“Contemporary Catering is incredible. Period. Hire them. It will be the best decision you make. It certainly was ours. My (now) wife and I spent over a year planning our wedding weekend and Rob, Rachel, and, of course, Chef Nate, were there for us every step of the way. First, the food: It is 5-stars, no joke. I am a “foodie” and a bit of a self-admitted food snob. Honestly, I would drive an hour daily to Encino to eat in their test kitchen 7 days a week if they would let me. Even now, three weeks after our wedding, our guests continue to rave to me about the food (pro tip: you NEED to serve the mini chicken and waffles appetizer). Trust me when I tell you that their execution was flawless and the quality was exquisite. Second, the people: You will not find a more invested, passionate, and sincere team of individuals who love what they do and are so good at it. They are unbelievably responsive, overly generous with their time, extremely attentive to detail and endlessly patient. Without a doubt, we can say that thanks to Contemporary our wedding day was perfect and we are so grateful to everyone on the team. Rob and his team provided so much more value than I ever thought possible. “Yummm. Hijo De Su Madre has the highest rating out of any vegan restaurant within 20 miles of LA, and I see why. It's definitely worth coming out of your way for if you love vegan businesses. I tried the Yucatan sampler platter, and everything was delicious. What really stood out to me was the Longaniza con Papa taco, which is among the most satisfying tacos I've ever had. The potatoes on it were perfect. Another highlight was the pumpkin seed dip. The quality of all the ingredients is great. And if you love a light dessert, try the Crema De Coco. It's not too sweet, the fruit on top is super fresh, and the consistency of the custard is really enjoyable. Plus, the service here is amazing. And the food was ready very quickly. “Bite catered our wedding and did a wonderful job. Their food is so very delicious, and the service was impressive. We had 150+ people and a cocktail style reception. The food served included 7 passed apps, a taco station, and a slider station. Bite was attentive to allergies and dietary needs during the planning and the night of the wedding. Their staff was easy to work with and responsive to our needs. We loved the food and received many comments on how good it was.“

“The flavor of the tacos is good, compared to other taquerias in this area, except that they are tacos with a single tortilla, and in general I like that they serve two tortillas. In general, customer service is not very friendly. They are only involved in their work and don't take the time to say hello or say thank you for the purchase.“

“I've lived in the. neighborhood and always knew Baked It Myself was here but because of work and just being plain forgetful, i never had the chance to try it until a few weeks ago. I've been there once a week since and i'll continue to be a regular. Some of the best food in the area for a great price. I've stuck to their sandwiches so far: hanger steak panini, brie prosciutto and pear and the fried chicken and fries special. all three HIT. and the delicious free cookie with them is icing on the cake.

it's a side street on van nuys, no frills cozy inside with outdoor seating that's actually on one of the nicer feeling streets in this area.

“Awesome tortas, I'm a chilango and these tortas are legit. I came with a party of three and we ordered different tortas. My favorite was the torta chilanga. The order took a few minutes but everything came out fresh. The ingredients looked high quality. These tortas also have the good cheese (quesillo or queso Oaxaca) so that's a plus. The gentleman who took out orders did a great job of walking us through the different menu items and told us which were the most popular. I did ask for a more custom torta and he basically said, no problem we can do that. Aguas were good too. I live in scv but I will be coming out here to get these tasty tortas.“

Haute Chefs are always the first on my list when I have to cater a dinner or event.

Their prices are incredibly reasonable for everything you get, but lets be honest, we're here to talk about their food. Their food is always delicious and portions VERY generous. Their presentation is also something you can't forget about, we eat with our eyes first.

They have also become very conscientious of people's dietary needs over the years that I never have trouble finding gluten-free or vegan options on their menu for those with dietary restrictions.

I was going to list some of my personal favorites, but then the list got very long. However, you can't go wrong with their roasted cauliflower, steak & shrimp. Their charcuterie & cheese board is also very beautiful and delicious with the freshest in-season fruits. Their menu has something for everyone, and they are willing to take any other adjustment should you need them for one reason or another.
