“We have been going to Pizetta for too many years to count now. Always yummy, craveable pizzas and interesting starters - not your ordinary starters. They are ever-changing and highlight whatever was freshest from the farmer's market. Don't forget the desserts which include always-available options as well as specials. They can get busy (because they are just that good) but, we think, it's well worth the wait. Wish they'd open other locations but understand the desire to stay small and true to their roots.“

They are new in Oakland, just getting the operation together and I’m happy to see them there. We actually came to this neighborhood intending to eat somewhere else but were enticed by the promise of pizza dough that is allowed to rise for 72 hours and is thus more light and crispy. That's a big promise, but these guys DELIVER! This could very well be the best pizza (or pinsa) we have ever had in our lives. It was amazingly light and crisp. Without exaggeration, this was actually better than anything we had in Rome. We had the heavenly mushroom and margarita pizzas, which were both delicious (but we preferred the mushroom pizza by a hair).

“From the food, to the service, to the personal attention from the owner and pastry chef, this place was spot on. We were looking for an Italian dinner and saw their menu online. We walked two miles to get there. We had the best Greek salad with the freshest feta weve ever had. The portions were huge and the prices were very fair. I come from an Italian family and I wish they were with me for this experience. Great neighborhood and just a super experience all around. Will try to go again. I never write reviews so here you go.“

“The first time I tried pizza from Golden Boy I was amazed! Honestly, it was the best pizza I ever had - & I'm Sicilian. I know good pizza! However, the last 2 times we got pizza from this location, the service was below acceptable, and one of the pizzas made us ill. Three days ago, my husband ordered a pizza and was told it would be ready in 20 mins. When he arrived to pick it up, he had to wait an additional 20 mins for it to be ready. While he was waiting, a customer returned to the counter to inform them that they gave him the wrong pizza. This prompted my husband to check the pizza before he left. They forgot to double cut it (as requested). The time before that, we requested light sauce, but it tasted like they added extra. Both of us had an upset stomach for 2 days afterward. I dont think it was due to extra sauce - but we're certain it was the pizza because I had a piece when I felt better and became ill again. Hopefully these were one-offs & next time it will be back to the greatness we have come to love!“

“i’m visiting from new york city and my vegan friend raves about this place so here we are.. let’s start with the excellent service, cassidy was very kind and accommodating. the other employees were very efficient and friendly. the ambience was delightful. one of my favorite parts was how they brought out napkins with every dish. as a messy eater this is HUGE for me. the food was so delicious and coming from a new yorker that should hold a lot of weight. literally a 10/10 experience i can’t wait to eat here again when i come back next month i wanted to try everything on the vegan menu. truly an incredible restaurant. thank you so much for existing !
