“Wow! I had to drive out from Roseville. What a journey. It was worth it though! The tacos are delicious. The presentation is lovely. I already love tacos, but when they look nice for some reason they taste better too. If you're into fancy resorts and places in Cabo, Cancun or somewhere in Mexico, the tacos have the feel, look and taste! I would definitely recommend a visit if you haven't already. I'll be back!“

“Have you ever loved a place so much that you don’t want to share it because if everyone finds out it’ll too busy?!?!? lol It's true! This place is the best! Everything… I mean EVERYTHING on the menu is great! Chilaquiles, wet burritos, tacos, tamales, papusa… it’s all amazing! When you dine in they give your table a plate of chips & beans(I’m not the biggest bean person)…bomb! The people there don’t speak too much English, but enough to take your order. Don’t be scared, they’re the sweetest people! So show your love for one of the best mom & pop restaurants in town.“

“It's the door that is right next to the la Esperanza grocery store and it always has a line it's always busy but it's really worth the wait I always get the chicken burrito and it comes with the beans and rice ECT and it's pretty filling and a decent size and the prices aren't outrageous very affordable. Listen u have like 5 to 10 bucks you're going to get at decent meal breakfast lunch or dinner.“

“The people here are very nice. The burritos are very good with a fantastic portioning of meat and ingredients and perfectly cooked beans, by far the most consistent and traditional burrito I have had in years. The tacos were also very good with limes included. The complimentary salsa was good and tasted homemade and flavorful. I highly recommend this place especially if you're someone who's tired of all the generic uninspired Mexican food around Sacramento, this establishment will be a breath of fresh air and a taste of great food.“

“We have eaten here a handful of times now so I am surprised I haven't reviewed it before as it quickly became a family favorite! This is the type of food that is a good for your soul...everything is beautifully plated with rich flavors and diverse textures. The food is creative while having traditional elements and everything tastes fresh and like real food...no stick to your stomach heaviness. The restaurant has a cool vibe to it with the addition of murals and artwork throughout. And the severs are so friendly and attentive. My only complaint (and it isn't even really a complaint) is that if you want a quick bite to eat...this isn't the place. Be prepared to sit, relax, have a couple of drinks and snack on some chips and salsa while enjoying good conversation and good company while you wait for a delicious meal. I gravitate to the enchiladas blancas. The one time I didn't order it, I ended up getting it halfway through my first entree because I realized I had made a personal dire mistake. My husband always returns to the enchiladas verdes. We are interested in trying the more Italian inspired dishes in the future but when we are craving this restaurant, this is what we return for! The enchiladas blancas are smothered in a creamy white sauce that is absolutely delicious and are stuffed with crispy potatoes. Everything, along with the fresh cabbage, red onion, and crispy little puffs on top, is perfection! It is served with rice and beans (the perfect compliment to any enchilada) and I cannot recommend it enough. Definitely a favorite that we will continue to return to!“

“This place is a historic restaurant that caters to many Sacramento locals. Generally very consistent with their entrees. probably the worst item in their menu is the chips and salsa that arrived on your table. very mediocre. But let's judge this place for their cuisine. They are very proud their entrees are prepared with lard. Yes, that rendered animal by-product that adds so much flavor. So what did we order: 1) chili verde: large serving of very tender pieces of pork in a flavorful sauce. Just a hint of spiciness. the rice and beans are also very good especially the beans which were probably made with lard. very hearty dish that also comes with flour or corn tortillas-but no longer home made. 2) 3 item combo: 2 homemade pork tamales with tender pork filling wrapped in a very moist flavorful masa. What helps these tamales is the homemade tamale sauce. yum yum yum. The accompanying beef quesadilla is also very flavorful with ground beef and cheese and grilled on a flat top. another tasty item The food here is very good. But i also sense my arteries are clogging after having this meal. Be prepared for taking food home because the portions are large.“

“This place has THEE best birria tacos and consome. You’d never believe it’s located in a gas station. The taco shells are dipped in the consome before frying to get that taste and texture. Then they add heaps of beef. And you have to get an order of consome, it’s thick, rich and comes with chunks of beef. It’s practically a beef soup by itself! I really wish this place wasn’t across town from me or I might be visiting a dangerously amount of times. Seriously come here. After having the birria tacos and consome here, I haven’t been able to find another place in Sacramento. The only down side I really don’t like is that blast the music way to loud in there! I get it you want to play music to fit the vibe of your food and that’s all fine, but the noice is just too loud. Atmosphere would be a lot better is they simply lowered the volume.“

“I ordered using their website which was easy and convenient. I got the mangonada chunks, horchata late with almond milk, and the esquite (street corn). Everything was delicious. I would post a picture but I already ate it all. The fruit was fresh and perfect. The corn wasn’t dry. And the latte is my favorite from their menu specifically with almond milk.“

“Best taco place in town hands down. I’ve never had shrimp taco before and I can say this place blew my tastebuds away. Workers were super friendly and helped me with all my questions upon ordering. I also love that there is a selection of different food not just tacos or Mexican. Super clean and simplistic ordering was easy because there was pictures on the side. Definitely recommend the shrimp and fish taco. But if you’re not into seafood they’re other selections are also great. Family owned so it gives you that warm closeness feeling. Disclaimer: They do close at 5pm daily and closed on Sundays“

“Hey let's start with the atmosphere... It's cold at least at this time of the year and the tables, chairs, walls are dated. But then when the food comes out... MAGIC! what an incredibly delicious vegan treat for us. We ordered three different options and each equally incredible.Vegetarian options: If you're vegan or vegetarian then you owe it to yourself to try this out. I give it a 9 out of 10 on the quality and fun of this place.“
“At the corner of Florin and Freeport, on our way home, wondering what we wanted for dinner and like a beacon drawing us in....we turned into a parking spot, ordered al pastor, pollo and suadero tacos, dressed them ourselves and continued home. I must say, we are considering heading back right now to order more tacos and a quesadilla. These are hands down the best street tacos I have had in Sacramento. ???“

“Bright, spotlessly clean restaurant in the newly rebuilt Fruitridge/Fruitridge Manor shopping centre on Stockton blvd. south side of Fruitridge. Delicious food, massive portions.. a notoriously difficult to please family member even loved it. Tried a Birria (marinated shredded beef) Super Burrito last night my second time there and it was great, no skimping on the meats and filled me up completely. (I dont always eat alot but Im capable of being a big eater) One of the two owners always seems to be there and you can easily see how much they care and the effort going in to making a successful restaurant that people will love. Its better than all the pop up street vendors ive tried so far!! Five stars!“

“First time trying this truck and it was a 10/10. We got 4 street tacos (carne asada), a quesabirria taco with spicy and mild red sauce, and a strawberry aqua fresca. Everything was really good. At first I tried the taco by itself and it was a bit dry, but with the sauce and lime juice it was great. (no pics because we ate it all so quick lol)“

“The Hubbs and I took a little trip to Mei Wah beer house in Isleton and seen this place along the delta as we made our way to Sacramento. We decided to stop and try it out and boy oh boy are we happy we did. Absolutely the best tacos ever! Like most street tacos they come with two tortillas, and I love how the outer tortilla of these tacos always has a nice little sear/crunch to them. Making it a nice sturdy taco to pick up and take a bite out of. We've tried the chicken which is shredded, juicy and full of flavor as well as the carne asada tacos which are also fire!! The meat is fresh, tender, and tacos are piping hot/fresh. The salsa can be on the spicy side if your like me and don't prefer spicy, but it's nothing I couldn't handle, I actually love the flavor it adds to the taco and you can wash it down and cool it off with one of their ice cold drinks they have to offer. If your in the area and see the truck try it out and if/when you stop get the taco, but don't just order one because trust me you'll wish you ordered more after trying it and once you've tried it, one will never be enough (wink). I've got to admit that at times the Hubbs and I have actually gone out of our way to enjoy their food again and again.“

“Having stumbled upon Tony's Tacos while out running errands one day, I finally had the opportunity to try their food on a rainy Sunday night. My dad, husband, and I came to Tony's tacos for dinner. The staff were very kind in explaining what some of their most popular items were - with their best seller being their quesabirria. I opted for the quesabirria tacos, which came in an order of three with a side of consommé. My husband ordered the quesabirria burrito while my dad ordered one chicken, one shrimp, and one Carne Asada taco. We all enjoyed the salsa bar - but their salsas do have a kick! The quesabirria tacos were delicious, but I was slightly disappointed by the lack of flavor in the consommé. The tacos by themselves were packed with meat and cheese - the meat was very tender and flavorful. But the consommé left me lacking with no real depth or flavor profile. My dad enjoyed his tacos, and my husband felt that the burrito was tasty, but the way it was assembled had the rice, beans, and meat in entirely different sections, and we're not well integrated.A few minor tweaks, and this could be a five star location for me.“

“Our favorite neighborhood taco spot. The hours are sometimes more of a suggestion that a strict schedule, but service is fast and friendly. My favorites are the tacos de al pastor y buche. My husband also likes their tripas. Their quesadillas are also packed with meat. For those, my daughter loves the carne asada. Their salsas are delicious, especially the avocado one. There's often someone selling aguas frescas or champurrados to round out your meal. Idk how much each taco costs (it doesn't really matter to me though, I love their tacos so much I'll pay whatever they charge me) but this is always an affordable family meal for us. Check it out!“

“We visited this place tonight and I have got to tell you, service is top notch. This family owned establishment got this right for sure, and since there’s no indoor eating, when we got home we ate the best tacos in the Sacramento area by far. “Love this local neighborhood joint! My boyfriend and I went here for a date night and we weren't disappointed. We loved that it was in walking distance and it had a nice patio for outdoor seating to enjoy the weather! I really enjoyed the tacos because I thought they were really authentic. The Vampiro taco was Al pastor with bits of pineapple, which I found refreshing to balance out the flavor. The carne asada taco was good but I think it needed something else on it like guacamole or salsa. I really liked the chips and salsa appetizer that we got because the salsa trio was well thought out: fried jalapeño, chili verde, and red salsa. All of them were homemade, which homemade, which is why I enjoyed them so much! Overall, we will be coming back over the summer!“

“I've definitely been living under a rock. Even friends and family are surprised that I've never been here. I'm disappointed in myself for not trying this out sooner. I was craving carne asada fries and 3 people recommended this place to me. The carne asada fries are hitters. I love the skinny fries and the amount of meat and toppings it had. Typing this makes me want to get it tomorrow, lol. The lady who took our order was very nice as well. My husband asked for extra salsa and she gave us multiple with no charge! How sweet is that. We enjoyed the adobada burrito too! I'm sure everyone already knows they used to be inside the gas station, but now they're just right outside of the shell gas station in their truck! Yeah I know, I'm late. It's cool that you can order ahead of time too and just pick up!“

“Looking for a bite to eat on a Friday night before heading to a show downtown, my dad and I came to East patio Mexicano. I have driven by the spot numerous times and always wondered whether it was good or not. We arrived fairly early on a Friday night and by the time we left the entire restaurant was completely full. The service was extremely fast and friendly. The complementary chips and salsa to start were very tasty, and we placed an order of guacamole to accompany it. The guacamole was fresh and quite delicious. For my entrée, I decided to try the cheese and jalapeño tamales while my dad ordered one of the shrimp dishes. The cheese and jalapeño tamales were delicious and had the perfect level of spice from the jalapeños. My dad thoroughly enjoyed his shrimp dish as the shrimp were juicy and succulent. The sauce they were served in was quite flavorful. Given its location, the price, and the portions, this is definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in East Sacramento.“
