“My wife and I made a trip from the east bay here for our date night. The sushi was good; my wife really loved the soft shell crab appetizer! My spicy tuna hand roll was good but disappointingly on the small side.

We got a couple of rolls and an udon bowl and enjoyed all of it.

The service was good but I had to remind the waitress to bring our udon after waiting quite a while… not a huge deal but accounts for the 4 star service.

The atmosphere wasn’t intimate at all but the place was filled with locals which we enjoyed.

Overall, a good experience with good food. We’d definitely got again.“

“This took me far too long to write, but I wanted to find the right words to say. My husband and I had been waiting two long years to get married. We postponed twice because of the pandemic and in the course of that time changed our venue to San Benito House. Let me tell you, that was the BEST decision we ever made. Not only is the venue itself incredibly beautiful and the food so delicious, but Kai and his staff bent over backwards for us and all of our guests. Kai is the ultimate hype guy and he took what normally would have been a stressful event to plan, and made it so easy and fun. I would (and will) recommend that anyone who is wanting a Half Moon Bay wedding, that this is the ultimate place to go. Our guests are still talking about the day and if we could, we’d do it 1000 times over just to experience the magic again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! “Quite tasty. Stopped here on road trip down the coast from SF. Burrito (veggie) was enormous but it was so nice I finished it off. The little included salsa and chips bar (emphasis on salsa) went well with burrito. Daughter had a quesadilla that she liked.

I accidentally left behind my backpack with some very important things. We discovered it was missing 1.5 hours away and drive back. They found it for us (via telephone) and saved it for us. Cannot express how relieved we were to recover it.“

“This was my first time visiting this bakery. Nice vibe great pictures, great pastries, and donuts breads. However, out of the staff unfortunately I got the rotten apple. No hello, how can I help? Lol, I got the look as if I’m to now I’m next. I ordered four different kinds of cookies and cannolis. I got four individual bags to carry out the 4 different types of cookies I ordered.? Maybe, I should have asked earlier to put them in a box but Honestly, I didn’t know how much I was going to order. Everything looked delicious! Sometimes common sense goes a long way.? I did ask after if I could please have a box to make it easier to carry the cookies out. She gave me the box and walked away nice!? Trust me, I understand I work retail. However, just remember this one thing… Customers are there keeping you employed with the job whether you’re tired or not whether you wanna be there or not! Treat your customers with respect always!!! Great them with one word “Hello” if anything it’s respect, that’s customer service! Have a great day..

“This place was a great place to stop and get a bite but we got our order to go to enjoy when we got to our hotel but for me the portions were small for the prices but well worth the flavors tiny place with bar style sitting as well as tables and chairs also a adorable option to wear u can sit Chinese style on the floor with a table absolutely gorgeous place.

Parking: We had to do a few loops but we found a spot down the street.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly if your kid likes sushi or rice and meat options

“I am a local resident and I go once a week for a pancake w fruit and a fresh squeezed orange juice. I also stop in periodically during the week for their focaccia bread, pizza, a hit cocoa or a pastry. The family and staff are wonderful and sweet. Everything is delicious and made with love.“

“We came in for drinks which were amazing!! Pretty cheap as well, and such a large selection. I think the actual building and vibe is just kind of funny, but we sat outside and it was nice. “I have been Jonesin for for a lobster roll. I ordered the lobster and cheese sandwich, thinking it would be a grilled cheese with a dash of lobster. Boy, was I wrong! It has a generous helping of lobster, the right amount of cheese and perfect on sourdough! This went well with a black and tan, along with some delicious cheesy tots! This is a really nice, friendly pub and I will be back!!“

“As a vegetarian choosing a dinner meal I opted for the Roasted carrots salad and quinoa pilaf. Looks were deceiving because they didn’t seem like much, other than just some carrots with fresh greens and quinoa and mushrooms with grated parmesan on top. However, I was pleasantly surprised that both dishes were more than ordinary; very fresh and delicious. I’m also glad that I made the last minute decision to order the salad as well for some extra greens to accompany my dinner. Sometimes it’s challenging as a vegetarian eating out, but these were a great pair for a well rounded meal with whole fresh ingredients.

Also to note; the quinoa pilaf description said it had pine nuts and pesto. This dish was very heavy on the mushrooms and I did not taste any pesto nor come across any pine nuts. It was delicious though and I felt better about it not having pesto, as pesto has a very high fat content.“
