“We had a great Saturday afternoon lunch. Friendly service and good food.“
“After a day of hiking we wanted to relax with a glass of wine. We just happened to come across Calera. We ended up having the best wine tasting we’ve ever gone to!
Our server, Julie, was knowledgeable about it the wines, their flavors, and where and how they were made. We did both tasting flights, and shared them. So we each got to taste 10 wines.
It was a busy afternoon, so our flights were taking a little long to get to us. Julie acknowledged that, apologized, and brought us another sample to try while waiting.
We also ordered a charcuterie, which was generously proportioned and very tasty.
We enjoyed a couple of the wines, but admitted to Julie that our tastes are generally more suited to sweeter wines. She brought us another wine to taste which was by far our favorite.
We loved how the wine flights were generously poured, and Julie’s attention to detail.
Thanks for a memorable afternoon and wonderful first day of our trip!“

“I have been to this location many times over the last two years. I love there food, there welcoming environment and the staff are so friendly. There food is always tasty my favorite is the pad thai, chicken curry and the egg rolls. I feel like every category is a 10/10 the only catch is the food flavor is inconsistent but no matter what it's always tasty.
Kid-friendliness: With the many times I have been here there is always has kids. The owners are always talking to the family's and entertain the kids. They are very welcoming to anyone and everyone“

“First time here. Inside of restaurant was clean, welcoming, spacious and cheerful. Staff were alert, warm and professional. I ordered the chicken fried rice. I am extremely picky about my food and specifically picky about my fried rice. I give it a 10/10. Service was excellent. Seating was comfortable. This is my "go to" place for Chinese food now. Owner and staff understood and spoke English very well. Also, dining area was very nicely air conditioned! Enjoyed myself immensely.“

“I haven't had Mountain Mike's Pizza in years and decided to have it again. It was very good, we enjoyed it. We ordered a Mt Vegimore with chicken and Sun dried tomatoes. There was a lot of topping on the pizza and it wasn't soggy at all.“

“5 years ago, this place was not great. Not sure when, but I heard there was a change of owner and/or chef. Now, the food is absolutely delicious! Hole in the wall chinese restaurant located in the same car sales lot. Don't judge its book by its cover. Although the interior and exterior are not great to look at, once you get your food, it'll be all worth it. Highly recommend the honey chicken, mongolian beef, house chowmein, and definitely honey walnut shrimp. Also, the portion of food is very generous.“

“Excellent food, Bento Box is great! highly recommend the chicken teriyaki & the handroll california rolls. The white rice was a but bland but other than that the food was flavorful & worth every penny. A bit pricy but if you get the opportunity I would recommend this place.“

“This is one of the hidden jams inside of Hollister for Mexican foodd. I’ve driving by, here but never found it because it’s tucked in the corner of a plaza. They have combination plates, one item two, item 3 item for very affordable prices. I got two cheese enchiladas and a chili telleno and it was perfect.“

“This place used to be off the freeway as you got near Hollister. So when I typed chill and grill. It brought me to its new location it's been 4 yrs since I last visited. Man, the atmosphere was amazing. It was a football Sunday. We walked in and were greeted instantly. Sat just as fast. We trailed as we were in awe of everything going on. Band was setting up. Getting ready to start. They have the nfl ticket, so every game was on or just about over. The place is really cool. Had board games. My daughter instantly gravitated to the Giant Connect 4 game they had . The menu is 1 heet front and back but food options are huge. Pizza bites were good. Garlic fries were ok.. I did feel I could've made them at home but still good. The beer list was huge. Tons of beer options to take home. Take home beer not drink there haha. (Inside menu joke). Over place was cool. My sandwit h was ok. Wife's baked potato was interesting. My son got a street dog.. that was better then my sandwich. I regret not trying something outside my comfort. Place is cool great place for beer and hang outs . I highly recommend it.“

“This was our first time here and we enjoyed it. I had the spicy chicken sandwich which was as advertised. It was crunchy outside, moist inside and the spice snuck up on me. My husband had the El Jefe burger. He said it was really good. We used to buy grass fed beef from a ranch near Hollister and he thinks this beef was from the same place. It was a substantial burger.“

“If you are near Hollister or go to Hollister OHV stop here for breakfast. The service is not quick for a mom and pop shop setup but the bagels are gooooooood. The coffee was good also and there are plenty of donut choices to choose from also. I had the egg which sandwich with sausage and it was really good.“

“This is a casual recently remodeled, local Taqueria in Hollister, CA in the Ace Hardware parking lot next to the liquor store. Has a nice clean, modern vibe with multiple flatscreen TVs to watch all the games and a small bar area. You can get your order to-go or dine-in. They have a nice menu board with pictures and prices. You order at the counter and then they will either call your number for you to come get the food or they will bring it to your table depending on who's working. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but the tacos are pretty darn good. I got the Carne Asada tacos which you can get 4 for around $10-$12 something like that. They are nice and juicy and the sauce is a little spicy but not overwhelming. My daughter got the shrimp tacos, which looked pretty good, and were extremely juicy looking and so good she even ordered more when she was finished and at $3 each not bad. The only thing and I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly when I ordered nachos a while back, they were not that great as they used what look like 7-Eleven cheese. For the price for the nachos and being a Taqueria I was expecting they use grilled cheese and melted on the order not some liquid cheese from a bottle or jar. So basically, to recap, I would highly recommend the tacos as they are delicious, but hold off on the nachos until they get better cheese. The only thing I wish they would put on the tacos would be a little bit of cilantro, but other than that they're still pretty good. Non-alcoholic beverages are a little bit overpriced. I mean for one can of soda it's $3 and for 1 bottle of the Mexican sodas, which she usually get at the store for $1 - $1.25 are around $4.25-$4.50 for 1 bottle.... they probably get them at Costco and cost under a dollar apiece and I get it. They have to mark it up and make a profit but that's ridiculous. Either way, I still recommend this Taqueria as the services good and the tacos are definitely good!!! 👍🏼“
