“extremely bad tasting food and bizzare combinations....miffed at kichadi like biryani with no flavour and being served with aam ka achar....god knows how this restaurant got Michelin star rating ....Shame on the chefs and the owners for ripping off the customers with overpricing of the food for poor service, absence of any ambience or decor”
“Yan gon is a family own Burmese restaurant on broadway Burlingame. The owner and the entire staff were extremely friendly , attentive , courteous . helpful, and welcoming . Their dishes are delicious . I have tried their Burmese Style Curry Lamb , Singapore Street noodles, Deep fried Chicken Wings , and Wor Wonton Soup. All four dishes were delicious, but my favorite is the won ton soup . This soup is perfect , it's so healthy and brothy. The broth is so rich that left a long lasting mouthwatering and coating sensation lingering in my tongue. The wontons are so tasty , juicy , and flavorful with the right amount of , I believe was pork , ginger , garlic ,chopped onions , sugar, salt , pepper , and shrimps . . The shrimps were very tastey and fresh . It didn't have that strange scent of ammonia or fishy smell like spoiled shrimps . The restaurant is simple , bright , clean , casual ambience with ample seatings. I have been here many times and got seated right away. No wait . This restaurant is a must try if you have the craving for Burmese food or just want to try something new.”

“Best first time experience ever!!! Had a group of 5 and we called in advance and they were so accommodating. Food was delicious and service was fast. We met the owner/chef and he was so kind to us. Highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back!”
“We got a combo doner (gyro) wrap. I am picky about doner, it is very hard for me to like if it is not really good. But this doner was amazing! Juicy, well cooked, tasty. No additional sauce in the wrap, just like the real Turkish doner! I highly recommend this place. And I’ll definitely try the other meal options in the future.”

“Can't believe I haven't left my praises for this place!
Hands-down best wine bar in the Peninsula! Amazing selection, wines for all palates, beginners, vinos, and wine nerds alike. Staff is amazing, super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The flights are super fun and great to expand your palate. And if you study the wine list closely, you'll find some bottles priced at a steal! This has quickly become my go-to spot and it will become yours soon!”

“One of the best ramen shops in the bay area! Trust the reviews, this place is phenomenal. Delicious broth with such a complexity of flavors in a rich/hearty ramen. It rivaled both marafuku and hinodeya. I loved the clam ramen (it was PACKED with clams), and our other guests truly enjoyed the short rib ramen and the tonkotsu. Fast service, intimate space, and hot food. Worth the drive from SF”

“I love supporting small businesses and this place is the Best! I love their Lavazza cappuccino and pastries especially the cannolis! Got to try the vegetariana sandwich today and it was the best vegetarian sandwich I’ve had! Super cute spot and very kind people!”
“BG is a gorgeous restaurant, with well prepared food, and live music/jazz, most days of the week. Owners are very personable and hands-on, which is rare, amongst restaurants. Great place for special occasions or just a night out with your favorite person/people. Share a great experience, without a shocking price tag!”
“Great pub with a beautiful beer garden in the back. It was a perfect spot to hang out with a larger group. They didn't have food in the middle of the day, but the manager was extremely helpful and suggested nearby places we could bring in food from. The beers on tap were great as well. Be warned it is cash only. The whole place had a fun atmosphere and great hospitality. I'd highly recommend it even midday to grab some beers and hang out with friends!”
“I had to stop by Royal Donut Cafe because of all of the great reviews I saw on Yelp! And I must say that I wasn't disappointed at all! The staff was awesome! From the cashier, to the cooks, and the server. And I even got a chance to meet the owner, Terri, who has taken over the business for the past 15 years! Definitely going to be a regular here! I ordered the vegetarian omelet! 😋”
“Incredible food and atmosphere with a great customer service team, including our server windy .”

“Calm, quiet, peaceful atmosphere, perfect service, reasonably priced high quality sushi, and short wait times. The food was amazing, pretty much the best quality sushi you can possibly find in this entire area. Absolutely no complaints, and no reasons to complain. Five stars across the board.”
“I had the pleasure of dining at Aracini last night! The atmosphere was wonderful - open and airy - beautiful interior design! The food was exceptional - polenta and the aracini were delicious. The service was wonderful! I enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere added to this special night@”
“I've been dining at Twelvemonth for a long time, so I was pretty surprised when they rolled out the whole “prix fixe only in the dining room” policy earlier this year. The reality was simple: if you didn't want the prix fixe, you were pushed into the lounge with tiny tables, while the main dining room sat half-empty. The messaging around it — “smooth service,” “elevated experience,” etc. — didn't match what was actually happening. It just felt like an unnecessary divide. I voiced my concerns at the time, and clearly I wasn't the only one, because I'm happy to see the policy has now been completely reversed. No more forced prix fixe, no more segregation by menu choice. Everyone can dine in the main room again, which is exactly how it always used to be. The dining room is one of the best parts of this restaurant — warm, spacious, beautifully designed — and it never made sense to treat it like exclusive territory. I'm genuinely glad they listened to their customers and restored things to normal. Food is still great, and with this change, the overall experience finally lines up with what made Twelvemonth special in the first place.”
“Food and service was incredible. The sushi and ramen was delicious. We went for a birthday party and brought a cake. Without us asking, the waitress offered to store the cake in their own fridge and even gave us new clean plates to eat the cake with after we ate our food. Now I have 2 reasons to go back. The food and the service.”
“We had not been here since we visited at their previous location. We had a great 3-course meal here. Loved that the tables aren't close together, which allowed easy conversation. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Loved that they put a bottle of water on the table wo we didn't have to keep flagging down the server for more water. Prices were similar to those at comparable places. We'll be back.”
“We had a wonderful experience at Flights Restaurant in San Francisco! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere was great. We went for a large customer dinner and everyone loved it. The quality of the food and the service couldn't be faulted. I would recommend Flights Restaurant to anyone looking for a unique dining experience in San Francisco (especially those who love a restaurant with an aviation vibe).”

Takeout Restaurants
“This is a charming ice cream shop on broadway Burlingame. They have a great selection of tasty hand crafted ice creams, yogurts , sorbets, chocolates and candies. It's an ice cream shop that fulfill the most posh of taste. My favorite is the Ube ice cream . Its so luscious , thick and creamy texture with a mellow, subtle nutty, and a hint of vanilla flavor. Location is great. It's on broadway Burlingame next to Walgreens. Meter spots , parking lots , and 2 hrs of free parking available. Cute ambience and the entire staff is attentive and welcoming.”
“I found out about this gem because a coworker told me about it. I am so glad I came here after a work meeting for lunch. It was a delicious lunch. I got the spicy beef noodle soup with extra spice and beef and the beef, lamb and fish dumplings. It was out of this world. The service was friendly and super attentive highly recommend.”
“came from sf for the love and deepspace collab! we got the caleb (apple oolong) and sylus (grapefruit) drinks. caleb tasted kinda sandy but there were five million people in the store, so no worries. both really tasty still. i recommend 100% sweet. good luck to the workers because there were a lot of whiny people you guys are the best 😭👍”
“Mingalaba is a wonderful restaurant - interesting mix of different food types. They do have my favorite spring roll of any restaurant I've ever eaten at - a spring roll (not deep fried) with tempura shrimp wrapped in avocado with a Burmese sauce that is really delicious. Also like the string beans with tofu, the Tea Leaf Salad and the vegetable chow fun - just very delicious. The service is wonderful, the people are nice, not long waits - just a nice place. Very casual - nothing fancy but if you want authentic food that tastes great, this is a wonderful place. I've also found that their take-out is really good too - comes hot, timely and not overly-priced. Strongly recommended.”
“Twelvemonth Bakehouse is an absolute gem! 🥐✨ I loved everything I tried. Each bite feels fresh, thoughtful, and made with so much care.
It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back every single day (and honestly, I would if I could!). The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is welcoming, and the quality is just outstanding.
If you love good bread and pastries, this is a must-visit. 💛”
“Looking for something different after our cruise. Centro definitely hit the spot!! Everything was delicious. Great atmosphere and awesome playlist!”

“I’m Thai and my family was in the restaurant business so I know Thai food. Our group of over 10 people dined here today. Food was great. It was a team event so we requested a prix fixe menu and budget control. The restaurant was very responsive and go above and beyond to help us with the arrangements. The menu options was good. We had some vegans in the group and vegan options were good too. Everyone in my team loved it. Thank you for a wonderful evening!”
“Hannah is so amazing! She’s so attentive and checked in on us even before our drinks were on L (bottomless who?!) and on a Wednesday! She has amazing recommendations! But if you’re a beer bottler like me, make sure to have a cocktail list on the roster because they only have 3 beers on rotation 🫠 we also need to help the owner fill up the rest of the liquor shelf!
Suggestions: Sailor Jerry’s: who doesn’t love a good spiced rum?
Buzz ball bash?! Fall is near us and ya need to do some BOO-zie drinks to entice the crowd 👻
NINERS FANS WHO?! The DEEBO Daiquiri will have you bleeding red and gold at the end of the day 🏈 🍹”
“Homemade Korean food (including kimchi!) that tastes very authentic and flavorful, yet healthy. Prices are decent. Loved the ox tail noodle soup.
The owner heard my baby crying and saw I was having difficulty trying to hold her and eat at the same time. She offered to help me carry my baby while I ate and she was able to calm her down, very kind and helpful 😊”
“It was fun going during the soft opening of Palmetto Superfoods in Burlingame (there are other locations in the Metreon, on Union Street, and on Clement Street in San Francisco, with another planned for Santana Row). I learned a lot by speaking with the super friendly and deservedly-proud owner. This location in Burlingame is a really cool little spot diagonally across from Safeway and has a sweet public rooftop sitting area. And I love that everything is plant-based except the honey and bee pollen, but they have a vegan apple honey — which is absolutely delicious — as a superior substitute. Anyway, with a choice of bowls (and smoothies), one could choose a set one on the menu or customize everything with unlimited bases and toppings — as long as it fits in whatever size bowl you choose (yup, I totally went large). I opted for the Bay Blend, but swapped out the strawberries (not really my thing) for toasted coconut flakes (most definitely my thing). The bowl was quickly layered by the friendly employee, who looked like she was excited for her next opportunity to surf, at least in my imagination. From the açaí, pitaya/dragonfruit, and chia pudding on the bottom to the banana and almond butter in the middle to the granola, blueberries, and toasted coconut, etc. on top, it was scrumptious and satisfying. Wanting to try a little more deliciousness, I decided to take a Midnight Beach smoothie to go. Now that I’m gone, I know I’ll be back!”

Cheap Eats
“There is a big parking for at least 20 cars. In the building there is just a line and some menus on the T.V's. You wait you turn and get served slowly but professionaly. They ask some specific questions about your sandwich because you can litteraly order bread and ham on top. Without any toppings or any thing on top. There are outside seating but not a lot.
Tip : come early at 11:30 because after at 12:30 there is a long line”
“Came for the camarones a la diabla (“Devil’s Shrimp”), which they don’t have on the menu but are happy to make it for you. I actually enjoy theirs more than El Farolito! Also HIGHLY recommend their pastor tacos. Their salsa is top-notch, which I am very picky about. So lucky I live two minutes away!
Parking: Park behind if you can’t find on street.”
“Tpumps is a great place to get boba at a decent price. Not too long ago, they raised their prices by 50 cents, which is disappointing but understandable. My go-to at Tpumps is the blackberry peach black tea with boba, and it always hits the spot. The pearl-tea ratio isn't the best, but the drink is still very worth it. I can appreciate the amount of customization this boba place offers, from the long list of flavors, to the many topping choices, to the amounts of sweetness and ice you can request, to the option to add milk. That's what makes it different from the rest. The staff at Burlingame are particularly excellent. A customer once mistook my order for their own and left, and the employees quickly noticed and remade my drink. Overall, a fine boba place, 4/5.”
“We walked here from our hotel and we’re so glad we did! The coffee is amazing - high quality, made with care, unique - and the food is phenomenal. We ordered the frittata breakfast sandwich and added prosciutto. You HAVE to try it - adding the prosciutto is worth it I’m telling you!! It’s even better than it looks in the picture. We wish we had Equator Coffee back home!”
“The photos look legit. Rating was high and I'm in the mood for some ABC style chow mein (the thick round noodle).
The chicken chow mein was not bad. Tons of wok air. I liked the fact that it has lots of vegetables. Decent size noodle. Only thing is, it's a bit too salty and has a little bit of bitter after taste. 澀味. I suspect it's the soy sauce? Could be the salt. Or overcooked soy sauce. Otherwise, it's pretty good.”

“The house salad was amazing, with fresh greens, avocados, sliced almonds, avocado, and the perfect dressing. I added prawns, which were perfectly grilled and seasoned (6).”

“We arrived before our reservation time and they were able to accommodate. Our waiter was great with detailing the dishes and answering my culinary questions. Service was slow. It took nearly 25 minutes to receive cocktails. I had to inquire about appetizers which were ordered with cocktails. The GM was very present and walking the dining area but not speaking to any guests or acknowledging that they are waiting without drinks and food. The food was good. I have a different palate so my good may great for another person. The only negative was how long everything took when it wasn’t a night where there was a full house of guests. If that can improve, we may return. For context we ordered Smoked Bourbon Prickly Pear Margarita Calamari Crab & Artichoke Dip Crab Stuffed Sole topped with roasted garlic and shallot shrimp and a side of mashed potatoes Ribeye with compound butter and Cold Water Lobster Tail We switched from cocktails to wine with the main dish.”

“This is such a cute coffee shop that offers a little bit of everything. The atmosphere is chill and they have an outside patio in the back as well as inside seating but limited. I had their pour over and it definitely delivered with flavor and a good kick. I also tried the very popular Pistachio Einspanner latte and that was really good and now I know why it’s a favorite. The pastries are so cute looking and they pair well with their coffee. I ordered the Hokkaido Cheesecake and it was delish and the perfect size. The baristas are super chill and knowledgeable not to mention they have latte art skills. So if you’re in the area and want good coffee come check it.”
