“This is my "go to" place in Burlingame! Fantastic wine selection , nice cool vibe. Austin, and Drea, as well as Jason (owner ), are extremely knowledgable. If you are looking for interesting wine, and a chill atmosphere, this is it. They have Thursday night wine events that are a great value to taste new wines. They get prominent wine makers, and wineries from major areas to have tastings throughout the year as well. They have small bites to nosh with your wine. :)”

“Yan gon is a family own Burmese restaurant on broadway Burlingame. The owner and the entire staff were extremely friendly , attentive , courteous . helpful, and welcoming . Their dishes are delicious . I have tried their Burmese Style Curry Lamb , Singapore Street noodles, Deep fried Chicken Wings , and Wor Wonton Soup. All four dishes were delicious, but my favorite is the won ton soup . This soup is perfect , it's so healthy and brothy. The broth is so rich that left a long lasting mouthwatering and coating sensation lingering in my tongue. The wontons are so tasty , juicy , and flavorful with the right amount of , I believe was pork , ginger , garlic ,chopped onions , sugar, salt , pepper , and shrimps . . The shrimps were very tastey and fresh . It didn't have that strange scent of ammonia or fishy smell like spoiled shrimps . The restaurant is simple , bright , clean , casual ambience with ample seatings. I have been here many times and got seated right away. No wait . This restaurant is a must try if you have the craving for Burmese food or just want to try something new.”

They offer both indoor and outdoor seating; I personally love sitting outside, but since it was raining, I chose to sit inside and still had a wonderful experience. They didn't have food in the middle of the day, but the manager was extremely helpful and suggested nearby places we could bring in food from. The beers on tap were great as well. Be warned it is cash only. The whole place had a fun atmosphere and great hospitality. I'd highly recommend it even midday to grab some beers and hang out with friends!”

But lately I've noticed thier prices keep climbing higher and higher!! We came by Mon morning and ordered two breakfast! The quantity is less, and $60.00 ( plus 15%) tip is very expensive!
They have not updated thier menu prices on the net, and each dish was $20.00 plus!! I can remember when it was more reasonable at around $ 14.00 or something of this nature.
The next time we think of going here, I'm going to think twice. Getting two costly for eggs,toast, and cheese on a plate!”

“I would like to share my disappointing experience at this restaurant last night regarding the reservation process and customer service.
Before arriving, we called the restaurant to make a reservation. The staff member who answered told us to make a reservation through Yelp. I explained that Yelp was not allowing us to book, which was the reason we called directly. She then told us that she would put us in the system and that our table would be ready in about 20 minutes, which worked perfectly for our drive to the restaurant.
However, when we arrived and informed the hostess that we had a reservation, she immediately told us that the restaurant does not take reservations and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. I even showed her the sms confirmation from my phone.This was very confusing and frustrating because we had just spoken with someone who confirmed our reservation over the phone.
As a result, we arrived expecting a table to be ready, only to find out that no reservation existed. We were dining with a child, so the unexpected wait made the situation even more difficult.
I understand that restaurants can be busy, but clear and consistent communication is very important. If reservations are not accepted, this should have been communicated honestly during the phone call. The conflicting information made us feel misled and disappointed with the service experience.
I hope management can review this situation with the staff to prevent similar misunderstandings for future guests.”

It's an ice cream shop that fulfill the most posh of taste. My favorite is the Ube ice cream . Its so luscious , thick and creamy texture with a mellow, subtle nutty, and a hint of vanilla flavor. Location is great. It's on broadway Burlingame next to Walgreens. Meter spots , parking lots , and 2 hrs of free parking available. Cute ambience and the entire staff is attentive and welcoming.”

“The moment you bite into any dish here, you KNOW it's fresh. What I loved the most was that each dumpling had sooo much meat in it and lots of flavor! They even have an open kitchen layout so you can watch them make the dumplings! If dumplings aren't your thing, definitely try their House Special Beef Noodle Soup and be sure to get the Marinated Beef appetizer. The garlic sauce it comes with is so good.

“This bubble tea spot was such a vibe. I got the brown sugar boba and it was honestly perfection. The drink was creamy, smooth, and perfectly sweet. The boba pearls were soft and chewy just the way I like them. The tea and milk ratio was spot on, and every sip tasted super fresh and balanced.
It is a cute little spot, perfect for quick pickups. There is not much space to sit, but it totally works if you just want to grab your drink and go. Everything felt freshly made and not overly sugary like some other places. You can tell they put effort into getting the flavor right.
I finished my drink way too fast because it was that good. Definitely one of the best brown sugar bobas I have had in a while. I am for sure coming back again.”

“Found this spot since it was right near our hotel, and it clearly draws a crowd! We stopped by for breakfast and the place was absolutely packed, which is usually a good sign.

The Food
The menu is huge—they have everything from quick pastries to full sit-down meals like Eggs Benedict and French toast. Here’s the breakdown of what we tried:
• Eggs Benedict: Awesome! Perfectly cooked and really hit the spot.
• Chocolate French Toast: Fantastic. If you have a sweet tooth, this is a must-order.
• Strawberry Croissant: This was the only slight letdown. While it looked beautiful, it was a bit stale and lacked that fresh, buttery crispiness you want in a croissant.

The Experience
The system here is order and pay at the counter first, then they bring the food out to your table. They also have water carafes already on the tables for self-service, which I always appreciate. Even though it was busy, the service remained solid and friendly.

Parking & Tips
Since it’s right in the heart of downtown Burlingame, parking is all street parking. You might have to circle the block once or twice during peak morning hours, but it's worth it for the vibe.”

“It was fun going during the soft opening of Palmetto Superfoods in Burlingame (there are other locations in the Metreon, on Union Street, and on Clement Street in San Francisco, with another planned for Santana Row). I learned a lot by speaking with the super friendly and deservedly-proud owner. This location in Burlingame is a really cool little spot diagonally across from Safeway and has a sweet public rooftop sitting area. And I love that everything is plant-based except the honey and bee pollen, but they have a vegan apple honey — which is absolutely delicious — as a superior substitute. Anyway, with a choice of bowls (and smoothies), one could choose a set one on the menu or customize everything with unlimited bases and toppings — as long as it fits in whatever size bowl you choose (yup, I totally went large). I opted for the Bay Blend, but swapped out the strawberries (not really my thing) for toasted coconut flakes (most definitely my thing). The bowl was quickly layered by the friendly employee, who looked like she was excited for her next opportunity to surf, at least in my imagination. From the açaí, pitaya/dragonfruit, and chia pudding on the bottom to the banana and almond butter in the middle to the granola, blueberries, and toasted coconut, etc. on top, it was scrumptious and satisfying. Wanting to try a little more deliciousness, I decided to take a Midnight Beach smoothie to go. Now that I’m gone, I know I’ll be back!”

I can appreciate the amount of customization this boba place offers, from the long list of flavors, to the many topping choices, to the amounts of sweetness and ice you can request, to the option to add milk. That's what makes it different from the rest. The staff at Burlingame are particularly excellent. A customer once mistook my order for their own and left, and the employees quickly noticed and remade my drink. Overall, a fine boba place, 4/5.”

“We arrived before our reservation time and they were able to accommodate. Our waiter was great with detailing the dishes and answering my culinary questions. Service was slow. It took nearly 25 minutes to receive cocktails. I had to inquire about appetizers which were ordered with cocktails. The GM was very present and walking the dining area but not speaking to any guests or acknowledging that they are waiting without drinks and food. The food was good. I have a different palate so my good may great for another person. The only negative was how long everything took when it wasn’t a night where there was a full house of guests. If that can improve, we may return. For context we ordered Smoked Bourbon Prickly Pear Margarita Calamari Crab & Artichoke Dip Crab Stuffed Sole topped with roasted garlic and shallot shrimp and a side of mashed potatoes Ribeye with compound butter and Cold Water Lobster Tail We switched from cocktails to wine with the main dish.”

Excellent Food & Great Quality

Watani Spot serves some of the best, clean, and delicious food. I had the Nahrin Baghlan Kebab—a perfect mix of juicy beef and tender chicken kebab with fresh salad, warm bread, beans, and crispy fries. Everything was well-seasoned, fresh, and cooked perfectly. You can really taste the quality and care.

“Happy new year ume. I love the matcha latte. The sweetness is just on point, not overly sugary, so you can fully taste the authentic tea flavor. U guys used to play music like keshi and sombr in the store which I enjoy listening while waiting for order. I kinda miss that.”

“This is such a cute coffee shop that offers a little bit of everything. The atmosphere is chill and they have an outside patio in the back as well as inside seating but limited. I had their pour over and it definitely delivered with flavor and a good kick. I also tried the very popular Pistachio Einspanner latte and that was really good and now I know why it’s a favorite. The pastries are so cute looking and they pair well with their coffee. I ordered the Hokkaido Cheesecake and it was delish and the perfect size. The baristas are super chill and knowledgeable not to mention they have latte art skills. So if you’re in the area and want good coffee come check it.”
