Every dish was delicious, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. The smoked ones were particularly delightful. The service was excellent, and we had a great time overall.“

“I have ordered sushi from here many times and it’s always the best. It can be hard to find sushi places that are consistent in quality and taste but Maki Yaki is always consistent in both! The staff is also very kind. I absolutely love this place and their food!“

“Drove by this place on the way to laguna and it just looked so good we had to try. It was a little busy inside, but no line. It made me notice that there was only 1 girl taking orders and making the ice cream and the place was quite small, so a rush there has got to be bad. Then I saw it.... taro ice cream. I LOVE taro, and to see it in an ice cream is pretty rare so I was beyond hyped. Prices were definitely steep, but given the location it makes sense. I got a taro milkshake, and it came out to 9 dollars. My wife got a double chocolate with chocolate syrup, all toppings cost extra so hers was about 8 dollars.

The service was good, nothing to write home about. And it's ice cream so it came out pretty quick. My taro milkshake was very good, the taro flavor was all there and it wasn't overbearingly sweet. My wife on the other hand, who is obsessed with chocolate, didn't really like her ice ream. She said it was way too rich in flavor. I took a bite and yeah, very rich. Something I wouldn't be able to finish. Worker also gave her barely any chocolate syrup, which I don't think she actually charged me for which is nice but if she did, that would be a waste cause there was only like a small drizzle.

As soon as we got our ice cream, there was an entire kids baseball team, at least 20 people, with a line out the door and only 1 person to serve them AND make the ice cream. And they offer samples so you already know it's gonna take forever because everyone is gonna be trying flavors and being indecisive. I'm sure there was maybe someone in the back who was doing other things, but if there is not.. that is awful staffing and the business should be more considerate of their employees.“

“The service at Thai This is beyond compare, every employee there is friendly, helpful, and helps to create a great experience whether eating in to-go. We walked in to order to-go food and they seated us and brought us bottled water, again, service beyond compare. Now to the food, the Crispy Noodles (#1) are to die for...makes a great dessert. The Nutty Noodles chicken (#54) were great, and the Kiss Me Not garlic pork was so flavorful. They also included some tempura vegetables which were super yummy. So if you're looking for yummy food, at a great price, and with incredible service, Thai This should be your next dinner night out.“

“Consistently Fantastic Brunch Spot Near the Marriott!

Every time we stay at the Marriott Laguna Cliffs in Dana Point, we make a point to walk over to What A Dish for brunch, and it never disappoints. The outdoor seating is charming and relaxed, perfect for soaking in the coastal vibe.

This visit was no exception, the food was absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was spot-on, flavorful, and came out quickly. You order at the counter, but don’t let that fool you, the service is top-notch. The staff was incredibly attentive, regularly checking in to top off coffee and water, and making sure we had everything we needed.

What really impressed me is how consistently every staff member went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Everyone had a smile, and the whole experience gave off warm, happy vacation energy. You do tip at the time of ordering, which can be a gamble at some places, but here the service went above and beyond. Honestly, one of the best service experiences I’ve had anywhere. This is how it should be handled everywhere.

I really appreciated them working with my customisation of making it a veggie chimichanga, however, I wish they have a side of the rice and beans which would normally be in there. Other than that, I think the overall food tasted good. We also liked their drinks, we tried the Spicy Mango and the michelada. This was a cute date spot, definitely on the little pricer side bht still good.“

Absolutely phenomenal Thai food! This place exceeded all my expectations from the warm, welcoming service to the explosion of flavors in every dish. We ordered the Pad Thai and platter sample - everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.

You can tell they use fresh ingredients and put real heart into their cooking. The staff was so kind and attentive, even offering recommendations based on our spice preferences. Cozy atmosphere, fair prices, and generous portions - what more could you ask for?

“Love the O.J., Croissant with Cheesy Omelette and Quiche was pretty good. Also tried the Custard filled pastry and Marble pound cake next day. This location was a much better experience compared to the Newport Beach location, employee here was friendly, helpful and smiled, which made us want to come back.

“Ordered sushi take out from Gen Kai later in the evening. It was ready in 20 minutes - service was also very friendly. The food was very fresh and so delicious. California rolls, tuna rolls, salmon rolls, and cucumber rolls were all hearty and had plenty of fish/stuffing. The tuna and salmon came with cucumber and avocado, something that is often an add on other places. The portions were very good and 2 rolls felt like a real meal not just an appetizer!! The rice was tender and, again, it was all super fresh. Thank you for a wonderful take out meal to eat at a scenic overlook!!“

They have a large indoor dining room with a bar but every time I’ve been here it’s rather sedate. The outdoor patio is where it’s at. They have a full bar, TV’s, sports, vibes, and all the goods. We did get nachos which are pretty basic but good. To reiterate, just go for the bar and booze.“
