“Was in the area and saw this poke spot was close. I stopped in and the food looked really fresh and there was plenty of people inside and it was only 11:30. I ordered the large with 5 scoops and it filled me up. If I’m back in the area I will definitely have to stop and eat again“

“I went to Aloha Stacks for breakfast on July 3rd. When I got there the line was out the door, but it moved pretty quickly. We ordered and got a table very easily. The food came very quickly and the wait staff was very attentive, checking to see if we needed anything several times. I had the chicken katsu and waffles and my companion had strawberry crepes and a side of kalua pork. All were delicious. It was very busy but they didn't rush us out. Parking is difficult...I parked on the street nearby.“

“For someone who adores beef, their beef bowl is da bomb, big and juicy just the way I like it. My boyfriend also had the big bros house special and I honestly don’t know which is best cause the sauce is heavenly.“

“Amazing! The whole family eats here. Ribs are unique and usually aren't served anywhere, but really like how they are one of the only ones to serve it. Katsu and the chicken are always my favorite. I do however recommend that they have a different sauce instead of a house sauce. A regular teriyaki sauce would be really good, which is something I suggest.

The person working at the front is amazing! One man show during peak hours sometimes and I always see him working hard. Keep it up!“

“The place is small but don't let that fool you! The menu is huge. The portions are so big they use tape to help keep containers closed. The flavor.....UNMATCHED, Island Beef Ribs and Poke is what we got and both were amazing.
Poke is just as if you were in the island! Amazingly good, they sell out fast so get there early. Sure there's other Poke places around but they are so artificial and processed like store bought Poke.

The staff is so friendly! They're helpful if you have questions and is always with a smile! Love them.

“Update: This has become one of my 2 spots that I go to for AUTHENTIC Hawaiian food. Everything here is delicious. You can watch the chefs grill your meal on an open flame. If you haven't been here, you haven't tasted real Hawaiian BBQ. Warning: the spam musubis sell out, so get there early for a chance to get one. If they sell out, I don't need to tell you how good they are.

OMG. I was recommended to try this place and they were not lying. I didn't take pictures, I was too excited to eat. I could smell the bbq before I walked in. I got the Big Kahuna family meal, its a very generous portion. I also got the beef ribs, those are a must. The only thing I didn't get to try was the spam masubi, but I'll definitely be back.“

I had some questions and the chef was very helpful, he answered all my questions and I asked for some suggestions, he was spot on. I also ordered a cooked salmon dish. “What an enjoyable meal! From start to finish, everything went smoothly. The team was welcoming and attentive, making sure we had a great dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and it was clear that high-quality ingredients were used. I also liked the balance between casual and elegant in the restaurant’s design—it felt both comfortable and stylish. This is a spot I’d recommend for families, friends, or even a solo meal. “Plate lunches here are just as delicious as on the Hawaiian Islands. First, the garlic butter shrimp...I will dream about it. Second, the bbq chicken was tender and oh-so flavorful on its own; no need for the dipping sauce although the sauce IS super tasty. Next, the rice is topped with furikake and sesame seeds. Sadly, the spicy pork flavor is excellent, but I don't like how it's in small pieces. I referred to it as shrapnel pieces, and my BF thought that was a precise phrase for it. We were disappointed that the gochujang wings were not available on a weekend night at 6:30pm. This a food court location, so if you want to eat hot & fresh, you need to find a table two stalls down in a small inside area with about 6 tables or outside with about the same amount of tables.“

“Always mine and my family's favorite poke place! Although Jimmy's Poke across from the Walmart is a lot closer to us, Mr. Poke is just top notch, may I say the GOAT. Jimmy's doesn't compete with Mr. Poke's freshness, portions, and atmosphere; Jimmy's is way too expensive for just 2 bowls of poke, and has gone downhill ever since they opened. Jimmy's menu was inconsistent and had quite a few stuff out of stock last time I was there in 2025. However, Mr. Poke has really stepped up with newer decor, quality consistency, and even adding on a stamping system for rewards that'll make us loyal customers come back for more.

Although not fully packed, their patrons sure have increased compared to the first time I tried them in 2020, where there was practically no line and only 1 employee. Not a long wait, but it can get a small line even on the weekdays, so it'll depend. But it's always clean and quiet with a few tables and seats. In addition, they added another employee to the line when I visited today 6 years later, demonstrating how they've grown in reputation.

Ultimately, I'm glad to see a small business growing and getting the recognition it deserves, so I highly recommend them to keep it up! 👏“

“I come here often since it's near my work. I really wanted to post this review so I can show everyone how great my bowl looked. I got a small bowl but the worker packed it so well. Chef's kiss! The service here is fast. Even if they are working on online orders, they make sure to tend to the customers in person first. Everyone is sweet too and they give you extra sauce in the side if you ask.

I've eaten inside a few times too and the ambiance is fine. Definitely recommend if you are so the area“

“I came after my nieces softball game at Norwalk high School. I have been looking for a good local Chinese fast food location. The quality of the food is tasty. They cut your teriyaki chicken when you order it, but I did happen to come when they were near the end of their coconut shrimp (still tasty). I am a fried rice only so I can't say how delicious the chow mien is. I would gladly recommend and if they were closer, this would be my go to spot for Chinese fast food.“

“I am from out of town i am here visiting my sister in the hospital. I was looking for a good teryaki plate for my wife and I. I read reviews and I decided to try hi bbq. The customer service was great,the price was good and the food was excellent. The ginger dressing was tangy and really good for the salad. The chicken and steak was flavorful and the macaroni salad was really good. Until my sister comes home this will be the place we will go to. If you are looking for really good food at a good price I highly recommend hi bbq. Also the staff was really nice and the place is very comfortable.“

Reminds me of a NYC Automat only a 21st-century interpretation with self-service menu ordering terminals, no coin or currency, smartphone updates, and access to retrieving your order from numbered/lettered lockers. Very clean, fast service, and no on premises dining. Many restaurants and foods are featured. Location is in a light industrial area and well traveled. I recommend you try this place.“

Stopped in with my friend to grab some dinner. Staff are very helpful and courteous, and assisted me to pick out something to eat. Customer service at an all time high. Dining area is either in use, or prepped for next use. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Will surely return many hungry times, as it is down the street from my house.
Definitely a 5-star rating! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“We really enjoy the Loft Hawaiian food. They closed the really big nice one in Torrance and now there are multiple small ones with simple decor. The food is still amazing but the atmosphere is a bit less than the big restaurant was. I recommend everything but my favorite dishes are. Lomi Salmon, spam musubi, island style fried chicken, lau law and of course the kalua pork. It seems like everything comes with rice and macaroni salad. 😋 so good. I don't think you can go wrong here everything is delicious.“

I got the small bowl. Just the teriyaki chicken and rice. They give you a lot of chicken and big pieces too. They also have extra teriyaki sauce and hot sauce. Ohh and they have free fountain drinks between 2-4 pm. My order was to go. Love this spot.“

“I've been coming here for the past two years since returning to school nearby. For the price, the poke bowls are definitely worth it—the portions are generous and satisfying.
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the rice isn't always consistent. Being Asian, I definitely know my rice! 😂 Other than that, it's in a convenient location, the service is usually fast, and it's been one of my go-to spots.“

“I am so upset right now. I love this place and it’s right down the street from my house and I called like at 8:50 PM. The business hours say they close at nine and nobody answered right away when they did answer they just picked the phone up and set it down so I could hear things in the background, but nobody answered me. I wanted to order two scoops of macaroni salad, which is super easy and I could be there before nine to pick it up if they would’ve placed my order. I think that’s very unprofessional. If you close at nine, you should be picking up the phone and having the doors unlocked available for people to walk in before 9 PM. I don’t know if their doors were locked or not because I would be on my way home from work that’s why I wanted to call my order in and I would’ve been there in five minutes. Have they placed my order it would’ve been fine. I am highly disappointed.“
