“Let me start by saying this was an amazing wine experience. We visited Sonoma a few weeks ago for my birthday. This was our first tour of our stay and it likely made all the others a slight less enjoyable. Chris was phenomenal. He was so knowledgeable. We walked around the property and learned about the land, grapes, neighbors, natural agricultural techniques, and even the animals on the property. To describe this experience as enjoyable, would be an understatement. We would 100% recommend. Thanks, Chris. It was the perfect start to our week. We honestly compared all the rest in Sonoma and Napa to this one.”

“Ora Beth is by far the most talented and accommodating baker I’ve ever met. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Ora Beth made sure our cake tasting was fun, tasty and organized. Fast-forward to our wedding day, and our wedding cake was my FAVORITE detail of our wedding. The design was elegant and the flavor was a chocolate-lover’s dream—triple chocolate cake with chocolate chips, fudge and ganache. Not only did our cake look stunning at our venue, it was honestly the best dessert I’ve ever eaten. Thank you Ora Beth for your talent, professionalism and attention to detail! We loved working with you and are looking forward to enjoying more of your incredible creations in the future.”

This winery is run by a lovely couple who know all about their wines. The wines are all organic and small batch, with a variety of different taste profiles.
They have a live music stage and run events on some weekends, the next one is on the first weekend of October 2025.
Ask about the Chapman Stick and you’ll get to see (and hear!) a new instrument of which there’s only 200 pieces worldwide”

“Our group enjoyed the biodynamic tractor ride. Darryl was our driver/ host and he was so knowledgeable, he made it very entertaining. We throughly enjoyed every wine in the tasting. Out of our trip including 6 wineries we all picked Benziger the best for presentation, experience, and tasting. We will definitely be back!”

“We are visiting from the Philly area and found ourselves at Jack London two nights in a row. The bartender, Ian, was excited to see us back and had lots of recommendations for the area. We got the chicken pesto sandwich and the pulled pork. Both were amazing!!! Highly recommend if you are in Glen Ellen!”

“An amazing gem—truly a contender for a Michelin star. The hospitality stood out right away: the team prepared a personalized card for our visit and even allowed us to split a wine flight, with several thoughtfully curated options available.

The decor of the place itself was cozy - it felt like you were walking through rooms of a house with beautiful furnishings in each. Loved the wood we sat on and its quality. The main dining area had a great view into a massive kitchen that definitely meant serious business.

The meal itself was outstanding and remarkably filling, with what felt like nearly 20 courses. Highlights for me were the venison, beautifully presented on a deer antler, and the quail, cooked to absolute perfection. Dessert was another delightful surprise, with multiple courses to end the evening, including one paired with fresh honeycomb. Each dish showcased not only exceptional flavor but also creative and memorable presentation.

My only regret was not arriving early enough to try their famous fried chicken at the bar, which requires a separate reservation. Definitely something I’ll come back for next time.”

“Excellent food and amazing service. The black cod was to die for. Make sure to get the onion soup. The chocolate fondant dessert and salted caramel ice cream were delicious. As a person in a larger body I found the chairs comfortable but it was definitely packed full and I was relieved they seated us by the window so it felt like there was more space. The service was excellent and the staff were so nice. Thoughtful wine list at accessible prices. Highly recommend.

“Ate there for the first time yesterday and can't wait to go back. We're vegetarian but had no trouble finding incredible offerings. The mushroom/leek risotto was the best I've had. The sweet corn tamale appetizers were surprising and flavorful, and the grilled avocado tostados fabulous! On beautiful grounds with fresh produce growing beside the restaurant. Staff was friendly and efficient. Just a great experience!”

“I just opened my first bottle of 2021 Zinfandel to go with my freshly butcher, farmed raised, grass fed filet. I moved to Kansas 5-years ago and I’m happy to be able to order my favorite CA wines that I’m so spoiled by. This Zinfandel far exceeds my expectations.
