“Everything was good and some dishes were mouth-wateringly great. Favorite dishes were pork belly noodle soup and spicy chicken wings. Wow. These were both so good. Hadn’t ever had wings quite like this, and I will get them next time I’m back. They were cut up bone still in and fried and had a great sweet and salty flavor. The service was also great. Very polite servers. I’m so glad my friends and I came here on a whim, and will definitely be returning.“

“The name is 3 star ⭐️ but it’s definitely a 5 star especially when it comes to the food , very fresh made with care. Service and staff are nice and attentive, and the restaurant is very clean. To start I have the hot tea ,then garlic chicken, I prefer it crispy crunchy, or fried hard, chicken and shrimp noodle, and my fav green spicy green bean.“

“Great new place for special dimsum fare! They even offer pork xialongbao! Highly recommended ?. Besides the dimsum, they even have different noodle dishes as well as fire fried rice. You guys gotta try their grilled squid. We've already been here twice, and the food is always fire ?. We'll be coming back again to try the rest of their menu.“

“Hands down best Chinese food ever eaten by this mouth. ? can't say enough good things about the man who runs the shop here. If you ask for spicy he will. if you ask for extra spicy he will. Extra cooked (little crispier) he will. The place is take out/pick up only but it is hands down the best. I have been eating here for roughly 7 years and always get the same thing. Never disappoints. My order is shrimp fried rice extra spicy, Mongolian chicken, egg rolls extra cooked. ? sitting here with my order and couldn't believe I never left a review. We'll here it is my friends. Please enjoy! ?“

“The food was great. I ordered the szechwan shrimp. It was so tasty and really filling. Portions were enough at good prices. Great atmosphere and nice hometown setting. The service was non-intrusive but they always knew when I would need something like a water refill. I will definitely come back when in the area.
Parking: One hour limit parking in back of restaurant.“

“I get my lunch takeaways from here. Had a craving for eggplant in garlic sauce. Note: their lunch specials include soup and salad only if you EAT IN. I got an egg roll with my special, so I was happy. Food was hot and yummy, enough left for a light bite at dinner.“

“Solid inexpensive family run Chinese food in a hole in the wall diner atmosphere. Generous amounts of homemade wontons and tender chicken in the wonton soup. Popcorn chicken was tender with light batter and not greasy (would be even better with a sprinkle of furikake or fried basil). The bbq pork chasu fried rice was good (could have used a little more egg, will ask them to add more next time). All fresh and cooked to order. This will be on our regular rotation of quick inexpensive meal options.“

“Happened to pass by this while walking around; so glad I discovered it! I plan to go back soon! I went there for lunch; ordered the dry sautéed string beans with tofu as a lunch combo so it included salad and rice. The flavor was great and the portions are just right.“

“This venue was recommended to us, so we decided to give it a try. My husband loved the peeking duck, and stated this is his new favorite Chinese restaurant! We also had the BBQ pork appetizer, chow mein, Mongolian beef, and sweet and sour chicken without veggies. The beef had more onions than meat but had great flavor, and the sweet and sour was just ok. Everyone enjoyed the BBQ pork.“

“I love the food here. Anytime I go, there's never a lot of people in there and I usually order ahead and pick it up. The Salt and Pepper fish, Shrimp Chow Mein-Skinny and Honey Walnut prawns are what I usually order.
The area has changed a lot, Longs, the Dive Bar and Wheel works are all closed. Safeway is still there and CD is to the right of it.
Parking: Plenty of parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: Parking is not a problem.“

“I've recently both eaten in and picked up frozen dumplings and chive pancakes to make at home. My gut tells me they really want to be take out only based on the interior of late. Which I fine, the food is super easy to make at home and really, really good!“

“I have been coming here for as long as i can remember (and I think my family has been going for even longer! The staff knows us all by now Yolanda and Perry are the best!). The staff here is incredible and will always ensure you enjoy your meal. The prices have had to go up since covid and inflation but that doesn't stop my family from coming in every now and then to enjoy a meal together here. Nothing here ever disappoints us.“

“I've been going to Combo Express for years now, and the food I get is always amazing! The BBQ chicken, chicken w/ spicy salt, and chicken chow mein are all delicious! The potstickers are pretty good as well, but I can't really speak for anything else on the menu. The service is nice, but the inside of the restaurant is a bit lackluster. I don't believe you can dine in anymore, but the food still tastes good with take-out. Overall, they have really good food, and the BBQ chicken is amazing!“

“The food here is pretty tasty, and the soup lives up to my expectations, boasting an authentic Chinese Yunnan style that I absolutely love. I opted for takeout, and while the flavors were on point, my only concern was the slightly high prices for a noodle restaurant. However, considering the delightful taste and the unique Yunnan-style flair, it's definitely worth a try.“

“I love this little hole in the wall! Everything I've ever gotten here is great, and it's one of the only places I've found that my mom approves of their tofu pudding / tofu "flower".
I can't believe some folks are giving low ratings for rising prices... It's the bay area! Everything's expensive and I'm sure his rent has been going up too. Have some empathy for independent shops! No, I've never thought this place was cheap but boba/bubble waffles aren't cheap anywhere else, especially at the large chain boba places.
Go here. The owner(s) are awesome (I think it's run by a couple - it's the same guy everytime I go) and the food and drinks are great. And the vibe is always right. Last time I went they were playing Cantonese Bon Jovi. Support local businesses!“

“Very good. I'm not really a fan of Chinese food but my son asked it was his birthday and the place we usually order from was closed. I have to admit it was really good. I ordered chicken chow mein, fried rice, beef broccoli, sweet sour pork, sesame chicken, and gyoza. Everything was delicious hot fresh flavorful and quick. Keep n mind this was the 4th of July, they were open and the guy who took my order was really nice and attentive. This will be my new spot“

“We went here on a Monday for brunch and we’re a bit disappointed they didn’t have the dim sum carts, I guess they only do that on Sunday but we were able to order dim sum off the menu and everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely go back again but next time we will be sure to go on a Sunday because it’s just so fun picking thing out off of the carts where you can see how good everything looks.“
“First time. Great find! The food was delicious and well prepared. Didn't have that "all day in the steam tray" look and feel that now seems standard at other similar places. Vegies looked and tasted like they were made from fresh. The meats were tender and generous. Sauces light and not overly sweet or heavy. Will be our new go-to Chinese takeout!“

“Incredible food and good price. The 5 spice pork shoulder was massive but the veggie combination and dry fried Sichuan chicken were too small, particularly the dry fried chicken, because even though it was our favorite it seemed to have a disproportionate amount of dried chilies. It would have been a perfect 5 stars if the portion sizing was a bit more balanced and the drink prices weren’t so high“

“My goto for late night (9am-11:45pm 7 days a week). Always good selection and too much food for me (doggy bags to go a must) in one setting. Also, holidays when everyone else is closed.
Vegetarian options: Always ask the waiter. They know best.
Dietary restrictions: L
Parking: Has a 17 or 18 stall Tesla Superchargers just off the I80 Central Street off-ramp in Richmond/Albany area. During the day, the parking lot gets very crowded, but mornings and evenings are fine.
Kid-friendliness: Ok, but children needs supervision.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ok. Wheelchair ramps outside with handicapped parking in-front. Several times, full with handicapped customers inside.“
“My favorite Chinese food in this area ?? me and my family love to get the Hunan Prawns and Veggie Chow Mein. I personally prefer the beef chow mein with extra veggies to have it more balanced and pay a bit extra ? but everything I've had from here is soooo good definitely recommend“

“If you want to get a mound of yummy food for a reasonable price, then I suggest you check this place out! They have trays of food you can choose from and the food is freshly made. You can choose a la carte off their menu or from 1 , 2 or 3 item combo's. It's the El Cerrito Plaza so there is often plenty of parking and the prices are very reasonable for combos which I highly recommend!!“

“It is one of my favorite places to eat and for a great price. I used to love going here when I lived around. Every time I visit, I always have to buy 2 plates. It fills you quickly for worth it. The employees were kind and respectful. Love it“

“Very delicious! I got the chicken and mixed vegetables with steamed rice. Their lunch special came with a corn soup, which was also tasty and a nice way to start the meal. I liked the sauce on the chicken and vegetables a lot. Rice just needed soy sauce. Nice and large portions. Also came with fried wontons and sweet and sour sauce. My husband liked the spicy orange chicken but didn’t find it spicy. We shared the Chinese chicken salad as well. Even their tea was good! Would happily come back.
Parking: Shared lot with laundromat and liquor store, felt safe too.
Kid-friendliness: Noticed a high chair.“

“Rickshaw Chinese Restaurant is a take out only There is no option of sitting down. Henceforth it is take out only. That's a plus you won't have to take out a loan to get good healthy food. There are some benches out sde if you can't wait to get home. It is popular with locals and those in the know. Food is displayed to see sells quickly so it always fresh . Never dried out from sitting at a steam table. Some nights a hour before closing at 8pm they maybe sold out of pork fried rice or barbecue pork loin or sweet and sour pork with vegetable The sauce is not too sweet not too sour. It's like Goldilock's porridge at the home of the three bears just right. Portions are big I can barely finish a pork fried rice with a sweet and sour pork entree. $12.50 includes tax.
The Chef takes pride in making good tasting food a simple menu with something for almost everyone. Yes I am a big fan of Chinese style cooking. Sometimes a simple dish made with care is just as good as a fancy complex food at 3 times the price. Highly recommend for the days you are just too tired to cook or just because you want to to enjoy their food. I only like to post positive reviews of well made foods.
This is definitely positively good food enjoy“

“A location that has stayed in business for years. I recall coming here as a kid for my favorite, sesame chicken. They are still one of the best Chinese spots around the area. I prefer this location over the Richmond and El Cerrito locations. Love their Walnut Prawns and Mongolian beef, must be ordered from the kitchen to be freshly prepared.“

“I wish I could give it 5 stars like I would have in the past, at least the food anyways but the male cousin and his family always had decent customer service but the female cousin was rude, impatient & our order was incorrect by 2 items. It just wasn't the same sadly, I've been going there for over 20 years off & on even as I moved out of state it was always a must stop, I may not visit anymore unless I see the former familiar face. Food wasn't bad though.“

“I ordered the salt and pepper prawns. The food was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. The prawns were served with sautéed onions, jalapeno peppers, garlic and chili peppers. The customer service was warm and inviting from the moment I walked in the door. I was given plenty of sauce but cocktail was not an option. Good thing I keep a bottle in the car! My food experience was like having a date with my taste buds for the first time.“

“Mongolian Beef ain’t that great alright if anything mostly onions beef is not soft. No crispy white noodles not like others I’ve had from Marin County. Thanks though I was craving some but it was worth a shot. I used to really like getting their Singapore noodles with pork. Chinese in Vallejo is probably better at the fast food style options.“

“Idk why people have so much hate for this place. Ive ordered from here a few times and every single time im impressed with how much depth and the flavor has for each dish AS WELL as the size portions of the food. I spent approx 100 bucks for 4 people (thats pretty average these days) for dinner and everyone loved what they got. 3/4 of us were able to order 2 entrees and managed to keep it around 25-30 dollars each and then still had enough food for leftovers later. Tsing Tao (love ya, Tsing Tao) is second to this place imo and ive been going to Tsing Tao since I was a kid. Give it a shot.“

“Best Chinese Food in Vallejo and surrounding area!!!! Food is always made to order very quickly using only the freshest meat and vegetables and sauces prepared daily. The portions are generous, reasonably priced and flavors are on point no matter what you order. Some of my favorite entrees are honey walnut prawns, salt and pepper pork chops, sweet and sour pork, broccoli or Mongolian beef and ALL of the chicken dishes… lemon, Kung Pao, string bean, or sesame chicken! They are all the absolutely delicious!!!The fried rice and chow mein are always a staple when we order and the beef chow fun is amazing!!! They have a number of soups to choose from as well, my favorite being the war won ton! Delicious! My favorite appetizers are the crab puffs, dumplings and the chicken wings with their homemade sweet and sour sauce! It’s out of this world!!!If you haven’t eaten at the China Barn, you are missing out and must try it!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!
Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian dishes or they can make anything to order
Parking: Street parking as well as parking lot behind restaurant/building“

“It’s a hole in wall chinese spot in da hood. ITS MY GO TO ALWAYs! My favorite Chow mien, chicken wings, pot stickers, fried fish(not served often), BEEF WITH BROCCOLI ?! Listen, these places are best when the food is just made but worth it. I always get enough for 3 days. The prices are great! The customer service is well…you get over it. “I’ve been going here since 2007. It’s my go to Chinese fast food. It’s cheap and they are generous with the servings. Depending on my cravings, I can finish 2/3 of the plate but most of the time I can eat the left overs at later meal.I ALWAYS order their Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs, half fried rice and half soy sauce chow mein, with garlic chili oil. The taste was the same since 2007, except, I have not seen green chili on it anymore. When my husband wants some, I’ll order: fried shrimp, beef chow fun, beef broccoli, orange chicken, yunan chicken, and/or veggie mix. It really varies depending on what he wanted that they have when we arrive. To summarize, I will always go back to this place. I travel across California for work. Trying different Chinese fast food in other cities, other than Panda Express, this is my number one place that I will always go back to. I said Chinese fast food, yes? ✌?“
