“Tried this place after a late session of pickleball game. Ordered their combination Pho which was good . Service was quick and efficient.

I liked the ambience in there as it was quite spacious. Generally the pho places I've been too tend to be quite cramped but their tables had good room to comfortably fit 6.

I also saw someone order a friend rice and it looked good.

I was satisfied and will be back in future to try out other items when I am in the area.“

We ordered the Dak Galbi (Stir-fried Spicy Chicken) with a side of mozzarella cheese, along with an order of fried dumplings. The dak galbi was packed with flavor, and we appreciated being able to adjust the spice level to something a little milder. Adding the mozzarella was definitely the right call, it melted into the spicy chicken, making the dish even richer and creamier while balancing the heat beautifully. You start with the yukke—the raw beef tartare. In lesser hands, raw beef can be a texture game with no payoff. Here? It’s seasoned with precision, rich, clean, and spiked with an egg yolk that ties the whole beautiful mess together. It’s a declaration of intent: we know meat, and we know how to treat it.

Then, the main event. Plates of A5 Wagyu, Kobe outside skirt, and prime beef tongue arrive, sliced with the kind of geometric reverence usually reserved for fine tailoring. The marbling on the Wagyu doesn't even look real; it looks like a geological map of some frozen, beautiful landscape.

You drop a piece onto the grill. It hisses. The fat hits the element, flares up, and perfumes the air. You don't leave it on long—just enough to get a quick sear, a bit of char, while keeping the inside beautifully rare. You dip it in the tare, put it in your mouth, and it simply ceases to exist as a solid. It melts. It’s an absolute explosion of umami that makes you want to close your eyes and laugh out loud at how absurdly good it is.

Even the sides here aren't an afterthought. The kimchi fried rice has that deep, fermented funk and spicy kick that cuts right through the luxurious weight of the beef, waking up your palate just in time for the next round of short rib.

It’s not a cheap night out, and it shouldn't be. This is a celebration of the animal, handled by people who deeply respect the craft, served in an atmosphere that strips away all the pretentious nonsense of high-end dining and leaves you with what matters: incredible food, good company, and the smoke in your hair. It is, quite simply, perfection.“

“Han Yang is good. It’s also wonderfully old school. Nothing about the place feels particularly interested in being redesigned for Instagram, which I appreciate. You come here for Korean comfort food, metal dishes of banchan, enormous bowls of soup and stone pots hot enough to continue cooking your dinner while you eat it. And that stone pot is where I’d start.

The gondre dolsot bibimbap was fantastic. Gondre is Korean thistle and here it gets worked through the rice with the egg, seaweed and everything else until the whole thing becomes earthy, savory and deeply satisfying. But the best part comes underneath. Leave it alone long enough and the rice against the stone develops that beautiful scorched crust, nurungji, which you eventually scrape loose and mix back through everything.

That combination of the greens, sesame, egg and crispy rice is ridiculously good. There are dishes you finish because you’re hungry and dishes where you keep digging around the bottom of the bowl because you’re convinced there must be another good piece hiding somewhere. This was the latter.

The galbitang was more complicated for me. The beef itself was excellent. Generous pieces, tender, falling easily from the bone and soft enough that our kids loved it. Plenty of green onion, too. My issue was the broth. I prefer galbitang on the restrained side so I can decide where it goes from there. Same reason I like seolleongtang arriving almost defiantly plain, give me the broth and let me dress it up myself with salt, saeujeot or whatever else I want.

Han Yang has already made those decisions for you. The galbitang broth was noticeably sweet and salty and eventually it became a little much for me. That’s preference as much as criticism, plenty of people will probably love it exactly as it arrives. I just wanted the volume turned down.

The banchan was similarly mixed but mostly good. The napa kimchi was solid and nicely balanced. The kkakdugi was particularly good. The mustard greens, however, were ferociously sour. I like fermented food. These had me physically wincing.

The dipping sauce for the galbi was excellent, though and I kept going back to it. Rice was average and a little dry. It did its job.

Service was good and the whole experience was easy. The room itself has some age on it, tables are fairly close together and depending on where you’re seated you may find yourself with a commanding view of the bathroom door. Nobody has ever requested the chef’s table at the restroom, but here we are.

Somehow I don’t particularly mind any of it. Han Yang feels like a restaurant that knows what it is. It isn’t polished into anonymity. People are here eating giant bowls of soup, mixing rice in scorching stone pots and getting on with their lives. And when a restaurant can put something as good as that gondre bibimbap in front of me, I can forgive a dry bowl of rice and a bathroom with excellent sightlines.

Absolutely coming back. And next time, I’m getting that bibimbap again.“

Throughout the years many pho places give very little and tiny portions, but Tasty Pho reminds me of the good size pho bowls one used to get back in the day. Their prices are also very reasonable. Their stuff attentive to your needs.

The broken rice is very complete with the egg quiche, shrimp paste and radish carrot salad for a very good price. No need to go to Little Saigon anymore to eat great Vietnamese food“

The service was very prompt, friendly and helpful - the server understood my not liking overly sweet drinks and recommended the cucumber lemonade as refreshing while still having sweetness. It was, indeed, refreshing and sweet - perfectly balanced flavors. The server also wisely suggested we package the noodles and broth of our leftovers seperately. I chose the Kung Pao Chicken, that comes with the daily soup,egg roll,fried rice and a fortune cookie which is alot for $11.95. They chop up their red pepper into pieces, so it has a kick ! The portions were large enough to make two meals which is a plus. Definitely will be back to try other options on the menu. Especially the hot soups which look amazing. They are closed on Tuesday ,so I had to wait an extra day. A thumbs up to whomever designed their menu, easy to decide what to order and prices displayed clearly 😀.“

“Today was my 3rd time back. I have tried something new off their menu each visit. First visit was General Tso’s (my favorite), 2nd visit was Chicken Chow mein, today is Spicy Orange Chicken (move over General Tso’s, you’ve been replaced!). The staff is always friendly and helpful, the food is really good. When their menu says “spicy”, they mean a nice little kick and not a flamethrower!! I always order to go, 10 minutes and I am out the door. Portions are big (mine always makes 2 meals). I found my new favorite place 😁“

“I stopped by and tried a few dishes. What stuck out to me was how long the food took to prepare when the place was practically empty. I overheard another table also commenting on their wait time for food. Other than that, the food was delicious and the service was fine. The restaurant is pretty old and dingy but I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, I was just there for some food to treat my homesickness.

The salaw machu kreung and the prahok sauce was really good. The frog was alright tbh, I guess I’m not used to it being prepared in that way. Its located on Magnolia near La Palma Ave same center as Popeyes.

Its a mom and pop operation and the food seems home cooked.

“My best friend is Thai and he recommended me this place way back. This has been my favorite restaurant for almost 2 decades. The service is always great and welcoming. Food is always fantastic. Even back then, they served up several authentic dishes that you don't normally see in in typical Thai restaurants, like hoi tod or yum pla duk foo. Here are some of my recommendations:
Beef jerky - a must. It's unlike beef jerky anywhere else. It's tender, light crisp, and super flavorful. I order this every single time
Essan grilled sausage - very well balanced season, doesn't feel too fatty
Yum pla duk foo - fried minced fish on a bed of cabbage and cashew, served with a spicy tangy green apple salad
Tom kha soup - flavorful, sweet and tangy to balance out the creamy coconut milk.
Curry fried cat fish - more on the spicy side but the flavors are so satisfying. However, if you don't like bones, maybe ask if they can substitute for a different kind of fish
Rad na, or pad kee mao or pad see ew - very comforting

“I’ve tried both the dry and soup versions of the hu tieu here, and I enjoyed both. Each bowl comes with plenty of toppings like shrimp, pork , ground pork, fish cake, and quail eggs. You can also choose different types of noodles. The broth is light but flavorful, and if you order the dry version, the soup comes on the side.
The prices are very reasonable, and I think it’s a great value for what you get.
The restaurant is pretty small with only a few tables, but I’ve always been able to find parking even though the parking lot looks limited.
The only downside for me is the business hours. They close at 4:00 PM, which is just too early. I often get off work and want to stop by for dinner, but they’re already closed. Maybe they’re mainly focused on the lunch crowd, but hu tieu is something people enjoy any time of the day. I really wish they stayed open later.“

“I am an owner of a small business and I often bring my 10 employees here for our lunch meetings. I have done this last 5 years or more. The Manager , Nishith , deserves a huge thank you for always getting us seated , served and taken care of before promptly . As a business owner I see the value of what he does for the Olive Garden company as he makes each of our visits enjoyable . The rest of the team here at the Stanton OG are also top notch.. There is another restaurant we used to go to for our staff luncheon / meeting but this is our go to place . This review is long overdue .

“This is now my favorite place for Nem Nướng Cuốn (grilled pork summer rolls). They are only $3.50 each or 3 for $9 (plus tax). The young lady cashier is so nice, she always offer a FREE Vietnamese coffee when I buy 2 orders of 3 rolls each. They are individually wrapped in plastic wrap before placing in the container so the veggies remain fresh and crunchy while the fried rice paper inside remains crispy for hours after purchase. The dipping sauce is full of umami and accompanied by a clove of garlic, fresh grounded red chilli as well as a whole green pepper as pictured. That’s very authentic Nha Trang style.
Go get some! No long wait like B…. Restaurant or subpar quality like food to go places.“
