“I've been coming to this place for about 30 years now. It is the place where I first tasted phò. This restaurant cradled a budding foodie, and it continues it's tradition of delicious flavor. I visited it Sunday July 13, 2025. Needles to say I continue to be a fan.
Cash only! They compete for your cash against the Peppermint Rhino in the same strip mall.
The Phò is on point. There are other dishes, the likes of which I cannot pronounce, but they are delicious nonetheless. The staff has changed throughout the years, but it continues to be the same chop chop type of service, after all you came here to eat, not fraternize with the staff.

“stopped by looking for soup, due to upset stomach, ordered chicken wonton and noodles, along with a 2 entree plate. I had chow mein and cha szu pork. both were great. soup fixed me up and they gave a large portion. definitely going back.“

I've been here twice and have tried the fresh shrimp and tofu spring rolls with terrific accompanying sauce, flavorful chicken fried rice, shrimp pho with delicious broth, and the lovely Lychee fruit tea! Yum! Totally coming here again... and bringing more friends. Mangosteen has a clean, modern atmosphere, primarily indoors with a couple of outdoor tables. Friendly and helpful customer service.“

“Found this hidden pho spot in Pico Rivera and was pleasantly surprised! It’s a small restaurant but very clean with a fresh, modern vibe and trendy music. Everything looks new, which made the experience even better.

The server was attentive at the start, though he didn’t come back to check if we needed additional refills. The dumplings were on the smaller side and a bit pricey, but they were packed with flavor and definitely worth trying. The pho itself was hot, delicious, and very satisfying.

“It's a one man band, so it took awhile for us to get our food. You will need patience. But when it comes out, it was so worth it! Next time I'd try calling and order ahead, or order a takeout. There's a lot next door that has zero marking, but you can park there.“

“I wish I had come here sooner! The food is fresh and hot and the staff is very nice. The portions are generous and it was so good I forgot to take pictures.

We did the combo platter appetizer which is a great way to test out two different springs roll (bbq pork and shrimp) and their egg rolls. The shaking beef and the house special fried rice. The bbq pork is a shining star, great char and delicious flavors. No complaints and we will be returning!“

“Was around the area so decided to grab lunch and it wasn't as great as before. We ordered the seafood egg noodle and seafood white noodle, both lacked flavor. I had to add satay sauce to make it taste a bit better. The ice water glasses were dirty as well. I don't know if it's under new owners or new chefs but it wasn't that great. Good thing it was a cheap lunch.“

“Not sure why I haven't left a review for this spot yet l've been here a bunch of times already. They open pretty early, so it's a solid place to grab pho or other Vietnamese eats in the morning.
I usually go for the pho dac biet, but l've also tried the hu tieu and the banh mi xiu mai, which were both pretty decent. Lately, l've been especially into their pho the broth tastes lighter and cleaner (less oily), which I really like.
They also do a great job with their takeout game everything is packed well. Prices are reasonable too, which is probably why I keep coming back. Whenever I'm around El Monte these days, this is my go-to lunch spot.“

“I have been to several Pho places over the years and I have to say Pho A'mie Has the best tasting Pho around hands down! also had plenty of idems in the Pho . Plus they will give you another serving of Noodles. One was excellent for me. They are just a few dollars more than other Pho places. But we'll worth it.“

“When I first arrived to this restaurant, I didn’t see any other diners and was quite hesitant. But soon enough they proved my ‘pre-thoughts’ wrong.
Definitely one of the best Vietnamese home cooked meals at a restaurant in the area. The flavour is so authentic that can transport you back to the Southern of Vietnam (mien Tay) in a bite. We ordered the lunch set for family and cannot fault a thing. It came with canh chua, ca chien, goi tom thit, ca kho, bap cai chua. Flavour was mouth watering and all very good value for money. “This family-owned business usually never disappoints. We love the veggie pho because the broth is vegetable based, not chicken stock. The vegetables are always cooked to perfection and the portions are decent. On our last dining experience, we ordered the vegetable dumplings which came out very quickly. At first bite, I realized they were not vegetable but some kind of meat. While the place was busy, we couldn't find anyone to flag down fast enough before they delivered the correct order because the first one was chicken dumplings. “The mazemen here is soooo good! I tried Mogu Mogu before this and it’s essentially the same thing but I personally think Mazera is better. The chashu is very good not dry and the portion can feed more than one person, especially if you add the rice at the end. I always end up with leftovers which I eat the next day and it’s still nice the next day.“
