“Usually, my wife and I go in the mornings to have coffee and some pastry. We like to sit outside to enjoy the food and service. However, in the past couple of months, there have been these guys just hanging around the outside and smoking. Being a non-smoker, it really bothers me, and I have seen other customers being bothered by it as well. Even Porto's employees have asked us if it bothers us.“

“What a delightful bakery and coffee shop! I stumbled upon this gem looking around Chinatown for some boba. Their drinks are on the steeper side but they are so good!! Even the cups are cute. I saved my cup after the boba cause the quality of it is so well made that I have to use it again. For 2 milk tea bobas it was $11.They specialize in custom cakes and had a few on display that were mind blowing. The Hello Kitty goth cake was next level.You can find baked treats, custards, mini cakes, and snow ice here ☺️?There’s some seating inside and along the window a few tables and chairs. “I came here to try the cakes. We got the sampler box and was so impressed with the cakes itself. They were extremely tasty, flavorful and rich with flavor. The service was great. It was a small little place with some seating outside. There is also a coffee shop next door if you want to grab some coffee to eat with your cake. We really liked the ube cake, black sesame, Belgian chocolate and lavender lemon.“

“Ordered the 12" Square famous Strawberry Whipped Crème cake for our monthly office birthday celebrations-- and it was a total hit for 40 sweet tooth employees (serves up to 50 I think). Very fresh and sweet fruits and the whipped crème was light and delicious. Cake also moist and just a touch of sweet. Easy to cut but it's a very tall cake so needed help to keep the slices in tact haha I was in awe watching the owner (?) freestyle write a birthday message on the cake with such ease. Very kind staff (even made sure we wanted the nuts on the outside out of concern for any food allergies). Would order again for sure and look forward to trying more of their confections!“

Honestly, we still had other cake shops to visit, but it was his attentive service that made us decide and place an order on the spot. I can't wait to receive our cake so I can show the pictures. If you're coming from Barrington and turn right on Olympic, it's easy to then turn right on the street that JFB is located. “This is actually one of the nicest BR I have been to, ever. It is very modern with dine in, carryout, AND drive-through options. It is clean and well lit as well as well stocked. I liked this place because they had a lot of other dessert treats besides just ice cream. Treats like their standard ice cream cakes and bananas, but also different ones like their mango fruit bars and mini personal ice cream cakes. The service was ok. There were four employees, and it seemed that if you don't let someone help you right away, you may have to wait a bit. I think just know what you want when you get there and it should work out fine. Also, I'm not sure about your local BR, but ours does not accept the deals offered through the app on our phones. I suppose they are an independently owned BR? Generally, what they offer aren't fancy but are solid basic korean-style pastries. I especially like their white bean pastry. And my goodness, they do not skimp on their fillings!
