“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

“Warm, hands on and personalized service. A Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant…Food Made from Scratch, fresh, unique, different, and affordable. Highly recommended! The red onion focaccia bread with herb and Parmesan butter, added Burrata - best- seller, a must. The 3 day brined smoked fried chicken-different taste, with soy and Chiles, a must!!!The Peruvian pork belly with sweet potato , Criolla and crispy quinoa , love it! And the Grilled NY steak with green garlic chimichurri, chorizo aioli and pommes pont neuf, thick cut fries…my son prefers over the fried chicken.“

“Went for special holiday meal. Food was delicious. Probably the tastiest chopped chicken liver I've ever tasted. Fabulous brisket, potato pancakes, noodle kugel. Service was extremely good. The server helped make the evening fun. Terrific cocktails helped too. Will eagerly come back to the restaurant for brunch and dinner.“

“This was a delightful, casual dining experience. The space is adequate, but I imagine it's packed during busy hours. Early brunch is a great idea. The service was friendly, the vibes were immaculate, and brunch was actually so much more than I expected!!! I read the reviews, but nothing prepared me for how delicious everything was!! Do whatever it takes to get those special pancakes. And if you like bread pudding, you'll LOVE their bread pudding bites!!“

“The BlackYardhouse in Long Beach is a great choice for happy hour food and beer. We enjoyed the poke nachos (excellent), the Brussels sprouts (also delicious) and a variety of beers. Katie was our server and made our meal even better with her positive and helpful suggestions. This Yard House has the benefit of a great location on the marina, and offers stellar food and beer at terrific happy hour prices. Look no further.“

Very expensive at $500 per night, used the 2 $10 free tickets at bar for 2 drinks and still owed $8.36. This was the host hotel and stayed 2 nights Fri/Sat July 22-23, 2022, with hamburger & soup in room, total $1100. T.“

“Dined here this evening. We enjoyed some Cocktails to start then ordered Beef Tartare, Shrimp with Veg and Roasted Carrots. Entrees varied from Pasta to Ribeye steak and Burger. All delicious. The Carbonara needed more bacon but that was the only issue. Desserts were great. The Espresso wasn’t hot enough for my guest but overall we enjoyed the evening celebrating a birthday. Will recommend to my friends for sure. Would recommend a reservation as it was very busy by the time we left at 6.30 pm“

Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. He provided us with his expertise in choosing our wines, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. It was a pleasure to meet to give special thanks to the Chef, Danny Le and Su Chef, Donald. Their expertise is why we had an amazing and delicious dinner.“

They had a special martini menu for $10 and a delicious happy hour selection. I had wonderful service and attention from the hostess to the servers to the manager on duty. “Wanted-craved-great Italian food. Found it at Love&Salt. Atmosphere was great...we sat at the bar facing the sous chef near the kitchen. The service was personal but not bothersome. We were able to chat and hang out and eat leisurely. We ordered the raddicchio salad for appetizer, then the Rigatoni Carbonara, and the Creste di Gallo Midollo pasta with bone marrow. We finished off with tiramisu' of course. Top notch, definitely coming back.“

“This is a very inviting space. A couple that owns It are right on site. My wife and I both enjoyed our dishes. I was from out of town, but I got the impression they have a lot of regulars that almost become like family. I saw a lot of hugging while I was there. Very quiet. No real signage on the street. Just a picture of a fox on a door. You can also enter through a brewery it is connected to by a stairway in the back of the brewery. Highly recommended.“

“Been coming to North End since 2010. Best gem of the south bay. Some favorites from the lunch menu are the Manhattan, el guapo, Alicia, bolsa chica. The cobb salad. We also get fuego burger or the Jimmy salad. Get the breakfast potatoes too. Pretty awesome place and is right by the strand. My order lately is Bolsa Chica sandwich or old Cobb salad.“

However, Camille suggested a couple of dishes for us and they did not disappoint and in fact I would’ve licked the plates if it was publicly appropriate. While the experience was still positive, a more polished level of service would have made it exceptional.“
