“Our church, Triedstone MBC, just hosted a luncheon for our leadership team. It was catered by Darrow’s New Orleans Grill. We were very pleased with our experience. The food was delicious. And the service was great! They arrived early. And the food was hot. The owner, Norwood, presented the food with a very appetizing description of each entree. Everyone loved it! Additionally, the portions were very generous. And everyone went back for seconds. At Triedstone, we do everything with excellence. And Darrow’s definitely met the challenge. “If you want to experience a place where the locals actually spend their time, this is it. We were pointed here by someone from the area who told us to skip the crowded tourist spots and check out this neighborhood favorite instead. It ended up being one of the most enjoyable stops of our trip.

The atmosphere is casual, relaxed, and full of character. It has that classic dive bar feel where people come to unwind, catch up with friends, watch a game, or shoot a few rounds of pool. Nothing feels forced or trendy, which is exactly what makes it so appealing.

We kept things simple with a burger, some snacks, and a few drinks. The food was better than expected, and there was a solid selection of beers both on tap and in bottles. Prices were reasonable, portions were satisfying, and service was friendly throughout our visit.

What really stood out was the sense of community. Everyone seemed to know each other, and even as visitors we felt welcomed. By the end of the evening, several regulars were chatting with us and wishing us a good night. It's the kind of authentic local spot that's becoming harder to find and absolutely worth checking out.“

“Been here a bunch of times. Great custom cocktails all their own plus all the classics. They probably have every type of liquor you can think of. Great service--they always hand you a menu as soon as you come in the door. Order your drinks at the bar--might have to work you way between people sitting at the bar. They don't take orders from the seating area, I've seen people leave thinking they are not getting served. Just order at the bar. Good drinks and good wine and beer options too. NOT a great place for large groups.“

However, Camille suggested a couple of dishes for us and they did not disappoint and in fact I would’ve licked the plates if it was publicly appropriate. “Just went to blondies yesterday! Saturday night around 9:30 pm. It's a nice bar! More standing space than seating. There is outside seating but it was taken up when we arrived there and it didn't seem to free up by the time we left.Age range is millennials, maybe some college students.Music is a bit loud if you are trying to have a conversation, but overall its fun! They got games playing and I think you can have lil birthday gatherings there? There was a small birthday hang out when we were there which was really cute.Overall, good bar, would come back.“
