One time we went and they didn’t even have chocolate or vanilla at all! But still, overall their frozen yogurt is amazing! “Extremely cheap food and ice cream, great service, but slow and unsanitary.

Tom, the owner, is 89 years old and has been running the business for decades. The prices here are exceptionally low, with a cup of ice cream costing $5 and a sandwich costing $4.50. The catch is that you'll have to wait for a while and he does not wash his hands between handling cash and food.

My sandwich, served with tortilla chips and potato salad, was so-so, but excellent value for the price. It took nearly 10 minutes to make the sandwich though.“

“The matcha here is really consistent. I’ve been several times since they’ve opened and I’ve always been happy with my drink! I especially love their peach matcha latte (seasonal). Their hojicha latte is already pretty good. Their soft serve is also really good and the matcha one has a very strong flavor. The line to order with a cashier tends to be shorter than the kiosk and sometimes peopme don’t realize that there are 2 separate lines. Would definitely recommend!“

“We came across this adorable little ice cream truck, selling ice cream, cookies, and brownies. This place has a fun menu, where you can build your own custom ice cream sandwich, or order the ingredients (ice cream, cookies, and brownies seperatly). We ordered the combo, where we got a choice of a cookie, ice cream and a brownie on the bottom. We got fudge as a topping, the cookie monster cookie, toasted s'mores ice cream, and the brownie on the bottom (no special brownie flavors). The cookies are soft and tasty, and we actually bought some cookies later, simply because of how good they tasted. The ice cream tasted really good too, sweet and smores-like. The brownie was a little bit hard, but the ice crean melted and softened the brownie, and allowed for a more chewy bite, but at first it was definitely a little hard to chew into. The service was friendly and efficient. Outside the ice cream truck, there is some outdoor seating where you can eat while you have a view of the pier. I highly suggest getting some cookies and/or ice cream here, especially the cookies n cream cookie, and cookie monster cookie. Good place to get some ice cream and cookies at the pier! (And make your own ice cream sandwich!)“

“I used to get Yomie’s in SoCal, and it was a yummy alternative to boba when I wanted something different. The yogurt smoothies at the North Beach location taste pretty similar but seem to be blended a little thicker. I got the passion fruit smoothie with less sugar and purple rice as a topping, and it was very filling. Definitely recommend as a drinkable snack.“

“We tried two Ghirardelli cups — one with the Dubai topping and strawberries, and the other with the Dubai topping and ice cream. Both were delicious! The Dubai topping is very rich and intense, while the ice cream gives a nice balance.

I think the perfect combination would be strawberries, Dubai topping, and ice cream together — it would be lighter and more balanced. Overall, a very tasty dessert experience!“

I didn't ask, but I think they make the cones in-house. Anyway, strange combination, I know. The mango was immediately delicious but I think I messed up combining the two because when it came time for the hazelnut, I was too full to truly enjoy the depth of flavor. Next time, I'll get it to take home. I love the location, it's in one of my favorite areas of San Rafael with shopping, good food and entertainment in abundance. He's been running the place for 40 years. We talked about the history of the establishment and how he got into the gelato business. No rudeness and delicious gelato.
