“After a invigorating hike at the Hawk Hills in San Francisco, my family and I sought the perfect culinary reward, and we found it at Tony's Pizza Napoletana. Nestled in the heart of the city, this eatery is a haven for pizza enthusiasts, and our experience left us craving more. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Piccante pizza, a fiery masterpiece that catered perfectly to my love for spice and bold flavors. Loaded with banana peppers and serranos, each bite delivered a tantalizing kick that awakened the taste buds. The addition of fresh mozzarella elevated the pizza to divine heights, balancing the heat with creamy perfection.Despite visiting on a bustling Sunday afternoon, we were pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the waitlist system on Yelp. Within no time, we were ushered to our seats, ready to embark on our culinary journey. Our waiter, ever attentive and friendly, kept us informed about the status of our pizza, ensuring a seamless dining experience.Tony's Pizza Napoletana offers more than just great food; it embodies the essence of authentic Italian pizza culture. From the warm hospitality to the expertly crafted pies, every aspect of our visit was a testament to their commitment to excellence. In conclusion, for anyone craving an unforgettable pizza experience in San Francisco, Tony's Pizza Napoletana is a must-visit destination. “What a fantastic place. I wanted to try this place for specifically its cupping pepperoni and I was not disappointed. The people behind the bar that night were so friendly, were hustling to get all their drinks made, gave just enough space and attention for us to enjoy our meal and chat while attending to everything else. We got both their pepperoni and the potato pesto pizza to try and loved it. Their crust is perfectly leopard spotted, not too thick, didn't overload the pizza with toppings, and used great ingredients. The pepperoni pizza was loaded with it and had a nice spicy/garlicy undertone. As for the drinks, we got a Shirley temple and a Bunny Hop cocktail which hit the right balance of interesting botanicals. We ended the night with a not too sweet but extremely moist chocolate cake and some of the best pistachio gelato we've tried. Not only was the pistachio on top but also mixed into the dessert. It had all the complexities you'd expect. Their bathroom is clean, their art decor is cute, their music taste is nice, and you can see them making the pizzas right there. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be coming back.“

“Our favorite neighborhood place. Pizza is delicious and fun. Everything on the menu is good. Really good. Smash burger night? Still good. And don't get me started on those morning bagels. Wow. Both cannoli and olive oil cake are great... Listen, this place is great, ok?My recommendation is to come early, grab a beer and a pizza, and then head on to a movie at the Balboa. What a fantastic combo.“

“Super yummy pizza at a pretty great price. Only thing stopping from a five star is the combo slice was a little soggy from being over topped w/ veggies (tomato slice, zucchini, mushrooms, onions). Definitely stick with the classic pepperoni.“

“Took a while to get a table and there’s not much seating inside, but we got the coziest little table by the kitchen. The spicy tomato pizza is insanely good! The rosemary pizza was solid but I felt that it needed more salt. Staff and vibe are great. Highly recommend“

“I've been going to Tartine Manufactory for lunch for a while now (and the original Tartine for even longer). I'm pleased to see that they've added dinner service and made an excellent job of it. Everything was great, from the cocktails to the starters to the pizza.“

“Pinsa Rossa is absolutely amazing! Their appetizers, salads, and, of course, the pinsas with their crunchy, flavorful crusts are all top-notch. Ken and his team have done an incredible job creating a dining experience that’s simply outstanding!Dietary restrictions: My daughter, a brand new lactating mom who can’t consume lactose products, asked for a pinsa with vegan cheese, and we couldn’t tell the difference, it was great!Parking: There’s parking available half a block away from the place.“

“Hands down the best pizza place I've had in SF. The service here is amazing and the pizza reminds me of NY, pretty comparable to slice of NY in South Bay too. One of the workers, who I think is the owner is super friendly and generous. Even though it's in the TL it's kind of on the outskirts near Bill Graham and Civic Center so it's not super sketchy coming here. Slices are thin crust and come out super crispy when they serve them.“

“A place on 24th St., the salvation to have a coffee, eat a good sandwich, have a beer and if you like everything Italian you will find it here! The guys are very friendly and the owner can't even speak of, I really liked it, I recommend it!“

“Holy Cow!! What a great place! Wonderful old school ambience. Great food. Great drinks! Great service from the wonderful Rowan! Up here from LA to visit my son who's in grad school and wanted some great Italian. Did some research and ended up here. Started with drinks - a great Manhattan and then some good wine. Great Anti-pasta dish and then a massive cast iron baked Old Chicago pizza. Unbelievably great! In a city of great Italian restaurants Capo's stands out!!“

“I'm surprised pizza could be this killer. I went out of my way enroute to the airport to try this pizza with all the fixins. I expect to come here everytime I decide to fly in/out of SF at any cost. Thank you for the amazing pizza.Selection and varieties and sizes on tap were icing on a very wonderful pie.“

“Ragazza is a solid spot on Divis! We made a reservation for Sunday night but showed up a little earlier and managed to snag a table. The spot was pretty busy, plenty of small tables including booth and no booth seating. It looked like they had a patio at the back as well, but hard to tell from inside. We got three apps and two pizzas for three of us; the arancini, beet salad, and burrata (which also turned out to be a salad with all the arugula it came with.) The burrata was my favorite by far; so creamy and with some really beautiful cara cara orange pieces. The beet salad had plenty of beet pieces, and the arancini were just fine - I would skip next time. We got the moto pizza and mushroom pizza for our vegetarian friend. We asked for calabrian chiles on the mushroom one, but neither pizza seemed to have any taste of them (including the moto, which should come with it.) The outside crust (the part you hold) was really chewy, had some great char on it and just bready enough. Unfortunately would echo other reviews; the middle of the pizza crust is just so thin that it gets soggy really quickly. I had to eat my second slice with a fork and knife because upon picking it up the toppings immediately slid off. It was still tasty but not a perfect pizza or anything. We ordered tiramisu at the end and that had good texture, plenty creamy, but was a little one-note. That said, I liked the ambience of the spot a lot, and I think the prices were fine for the vibes and quality of ingredients. I would come back with friends if I wanted some Italian in the neighborhood!“

“All I could think about was a hot bowl of tortellini soup, a simple salad with right out of the oven french bread, and Flour + Water was the spot! Old Greener Gage, Basker Hobbins and I took the Pilot House 70 miles out to the Cordell Bank and another 30 or so all the way to the Gumdrop lookin for Blue Fin Tuna. Left civilization about 2am and hit the temp brake in blue water about sun up. We musta pulled every plug in the box with no takers, had grilled cheeseburgers for lunch and even shot some clay targets...but no fish! Pulled into Battleship Row, tied her up tight, cleaned up some and headed straight to Flour + Water, and I got that Tortellini soup I was thinking about all day. It was Amazing!5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“We are always looking for good cacio e pepe and this place definitely won us over! This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in the city. The restaurant is so cute and intimate and perfect for date night. The service was great and the staff is super nice and helpful. We ordered the black pepper bucatini and the nor-sting-ya pizza. The pasta and the pizza were so good! This is one of the best cacio e pepes I've ever had. I love that they use bucatini noodles. The pizza was bomb and spicy! This will be our go to whenever we end up in the Marina.“

“This is more about the management side of things. I honestly didn’t have the BEST experience with them on my last order. BUT, they went out of there way to fix things. They are new in Oakland, just getting the operation together and I’m happy to see them there. They aren’t the cheapest but, I don’t want the Dominoes or Pizza Hutt experience (or quality) and if I pay a little extra for food, I want good service to follow. In the end, they offered great service. I’m impressed.“

“Opened my pizza boxes and was stunned at some of the most beautifully made pizza's i have ever seen my entire life. i would consider them a works of art - the fullness of all the ingredients, the way they were intentionally laid out, combined with all the color....and we could have a possible michelin star pizza. we ordered the butter chicken pizza and the combo pizza. the butter chicken was slight spicy but not too powerful. the dough had a crisp edge and bottom with an airy interior. so good. the combo had a fantastic amount of meat and veggies... and the crust was the just as amazing. run by a nice family who took our order over the phone. had it ready to go when we arrived. great service. thank you mr singh's for beautiful and very tasty pizza's~“

“the pizza was to die for, absolutely loved the sauce on the margarita! highly recommend the cauliflower as well. Only negative was that we went on a very crowded friday evening (with reservations) and the service wasn't the best, and it was extremely loud inside the restaurant“

“Nice ambience, solid friendly service. I'd come here again. Good for a date night. Extensive wine list, would order the margarita pie next time.Skip the castelvetrano olives, nothing special. Chicken liver crostini was solid, good ratio of liver to toast, and the little radish and olive on the plate was nice. You do taste the liver though, don't get me wrong.Gnocchi with nettle pesto was very good, nice texture on the gnocchi, not too firm or bouncy. Pesto and fonduta were rich, the chanterelles adds needed textural and flavor contrast. Pizza with fungi was solid but I'd recommend the margherita next time for more contrast with the acid of the tomatoes. The crust is really good here, nice chew, solid base with a little droop. The fungi pizza was just a little one note with the richness from the cheese and a little savoriness from the mushrooms, missing some acid for freshness for balance.Market price on the 1lbs roasted snapper (other option was sea bream) was $42. Nice firm flesh and they remove the central bone in advance. The preserved Meyer lemon on the side was only ok, the parsley sauce was better, the grilled scallions quite good. We picked the cabbage with bagna cauda for our side - great execution/char on the cabbage, the sauce was savory without tasting fishy at all with some crouton/crispy breadcrumbs for contrast. Highly recommend the cabbage.Buttermilk panna cotta nailed the texture but my table mates commented that it just felt like Greek yogurt given the tang and that's fair. It's hard to get the passion fruit on the spoon so it's a bit of a waste. For the brown butter gelato and blood orange sorbet to, the gelato was better imo, more depth of flavor, quite dense, but it overall tasted more milky like a fior di latte with just a touch of nutty brown butter at the end. I wonder if they add more milk solids to the butter to bump that up. Blood orange could have been more orange-y, get some oil extraction of the peels or something.“

“i came here on a friday evening with a friend around 5:45 pm. there was no line so we were seated immediately. when we left an hour later, there was a line. we came during restaurant week and they were doing a $45/person dinner menu, but i opted to just order from the regular menu since i wasn't a big fan of the appetizer options and really wanted to try the bucatini, which wasn't on the restaurant week menu. when our food arrived, the portions seemed slightly on the smaller side so in retrospect i felt like it would've been nice to get an appetizer to share, but none of the appetizer options were that appealing to me. i like burrata but it came with mushrooms and i don't like mushrooms (this is just a personal preference, though). even though the portions were small, i wasn't hungry but i also wasn't full, which left plenty of room for dessert. we ordered the nutella sundae - it felt a bit much for 2 people (3 is probably a better number), and there was a LOT of syrup. as for the ambiance, the biggest impression i got was that the music was pretty loud. this made the atmosphere not conducive to intimate conversations, so i would mostly go here if i wanted a fast dinner at an early time. otherwise, i feel that the atmosphere is not worth the wait.“

“Wow, this place does not disappoint - so good! I've been a few times and tried many different pizzas. I appreciate that they offer different kinds of pizzas, so there's something for everyone. For me, the most memorable one was the Chopped Cheese Detroit - a Detroit-style pizza that really tastes like a McDonald's cheeseburger - I don't know how they managed that! It's such a unique flavor and something you probably won't find anywhere else. The Fried Cheese Curds are also a must - perfectly crispy and melty cheese! The space is casual and easygoing. The service has always been attentive and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone who loves pizza, especially unique-tasting pies.“

“I have to start by saying that it’s been quite a while that I’ve had such good Italian food. The taste is so balanced and full of flavors across the board. The menu selection is very wide, based on the dishes we enjoyed, this place needs several visits, I wish I was in town longer. Here’s what we had:Instalata con Endivia Belga e Prosciutto, this is a special dish outside the menu, but very refreshing and light. Our mains were the Fettuccine Carbonara, the Linguine con Cozze e Vongole, the Gnocchi di Patale, and the Pollo alla Parmigiana with a side pasta. Guys, the above is not in any particular order of taste, the food was seriously amazing, this place should definitely be on any Italian food lover’s list.Hope you would be able to visit, and enjoy San Francisco ?.Oh, and the by the way, the service is the cherry on top, it was a pleasure for us meeting Charles and chatting about our menu options.“

“This was a fabulous Italian restaurant in the marina! Unfortunately, you can't make a reservation before hand so you need to queue on the yelp waitlist. However, if you're flexible the wait time is not too bad. We were a party of 3 looking for seating on a Saturday around 8 and waited about 30 mins. Besides this, the restaurant is adorable with beautiful dish wear and cute decor. We got some white wine for the table which was delicious and the waiter was great with recommendations. I ordered the bolognese which was so flavorful and the pasta was perfectly cooked. However, I do wish there was an option for more cheese on the pasta. We finished our meal with complimentary lemon gelatos which were very refreshing. Highly recommend Casado Osteria for your next date night or dinner with friends!“

“These slices were hitting! I ordered 4 different slices to try a little bit of eveything. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything in their menu. But a slice is so easy and convenient. I would honestly say their pepperoni pizza was the best! I love that they aren't shy and just like on the pepperoni! Each bite was meaty and cheesy. They were crazy busy but worth the wait! Honestly pricing was very reasonable and service was good. Super chill and easy! Loved the vibes here, I will be back forsure!“

“Perfect Italian authentic restaurant when enjoying North Beach neighborhood. zor my friends birthday I got us tickets to dear San Francisco, which is a wonderful show at Club Fugazi just 3 blocks away from this great restaurant! Paolo took wonderful care of us. His wine, suggestions and appetizer and entrée tips were the best! The pasta is homemade and very delicious and special. We tried the gnocchi with pesto, as well as a delicious braised meat, red sauce over fresh linguine. We also enjoyed the grilled (not fried) octopus. The tiramisu for dessert was perfect! “I liked Za a lot - they have a new york style pie (so, thin) and a cornmeal crust. You have to like that sort of thing, and know how to eat it - newbs let it cut their mouth and cry about it. “My friends and I visited on a Wednesday night for SF restaurant week! We booked a reservation a few days before through their site. We were seated quickly in their upstairs area, which was half inside half outside with roof cover and heaters. We decided to order 2 of their SF restaurant week set courses, and 1 other entree on the side. Appetizers - Arancini Al Parmigiano, Fava Bean Crostino Entrees - Asparagus Pie, Salsiccia Pie, Rigatoncini Al Bolognese Classico Desserts - Guittard Chocolate Budino, Lemon Almond Cake Everything was delicious and so flavorful - we loved that the pizzas were thin crust and the pasta texture was perfect! Our favorites were the Aracini appetizer and the Salsiccia pizza. The Asparagus Pie was interesting -- we learned that we weren't asparagus on pizza people but really enjoyed the garlic cream sauce base. The desserts were refreshing after all of the pizza and pasta, some much needed sweet treats! Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner here and noticed that it was pretty packed for a Wednesday night. Loved the friendly servers as well!“

“Excellent spot.Found the staff to be on point. Everything was on time, waitress was very knowledgeable and had good recommendations but didn't pressure.Food was excellent. Really no complaints. We had the salumi, pea salad, pizza, and cheesecake. Nothing missed. Prices are typical for peninsula (high) but the quality is there to back it up.We sat inside and it was noisy with loud misic, and the large screen TV at the bar was maybe unnecessary. So not a romantic spot but more for a night out with friends or family with older kids. Will definitely come back ASAP!Parking: Right next to large San Mateo city parking garage. Took a while to find a spot but it's free after 6 and there are plenty of spots, you just have to look for a bit since it's such a big lot.“

“Food: we ordered the happy hour eats, $10 each: Fava Bruschetta, Meatballs, Pizzetta Margherita, and Pizzetta Prosciutto The meatballs in spicy tomato sauce did not taste spicy at all. The sauce was still delicious though, and the meatballs were seasoned well, juicy, and tender. I would absolutely get it again. The Fava Bruschetta is made with fava beans, mascarpone, mint, oregano, lemon, & pecorino. The balance between the creamy spread, zesty citrus, and fresh with mint, paired very well with the meatballs. This was an unexpected favorite of mine. My one critique is that it was so difficult to cut, we had to enlist the strongest in our group to help the rest of us cut it into shareable pieces. The Pizzetta Margherita is made with marinara & basil, a classic. Nice balance between sweet and savory. The Pizzetta Prosciutto is made with panna, mozzarella, arugula, parmesan. I really enjoyed the flavor of the prosciutto. I would order both of these pizzettas again. For drinks, I ordered an Aperol Spritz and a Sbagliato. The aperol spritz was perfectly balanced between sweet and dry. Very light and crisp. Props to the bartender! The Sbagliato hit a bit on the drier side, although it was still pleasant and paired well with the food. Service: excellent service, there was never a time where we had to search & wait for our server. Possibly one of the best service I have received during happy hour. Our servers were all very attentive and would take a plate as soon as it was empty. Ambiance: My group and I went at the beginning of happy hour and while it started off relatively empty, it filled up fast! Plenty of seating for smaller groups, the staff kindly accommodated our group of 5 by placing smaller tables for 2 together. By 6pm it was pretty much full. There was a very positive energy I was picking up from the staff. Overall, a great vibe for happy hour! Would definitely return.“

“The only complaint I would have is that the music was annoyingly loud. Everyone had to talk over it, which made the restaurant loud and at9pm there were only six tables. “Napizza is one of my favorite “go-to” restaurants in SF.Their quality of food is 10/10.Their service and attentiveness is 10/10.Their wine list is a 10/10 (primarily Italian reds).I have brought many friends from out of town and guests here to eat, as its ambiance is one of coziness, its intimate (in terms of its size), and fun (they tend to play music towards the evening depending on the crowd / customer vibe).Do go check it out, and don’t hold back on trying different things on their menu!P.s. “I have been grabbing pizza from here from time to time and they never failed to make a great 4-cheese white sauce pizza. Reminds me of what my mom picked up back in North Carolina when I was a kid. Ordered on the phone today and the guy accidentally heard “Portuguese” instead of 4 Cheese. They had both on the menu, I had no idea so I felt bad! Thankfully he did not charge for another pizza and actually upgraded me to a bigger size. He let me try the Portuguese slice too. Great place, food, and service!!“
