“Having not been here for a long time, I decided to pay a visit to this well-established pizza joint. In the past, I recall Golden Boy being one of the best slice places in the Bay Area. The menu hasn't changed at all.

I ordered plain cheese and a slice of pesto. Despite a line of close to 10 people, the order was ready quickly. The staff definitely works efficiently.

The cheese slice was not great and seemed like it needed to be warmed for a few more minutes. The pesto was in fact, not pesto, it turned out to be a slice of combination that was cooked too long. The bottom crust of the pizza was too hard and crunchy.

Honestly, I'm disappointed in the quality of the pizza. I remember it being much better. Maybe it was just an off day?“

“The pizza is splendiferous! It's truly the best pizza I've ever had. It's crunchy, good size and not greasy. The atmosphere is homey and friendly. The artwork and drawings on the walls adds to it. The cherry on top is the owner! He's passionate and friendly to all. The perfect place for lunch.“

“Came here on a whim with someone who recommended it. Really nice thin crust pies; they’ll do half and half for you even if one side has arugula on top and the other doesn’t. The ingredients used are quality, and they cook the crust just right - browned and bubbly. They have a full bar which is nice for a pizza joint. The atmosphere is quirky, loved it. “As a Turkish who’s been living in the Bay Area for a long time, I have to say this is easily the BEST LAHMACUN and TURKISH PİDE I’ve had around here!!!

You can order the lahmacun spicy or not (which is amazing) and the dough is exactly how it should be; thin, crispy, and loaded with toppings, just like in Turkey. We later noticed they had pastırmalı pide on the menu and immediately had to order one, especially after finding out the pastırma actually comes from Turkey.

Three of us shared two lahmacuns and one pide and it was more than enough. Everything was fresh and seriously delicious.

The hospitality also deserves a mention. The team was incredibly warm and attentive, and they even offered us tea, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic.

And if you’ve never tried şalgam before, they have it here too. Definitely give it a try!“

Excellent PINSA — expect more dough (very fresh and tasty) and a different size perfect for sharing over a glass of wine. I tried their carbonara pinsa, and I it was nothing short of amazing.
