dishes!“
“Came here during their happy hour and they offer some pretty good deals. Got their mastiff fries, Brussels sprouts, and smash burger slider. Each of these were $5. They also offer $5 off all their whole pizzas. Took advantage of this and ordered their That's My Boy pizza. Suuuuuper good. Comes with pepperoni, ricotta cheese, jalapeño, honey, and red sauce. The balance of spiciness and sweetness is perfect. I noticed they had a bunch of beers on draft so it would be a great place to chill and have some drinks, too.“
“Great little tucked away place with good food for the price. Service from Alejandro was great. Took the time to chat and fill our drinks.Brisket was good and all the sides were good. Try the mashed potatoes. The Turkey was good and had a smokey taste. Will come again.“
“So many things I could have ordered, the options on this menu are vast, delicious, and represent both the American diner the place started as as well as the Mexican roots of the owner. If you like good food this super friendly, no fuss but all flavour place, is one of your best options on Coronado. Went with my kids who loved the huge pancakes, soft french toast, and crispy fries. I had the BLT-A, tried some of my dads fish tacos and my wife’s chorizo burrito, and look forward to going back for it all again sometime soon.“
“We enjoyed our food! We really loved the chicken and waffles. Unfortunately our grandma fainted (didn’t eat yet and was already feeling a little off) the staff was so helpfull and called a ambulance. They really were supportive and also Luis who work there was so friendly and told us to stay strong and was very sweet to us. Thank you so much and greetings from amsterdam“
“Classic Barrio Logan staple. Really liked the basic cheeseburger with the chile gueros. Ingredients are fresh, tasty, and savory. The animal style fries or Jimi fries as they are coined, are pretty tasty. Would return. Price point is a bit high, but I’d say every now and then it’s totally worth it. The art direction within the space is spontaneous and gives a street art style which is cool. I should mention the staff is great and relaxed, too.“
“We came in from las vegas and decided to try THE BALBOA SOUTH after hearing good things. We were not disappointed. The overall environment was clean, up beat, and family oriented. The centennial burger was massive and cooked medium the way I like it. The garlic fries, and salt and pepper fries were on point. The dark horse stout awesome!. Okay in done. Definitely will be going back before our trip is done.“
“The food and service were incredible. We came all the way from Florida for a concert, but made sure to stop here to eat, and it was absolutely worth it! We'll definitely be returning when we're back in town. Everything was cooked to order and fresh, though there was a bit of a wait, it was definitely worth it. We loved every bit of it!“
“Love this place. I have gone a few times and each time has been a good experience. Went at night and they only had one server at the time and she was doing it all. Serving drinks and food. Props to her. Atmosphere is great. Drinks are affordable, and the food is good.“
“No complaints. Contrary to belief, the line moves fast and they have never gotten my order wrong. Employees are super nice and I really have nothing to complain about. Drive thru and dinning in isn't all that bad compared to what impatient people say.“
“First time visiting this place. It was a cute, cozy atmosphere. It feels like you're in someone's home. They have a full bar and food menu. I ordered the steak and fries and the BF ordered a burger. We started with their calamari and drinks. I have to say, everything was GOOD. Food was fresh and delicious. My bloody mary was really good and well put together. Service could have been better, but I don't regret trying this place.“
“Good place to grab burgers. Big fans of the burger of the month club for buy one entree, get one free. And have always been happy with the burger of the month. Happy hour 3-6pm during the week and all day Tuesday includes beer ($7), wine ($7), and margarita/mule/old fashioned ($9) and some small apps for $8“
“Had a wonderful experience here! We got the pretzels and queso (delicious!), sliders, and a burger! Food and drinks were excellent and our server, Curtis, was very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend if you’re in Gaslamp Quarter.“
“This casual eatery offers burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and good beer at great value. The laid-back atmosphere includes indoor and outdoor seating and heaters for chilly weather.Kid-friendliness: Casual spot with picnic tables and fenced in so kids can play around a bit.“
“I love Lazy Dog! The food is good and the service has always been great, the location is easy to get too. Friends and I go every so often during happy hour and make a meal out of the starters. Bacon candy and the goat cheese and pepper jelly as delicious!“
“This restaurant is in downtown La Mesa seriously amazing. Probably the best burger I've ever had. I got to be the last burger before they sold out. it was so juicy but honestly this sauce they put on top has like southwest flavoring, and they have roasted poblano peppers on top of the burger. So much flavor but not falling apart. This place is clean, nice and the most accommodating staff. The owners were there and took care of us personally. It's definitely worth the line.“
“I've had California Burritos at work a few times and always found their burritos to be yummy, but this was the first time we had them cater a party for us and we were thoroughly impressed. From the beginning, communicating with Gustavo was easy and he was always quick to respond. When we wanted more options other than bean and cheese burritos for our vegetarian guests, he came up with a wonderful solution. The price for everything was less than most competitors. And Gustavo listened to us and our desire to keep as much single use plastics out of our order as possible! We ordered 66 mini burritos for our party of 40 guests and everyone came up to us letting us know how delicious their food was! The only downside was that they didn't offer delivery past 2pm, but it worked out that one of our party guests was coming around 5pm anyway so he just picked up our order for us. We would use them again in the future :)“
“I don’t even be leaving reviews but this place I gotta. You are doing your self a disservice by choosing not to eat here. I’m born and raised in San Diego went to college in Oklahoma, lived in Virginia for a good amount of years post college. so I’ve had plenty of amazing BBQ from other states I lived in and their neighboring states. I can confidently say this is up there with the best of them not . Im not eating any other type of BBQ in San Diego I promise you that. I had Wings, Mac n cheese, greens, burnt ends, and brisket my god it went crazy I’ll definitely be back soon. And no photos once I had a bite I didn’t stop to take any photos“
“This is a small cafe that has been around a long time. As such, it's not necessarily trendy or have great decor, but it is a nice place. Our waitress was good and the food was also good. If you want a great sloppy Joe, or a good salad, this is a good place. Plus they serve a few vegetarian dishes.Parking: The parking lot is small, but we found parking at lunch time.Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair accessible.“
“Great greasy Smash burgers at a reasonable price. Dog friendly outdoor seating. Staff is inviting and grateful. If you don't like buttery grilled onions on your burger, steer away. If this is your thing, you have found a new weekly hang out.Menu is simple and no substitutions are allowed. This brings up the quality and expediency of service. Zero complaints and a full belly!“
“Stopped in for a burger and came out feeling like I just just left a buffet!! Not only was the food hot fresh and delicious, it was enough for two people. I had the original melt w a fried egg, fries and a ginger beer soda in which I've never tasted a soda so refreshing! Candace was my server, and she was very patient and didn't mind answering my millions of questions about the many selections on the menu. Thank you Candace for showing me much love while visiting SD. The Melt was my favorite meal of the week ?“
“Love this place. Their BBQ chicken pizza is my favorite. It's always the perfect crisp. I love all the toppings in this pizza. Very consistent. And their sweet chili & lemon pepper wings are really good. Packed with flavor. Tried the wagyu sliders but they were NOT a hit. Wasn't flavorful, kinda blain, basic and were so sad the tater tots had no flavor at all. But hella crispy. Atmosphere is cool, tvs and little bar top. The staff is ok. Overall, I'll keep going back.“
“Was wanting something different than the standard chain breakfast spots in San Diego and this place hit the nail on the head.First time here and was not disappointed. Service was great all around from the hostess, to the waiters, bussers, all around. And there was no wait! Overall, the place has a really welcoming vibe which is something I haven’t encountered and appreciated. Plenty of space inside as well. Really diverse menu; looking forward to returning and trying more of their items. Alcohol menu is solid, from bloody Mary’s to mimosa flights to micheladas even. Had the chicken fried steak and it was definitely one of the better ones I’ve had in San Diego. Look forward to returning and bringing more people with me to have a taste of this hidden gem!“
“This place was a perfect spot for breakfast near a marina hotel. It’s got a great vibe, plenty of choice for breakfast and staff who were attentive and able to help.Note- the menu has changed in the last 6 months and they no longer do their cereal options. They’ll kindly do granola with fruit though! :) Attached is their new menu.“
“This is by far the best burger in the city! The people are very friendly and helpful. This is one of those got to try it places, it's the best!Parking: LotsKid-friendliness: Lots of kids and familiesWheelchair accessibility: Easy access for handicappers“
“I love In N Out burgers so much. It always taste amazing when I get one. However, the fries don't always taste the best. Sometimes they taste stale and have no salt... call me crazy but after I get my burger at In N Out, sometimes I go to Mcdonalds right next door to get there fries. Mcdonalds fries just taste better to me. Other than that In N Out burgers and milkshakes are amazing and they are much for afforable than any other placd.“
“The burgers were so delicious. Better than In n Out! We waited about 20 minutes in line and then another 15 or 20 for the food but it was still totally worth it. I highly recommend! The pizza smelled super incredible, too.Wheelchair accessibility: Probably not good access for a wheelchair. The doorways are tight and there are such long lines, it may be challenging.“
“I visited this brewery on my lunch break because I was craving a good burger. I ordered the smash burger, but chose the 3x3 variety. It was simple yet delicious! It hit all the spots a burger should hit. Sometimes you don't need veggies, and this burger represents that. The fries were fresh as well. The inside of the brewery is roomy, has plenty of naturally light, and is clean. If you happen to be in the area, please try these burgers. Eat up!!!“
“I didn’t know where to leave a review on workers but I’m assuming here . Came in today ordered a #1 and was helped by Luchen not sure if I am spelling name right but short Mexican guy. He was super welcoming!! He was so sweet ! Also burger was fire (get extra toast on your burger !)“
“I know that this place doesn't even realize how special it was to me. This was my first time here. I brought my dad because we had just found out he had cancer and we wanted to make a special memory by going to the Chris Stapleton concert. We stayed there for hours because he was in pain. The waitress-can't remember her name-(long curly red hair ) was so amazing even though she was so busy, I felt so bad for her. Best waitress we ever had. The only downside was they were taking a lot of video and pictures of all the cute girls in their cowgirl outfits and younger people but I don't think they took any of us even though we were there for hours. But it doesn't change the fact they were amazing. Great atmosphere, great food (we had nachos and they were a little cold) great drinks, amazing service. Thank you!“
“This is the favorite sports bar spot in town for my husband and I! Not only do they have fantastic seating options but the food is insane (in the best way)! I could rave about their fries forever - and I probably will. Especially the animal fries. Service has always been efficient and friendly!“
“Ordered the Ortega Chili burger with steak fries to go. It is a solid burger, tasty, and they wrapped the lettuce, onions, and tomato separately so it didn’t get mushy during the ride home. Loved it!The steak fries were not so tasty. Maybe old oil or whatever, but I think I will try their onion rings next because those steak fries missed the target.“
“I like it a lot and the most important thing is that my order is extra vegetables and they are always very fresh and I enjoy them in my style and all their staff is very professional doing their work online, they have a very good work styleParking: They have a lot of parking but their clientele is triple and service by car is even greater. We adapt, it is worth it because the delicious burgers are super goodKid-friendliness: Family atmosphere and good for the familyWheelchair accessibility: Yes tables with labels for disabled people very ?“
“Conflicted about this review, love their food, good value, but have to say something about this skewer. I get food from here like 2 times a month, I usually get the gyro, patty melt, burger, Philly cheese steak, skewer meal, but this time I got a gyro sandwich and was extra hungry, so I decided to get something extra, which was this chix skewer that was $9.99. I thought that it would be a good size skewer but this was what I got when I got home. Like I said I like this place, and will continue to be a patron, but I will never get nor recommend anybody get this chix skewer for 10 bucks that was 3.2 ounces“
“For December nights in balboa this year we tried the bbq pork and the spicy pad kaprao burgers and they were super tasty! I'd never had a burger with the buns switched out for rice. Though I loved the flavors, serving size, and spiciness it was a bit too much rice and the whole thing was pretty sticky. The cooks and people in the booth were super cool and friendly, letting us take pics of them while they made the patties and eggs. We also got the Thai iced tea with boba and again, though it was good, it was a little too sweet and the boba was really gummy. I'm sure their actual location will have better quality and freshness than just a pop up in the park.“
“Woah , stumbled upon this gem while on Vacation ! Absolutely hands down , the best meal of our entire trip ♡ The service was great ♡ , they were very attentive , bubbly , & offered great recommendations! We ended up trying the French Toast , Maggie's Green Chilaquilles , Chile Relleno Omlette , & the Biscuts & Gravy ( SOS ) ( Reminded me of my Childhood ) THANK YOU !!!!“
“You cannot find a better Philly Cheese steak in San Diego and if you think so message me and I'll pay for it unless it's not. Guarantee.Mush with Hot Peppers and if you're in the mood Cheese Wiz. Boom done son. They have a lot of other subs and apparently are doing breakfast now? Anyway go for the Philly stay for the beers.“
“This was our second visit to this place, and once again, we were pleased with our choices. I particularly enjoyed the Cardiff tri-tip option—it adds a nice local touch to the menu, and the burger was exquisite! One thing that bothered me was the need to pay extra for fries instead of chips. While the fries were indeed really good, shouldn't a burger come with fries? The restaurant offers plenty of wine and beer selections, and the service was nice and attentive. However, despite sitting indoors, it was surprisingly cold, even with our jackets on!Overall, while I wouldn't give it a 5-star rating, I still recommend this place“
“Embracing the cozy rainy weather a day longer, we decided to order some dinner from shack shack. Highly recommend adding the roadside onions to your burger, it's a must! It added so much flavor to my shack burger. I also ordered a side of fries and their oreo milkshake. I made my milkshake a malt, because why not! It's literally one of the best milkshakes I've ever had! My friend ordered a smokeshack burger, which comes with bacon, along with some bacon cheesey fries. Both options looked great for any bacon lovers out there! Great place for burgers, fries, shakes, and more! Our order traveled well and was delivered pretty quickly as well.“
“So impressed! - spicy 'chicken' sandwich, chocolate peanut butter shake, sweet potato fries, chicken salad, all fantastic. Access to the store was a little interesting but worth it, beautiful shop, great staff. -my favorite part was that after I had fast food, I actually felt “
“Ordered a Guido Burger Basket was good as is, but was great when I added some fresh onions and Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce. Wish the Onion Rings came out hot but they did not. Also had the Mini Bacon Cheeseburger Basket which was good but nothing to write home about. Fries were really good, well seasoned, hot, and fried just right.“
“10 ⭐️ establishment! Brand new store with plenty of parking. You walk into this place and everything is in order and clean. Peter is easy to talk to and always makes you feel welcome. I’ve stopped in about 4 times now and he seems to know everyone’s name that walks into the store. Well stocked with all the essentials that you want. Snacks, beer, candy and liquor. Oh, and a kitchen! They are serving up some delicious food! If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend you stopping by and checking it out. Keep up the good work guys! ??“
“The staff was super friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. I have a gluten allergy and the staff was very helpful in informing me of what was a possible cross contamination risk. I ultimately had the fishermen's stew and they were able to give me a gluten free alternative to the traditional bread that is served with it. It was delicious and perfect. The lavender lemon drop was also really good!“
“This place has been a favorite of my wife and her family - and now all of us - for half a century! She is addicted to their deep-fried burritos (simple but tasty little gut bombs they are) and the peanut butter fudge shake I created for her. (I'm also partial to the banana fudge shake, but all the ice cream goodies here are luscious!) My mother adores their strawberry sundaes and shakes. Foster's may play havoc with your calories, but sometimes that's the cost of happy.“
“Now that’s a good burger, happy to hear they will be staying in location. Having a quality option for a smash burger early in the morning is a blessing really, but having an outstanding burger as an option is crazy. I don’t have to speak much on the actual burger because it’s just amazing, but the sauces and sides are also so bomb. Good customer service, although both orders have had an item missing. Not a big deal, I appreciate the care of this business. They go out of their way for customers which is another star for me, if you like smash burgers hit this place up you won’t regret it.“
“No other ice cream place compares. Prices are a little high but it's more than worth it! Oreo cheesecake twister is my absolute favorite and of course always have to grab some tater tots as well!!Parking: Lots of parkingKid-friendliness: They have an outside eating area that it's perfect for the kiddos.Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair accessible“
“Oh, yeah. A Valentine's dinner every gal would love, JIB. My husband and I have been together for 36 years, so there's no pomp and circumstance with holidays anymore. We enjoyed our time together on this trip and food was fast and yummy.“
