“Our church, Triedstone MBC, just hosted a luncheon for our leadership team. It was catered by Darrow’s New Orleans Grill. We were very pleased with our experience. The food was delicious. And the service was great! They arrived early. And the food was hot. The owner, Norwood, presented the food with a very appetizing description of each entree. Everyone loved it! Additionally, the portions were very generous. And everyone went back for seconds. At Triedstone, we do everything with excellence. And Darrow’s definitely met the challenge. “Was told by a friend “total dive bar, but the experience is 80% why we go”. I have to say, he wasn’t wrong! The “dive bar” is like a second home to me as it’s kind of where we just grew up as kids. As places begin to modernize, the dive bar aspect slowly slips away.

Came here for some quick dinner and wasn’t disappointed. It was insanely busy!! The biggest downside during the busy time was the wait. Wait for drinks, wait for food… etc. However, staff did a pretty good job at trying to keep up with what they had to do.

Burger was $13 and came with a bag of chips. It was good food and hit the spot. Definitely a fun little place to visit… just maybe when it’s not so busy.“

Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. The atmosphere is absolutely incredible, comfortable seating, amazing acoustics, and a pervasive but not overwhelming jazz vibe that really sets this place apart from any other bar in LA. Every seat has a great earshot of the stage, and the drinks (of the few that I’ve had off the enormous menu) have really hit the mark. I highly recommend Sam First if you are looking for a date night, just make sure you don’t talk during the set, or bring friends, family, anyone. We're here for the first time to see how it was. It was fairly empty. I ordered wine. They didn't have any wine, never been to a bar that doesn't have wine. Well, he said they were out. But okay, you could at least go buy some at the store..

Inside there is a pool table.. I think possibly two. It's very spacious, it's just a bad location because the parking sucks.. The whole parking lot has signs that it's reserved for some other business.. There is some parking in the back behind the bar, but it's not a lot..

The service was great. The bartender was very nice and cool. The drinks are not cheap and parking is difficult..“

“Just went to blondies yesterday! Saturday night around 9:30 pm. It's a nice bar! More standing space than seating. There is outside seating but it was taken up when we arrived there and it didn't seem to free up by the time we left.Age range is millennials, maybe some college students.Music is a bit loud if you are trying to have a conversation, but overall its fun! They got games playing and I think you can have lil birthday gatherings there? There was a small birthday hang out when we were there which was really cute.Overall, good bar, would come back.“

“Great spot in Lawndale/Torrance area. Awesome for catching Dodger games. They have plenty of amazing beer on draft. They also offer wine and other hard liquor here. I like the decor they have set up here. Parking can be a pain since its right on Prairie but if you drive into the neighborhood you usually can find a spot. If you like brooklyn bar down hawthorne you'd like this place. Similar vibe.“

“Every time I’ve been at Black bar a very enjoyable experience, it has a wonderful selection of whiskey which I drink. They have wonderful, creative cocktails that I’ve tried and never been disappointed. The pizza is wonderful as well. Please try it. The ladies who run it are very hospitable And will bend over backwards to make your time there something to talk about. Very talented and charismatic bartenders as well.“
