“My boyfriend and I got the omakase but to be honest it was not worth it, the food tasted great but you can get almost the exact same course by ordering the 10 piece nigiri from the menu for half of the price. The atmosphere is nice but not appropriate for a traditional omakase. Highly recommend, just save your money and skip out on the omakase.“

Tried their pork Katsudon set (you have a choice between pork or chicken also) and the pork upon first bite was juicy and meat was very tender. Outside katsu was crunchy, the pork is lean and didnt have any fat too. Miso soup and cabbage salad was fresh and not instant, I would visit this place again. 5 stars??“

“I had this place twice now and can say both times their sushi and sashimi were great quality. They were well prepared with a clean appearance. As we got takeout, we got some nicely wrapped utensils and all the condiments we needed.I got the assorted chefs sushi box with 9 pieces of sashimi and additionally some seared salmon nigiri. Literally every piece was fresh. I enjoyed every single piece and HAD to tell my boyfriend how good it was. The eel wasn’t too fishy and had a great charred taste. The crab meat was juicy and delicious. There was a big piece of tamago and the flavor was well balanced with a sweet and slightly umami taste. When I finally got to the seared salmon I was amazed at the depth of flavor and the amazing texture of the salmon slightly cooked on the outside.I highly recommend this set and have only gotten great quality food here. Great job to the chefs who made my sushi, I thoroughly enjoyed it!“

“My husband and I came for a date night, and it was perfect! The inside is decorated in a cozy, cute manner, and our server was super kind and attentive. Most importantly, the sushi was delicious! I recommend trying the rainbow roll. It was soooo good and gave us the opportunity to try a few different fish. For dessert, I had a red bean taiyaki, which had the perfect balance of sweetness to end the meal! Sadly, I forgot to take good photos of the food, but that is because everything tasted so amazing that it slipped my mind!! We will for sure be coming back to try more!“

“A friend who frequents this establishment brought me for lunch today with another friend. Being a vegetarian I was impressed by the selections I would love to try. I ended up ordering the salmon, scallop, spinach cream pasta with capers. It was delicious! My friends ordered the pork katsu and hamburger combo and it looked awesome. The portions are so generous and it comes with soup and salad for the combo and mine came with a small salad and homemade bread. And the family run restaurant is very service oriented, friendly and a very clean and comfortable place. Highly recommended“

“no frills, no fuss, just wonderfully cozy comfort food. i can’t tell you how many times i’ve come here, but my order’s nearly always the same: combo with tonkatsu and broiled mackerel, served with a bowl of rice and miso soup, and more than enough to last me two meals. hope this gem stays forever.

“I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and placed a large order. One of the items ordered was the chicken teriyaki bento box. Everything item on the plate was freshly made and delicious. There were 4 pieces of tempura veggies and 4 pieces of California roll. The chicken teriyaki bowls were just as fresh and contained an ample amount of chicken and rice. The owner was kind and gracious and friendly. An additional plus for that. This is a great place to go for sushi. The California rooll and the spicy tuna roll we ordered we delicious. I look forward to my next visit so that I can try the ramen. Hope you all give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.“

We ordered one yuzu custard pastry (subtle flavor, not very sweet, great texture and flakiness), a hot Amai con panna (a nice cinnamon and cream espresso) and another cold drink I cannot remember the name of (but it is the one pictured here) both drinks were nice but just a heads up they are super sweet. The minimal and sleek interior design is unique and has a few seats. “Came here for lunch because my dad saw an ad on Facebook for the $9.99 September special, lol. We were a bit confused at first, because we drove to the old Sushi Boy location and didn’t see it anymore. (It’s been years since we went to this area.). Then we looked up Kozo Sushi online and found this place.

Plenty of parking in the shared lot was nice. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was very weak and the heat from today was unbearable for my toddler to be in the restaurant for too long, so we took our food to go eat in Del Amo Mall instead.

The Bento Box is a great deal, and the food is delicious and very filling for a meal. My mom said that there was too much rice, but you kind of need the rice to make it filling.

Everything was fresh and the rice was nice and soft and perfectly seasoned. I was surprised that the white fish nigiri was fully cooked, but I preferred it that way because usually it tends to be kind of tough and rubbery with a smell when it is raw.

The chicken was nice and tender and not overly seasoned. The shrimp in the tempura was tender, but the shrimp in the nigiri was kind of tough—as it usually is in other places.“

Utahs food is boring, bland and flavorless. Found this spot as I was rolling through Long Beach and decided to stop. The lady at the counter was super nice and welcoming! The restaurant has had its share of ups and downs but I am happy with how strongly Okane Umi has powered up its menu and added some wonderfully flavorful genuine Japanese dishes.
