“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Navio. It was a memorable weekend with some of the best food I've had in a long time. I apologize for the delay in sharing my review as I initially lost, but later found the pictures from my visit.

The service and beverages were exceptional. My only suggestion is that they should offer more French wine options, but it's not so much a complaint as it is a request.

The food was part of a visiting Chef series, and during my visit, it was the 2023 Global Cuisine Series featuring Chef Miguel Navarro. I thoroughly enjoyed the event and look forward to returning to the restaurant in the future for more outstanding cuisine.“

“We visit this taqueria when we come to Half Moon Bay and have never left disappointed. I love their Piña Loca. It is full of many different things such as shrimp, octopus, pineapple, pork (bacon), and so much flavor it is so good. We also got their Al pastor tacos and Birria tacos witch were also full of flavor and delicious meat. They have a great chips and salsa bar.“

“My wife and I made a trip from the east bay here for our date night. The sushi was good; my wife really loved the soft shell crab appetizer! My spicy tuna hand roll was good but disappointingly on the small side.

We got a couple of rolls and an udon bowl and enjoyed all of it.

The service was good but I had to remind the waitress to bring our udon after waiting quite a while… not a huge deal but accounts for the 4 star service.

The atmosphere wasn’t intimate at all but the place was filled with locals which we enjoyed.

Overall, a good experience with good food. We’d definitely got again.“

“This took me far too long to write, but I wanted to find the right words to say. My husband and I had been waiting two long years to get married. We postponed twice because of the pandemic and in the course of that time changed our venue to San Benito House. Let me tell you, that was the BEST decision we ever made. Not only is the venue itself incredibly beautiful and the food so delicious, but Kai and his staff bent over backwards for us and all of our guests. Kai is the ultimate hype guy and he took what normally would have been a stressful event to plan, and made it so easy and fun. I would (and will) recommend that anyone who is wanting a Half Moon Bay wedding, that this is the ultimate place to go. Our guests are still talking about the day and if we could, we’d do it 1000 times over just to experience the magic again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! To Kai and the incredible staff, you are truly THE BEST.“

“Taste of pizza is a personal preference, just depends what kind and how much cheese one prefers, as well as the crust. To me, this is one of the best pizzas you can find. I would call the style similar to round table, but with thinner and tastier crust. It's not Pizza My Heart thin, it's just a bit ticker. It's well-balanced to compliment the abundant and tasty cheese and toppings. It's both soft and crispy. The prices are great and the people are very nice too“

“Quite tasty. Stopped here on road trip down the coast from SF. Burrito (veggie) was enormous but it was so nice I finished it off. The little included salsa and chips bar (emphasis on salsa) went well with burrito. Daughter had a quesadilla that she liked.

I accidentally left behind my backpack with some very important things. We discovered it was missing 1.5 hours away and drive back. They found it for us (via telephone) and saved it for us. Cannot express how relieved we were to recover it.“

“They have the best pork chops you'd ever eat. The seating set up is spacious, very good looking restaurant, affordable and delicious meals. They have beef steaks, burgers, vegetarian food as well. They do all meals, I.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner as well.

The place has a very chill vibe. I wouldn’t call it a very cozy spot, but it is clean and simple.“

“This was my first time visiting this bakery. Nice vibe great pictures, great pastries, and donuts breads. However, out of the staff unfortunately I got the rotten apple. No hello, how can I help? Lol, I got the look as if I’m to now I’m next. I ordered four different kinds of cookies and cannolis. I got four individual bags to carry out the 4 different types of cookies I ordered.? Maybe, I should have asked earlier to put them in a box but Honestly, I didn’t know how much I was going to order. Everything looked delicious! Sometimes common sense goes a long way.? I did ask after if I could please have a box to make it easier to carry the cookies out. She gave me the box and walked away nice!? Trust me, I understand I work retail. However, just remember this one thing… Customers are there keeping you employed with the job whether you’re tired or not whether you wanna be there or not! Treat your customers with respect always!!! “We came in for drinks which were amazing!! Pretty cheap as well, and such a large selection. I think the actual building and vibe is just kind of funny, but we sat outside and it was nice. Will definitely come back for drinks, and there were some things on the menu we would like to try… but for now I cannot speak on the food besides that it looked pretty good, but seems a bit pricy.“

This is a really nice, friendly pub and I will be back!!“

“I am a local resident and I go once a week for a pancake w fruit and a fresh squeezed orange juice. I also stop in periodically during the week for their focaccia bread, pizza, a hit cocoa or a pastry. The family and staff are wonderful and sweet. Everything is delicious and made with love.“

“As a vegetarian choosing a dinner meal I opted for the Roasted carrots salad and quinoa pilaf. Looks were deceiving because they didn’t seem like much, other than just some carrots with fresh greens and quinoa and mushrooms with grated parmesan on top. However, I was pleasantly surprised that both dishes were more than ordinary; very fresh and delicious. I’m also glad that I made the last minute decision to order the salad as well for some extra greens to accompany my dinner. Sometimes it’s challenging as a vegetarian eating out, but these were a great pair for a well rounded meal with whole fresh ingredients.

Also to note; the quinoa pilaf description said it had pine nuts and pesto. This dish was very heavy on the mushrooms and I did not taste any pesto nor come across any pine nuts. It was delicious though and I felt better about it not having pesto, as pesto has a very high fat content.“

“This pizza was so damn good I’m pretty sure the guy took a slice and give me a pizza without a slice and I’m still giving it five stars because this pizza is so damn good. Buy this pizza. A little bit weird how they cut it into 1 million slices but still buy this pizza. I was here on vacation for one day and bought three different pizzas. That’s good pizza.“

“This place was a great place to stop and get a bite but we got our order to go to enjoy when we got to our hotel but for me the portions were small for the prices but well worth the flavors tiny place with bar style sitting as well as tables and chairs also a adorable option to wear u can sit Chinese style on the floor with a table absolutely gorgeous place.

Parking: We had to do a few loops but we found a spot down the street.

“Little hole in the wall/small Chinese food place. Ate here for lunch with my GF this past Sat. [no luncheon specials are offered on weekends - typical]. So, I had the wonton soup [large - more like a medium though]. Glad I didn't get a small, as the large was 11.95. The wonton were huge/dumpling-sized and were delish. The soup broth was rich and meaty/tasty. My GF had the cashew chicken and ordered steamed rice, which she said was good, for 13.95, plus 2.95 for the rice. Overall, a bit pricey [for the serving sizes] but worth it. The service was solid, as I asked for some chili paste and it was delivered promptly. I deducted for the size of the place and the table wasn't completely clean [table had a bit of a film on it]. If you're craving chinese food in HMB, this is the place.“
