We had a reservation for 745pm they did not seat us until 817pm. They asked if we wanted to get a glass of wine while we wait which sounded liked they would comp it but they didn’t.
Our waiter checked in once, wasn’t super engaging, and was talking at the front of the restaurant with other staff for most of the time.

Food was really good which is why I gave it 4 stars vs 3. Particularly enjoyed the snapper. We also had the oxtail dumplings, crab cake and the strawberry dessert, all were very enjoyable“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

“Warm, hands on and personalized service. A Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant…Food Made from Scratch, fresh, unique, different, and affordable. Highly recommended! The red onion focaccia bread with herb and Parmesan butter, added Burrata - best- seller, a must. The 3 day brined smoked fried chicken-different taste, with soy and Chiles, a must!!!The Peruvian pork belly with sweet potato , Criolla and crispy quinoa , love it! And the Grilled NY steak with green garlic chimichurri, chorizo aioli and pommes pont neuf, thick cut fries…my son prefers over the fried chicken.“

“For it being u first timing dining out for Thanksgiving I was worried that the nostalgic feeling of a family gathering would be missing but I was definitely wrong. Everyone in the restaurant was having a great time and you could feel all the love and energy in the air. Started with some sourdough and truffle butter and some mezcal cocktails. Both were amazing. Dinner consisted of a 3 course menu and between our party, we were able to cover all items offered. The appetizers were a choice of scallops, crab cake, or pumpkin ravioli. All 3 were so delicious that we wish we don't want to share haha. The main courses were turkey, osso-bucco, or aJohn Dory fish plate. Again, all 3 were so delectable but the turkey and osso bucco were stars because they came with heaping sides. We paired our dinner with a couple bottles of Pinot noir from France. Dessert had a pumpkin pie, French applie pie, or a dark chocolate ganache tart. The pumpkin pie was probably the best I've had. The apple pie was also very good. The ganache tart was decent but very strong chocolate and orange flavors which I wasn't quite ready for. Service was excellent from all staff members and the decor gave you this feeling like you were at home. I will definitely be coming back to have a regular dinner because everything was on point.“

“Went for special holiday meal. Food was delicious. Probably the tastiest chopped chicken liver I've ever tasted. Fabulous brisket, potato pancakes, noodle kugel. Service was extremely good. “This was a delightful, casual dining experience. The space is adequate, but I imagine it's packed during busy hours. Early brunch is a great idea. The service was friendly, the vibes were immaculate, and brunch was actually so much more than I expected!!! I read the reviews, but nothing prepared me for how delicious everything was!! Do whatever it takes to get those special pancakes. And if you like bread pudding, you'll LOVE their bread pudding bites!!“

“It’s tradition now — every time Adobe MAX is in town, I make it a point to stop by Yard House at L.A. Live! The team is always so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely courteous — they make every visit feel like coming home.

The truffle fries and tacos are always on deck, and they never disappoint! Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and just the right portion. And of course, I was so happy to see they still have my favorite Woodchuck Pineapple Cider — that’s my go-to every single time.

Very expensive at $500 per night, used the 2 $10 free tickets at bar for 2 drinks and still owed $8.36. “The best place for an incredible night out in LA!

As soon as we parked the smell of the outdoor grill hit us. We knew we were in for something special.

We were sat immediately with a reservation, and had the best service. Mike was our waiter and was everything you want in a server and more. He was present but not overly so, he knew his wines well, and was clearly very passionate about the food. He’s service absolutely made our night!

The food was the only thing that overshadowed Mike’s excellence, every bite was divine.

We shared the hummus toast, zucchini, Japanese, sweet potato, Shishito peppers. And for mains enjoyed a chicken skewer, lamb chops, and ribeye.

The lamb was seasoned and cooked perfectly, being my best bite of the night, but the chicken skewer won the hearts of the larger group.

We finished off with their chocolate cake which was perfectly gooey in the center.

There is so much more I would come back for. The atmosphere was just spectacular! Beautiful outdoor seating area, suitable for larger groups or small tables. Good music and great vibes.

All in all I’m just upset that I didn’t come try this place sooner. Definitely going to be a staple of mine moving forward.

“I had an amazing experience at Venice Beach Wines! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. The staff was friendly, attentive, and you could tell they really love what they do.

We ordered a charcuterie board, cheesy stuffed peppers, hanger steak, and the VBW salad — everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were on point, and you can tell they use really high-quality ingredients and put a lot of care into each dish.

We went with two bottles of Topette Sauvignon Blanc, which paired great with the food and made the whole night even better. The vibe inside was exactly what you want in a wine bar: cozy, laid-back, and stylish, with amazing energy.

No server leaves the kitchen empty handed and the vibe is to make their customers happy with continuous even flow table service. Disney please take note! I am not of of millennial restaurants where stand at a cash register and pay the tip upfront then assigned a number & number holder then fend & elbow for a table. This is old school service upgraded with innovative traffic management to expedite cuisines & cocktails. I love the intimacy of the raised railroad car booths where I can actually hear my guest’s conversation and speak to wait staff at eye level. And the bathrooms are so modern and spotless! The observation window to see the cooking staff hard at work is as much fun as a cooking show! Chocolate chip cookies are warm but melt in your mouth! “I'm afraid that I found the food uneven. My shrimp and polenta wasn't good, the shrimp were smothered in a Cajun sauce that didn't go well with the Parmesan seasoned polenta. My friends meals were better. Also, they were out of 3 out of the 7 white wines. I like the restaurant but I think it needs work.“
