50 Best Seafood Restaurants near Imperial Beach

“I've been a fan of Briantine fish tacos for years- primarily at the Del Mar location (outside of Fair and Racing seasons, lol). I was meeting friends for lunch: one who lives in Imperial Beach 1 Bay Park- me in Carlsbad. It is a smaller location than Del Mar- but right across the street from the IB plexi surfboard sculpture, the beach and the Ocean. I had a passionfruit spicy margarita. We made a rsvp for noon and sat on the patio out front. The wait staff was great, the food was great, and it was not too warm. Since I live and work around North County- I often pass by IB on my way to the Border and CBX and think about how I used to visit often- because I was a chamber rep for my organization at the time. Last Friday the space and this old school beach city reminded me of summers as a teen. It even smelled like summer. I totally enjoyed everything about the lunch ! As is my habit- I totally forgot to take pics of the food and drink- but trust me- it was perfect!“

“First time eating at N&N Creole Soul Kitchen and Beignet Bar, and I highly recommend! 🤩 Small Mom & Pop restaurant in Imperial Beach, portion servings were huge, and prices were reasonable! The customer service was amazing & the food was amazing! Chef Nakia & Chef Antuan were so kind to come out and meet us! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ And the beignets, OMG!! I'll be back soon!! ❤️“

“I visited this place at 2:30am; I was not expecting much but I was wrong, they offer a large menu and all food was available, I ordered 4 different meals and all of them were served warm and were delicious. They offer some home made salsas and pickled chiles that taste so good! The best of all was the service, the gentleman serving the food was very friendly and generous 10/10“

“The food was delicious. The service was so so. They even removed my drink and utensils while I was still eating and did not bother to bring them back. How is a customer supposed to eat hot soup without utensils or a beverage to wash it down? How is a customer supposed to eat the salad bar or hot food with out utensils, napkins or drinks. I even paid $3.59 plus tax for a beverage. I got the all you can eat salad bar. The restaurant had only 3 or 4 tables full and was not busy. However since 1 lady was mopping they forced me out of a clean table into a dirty table. I prepaid my salad barmeal and also paid extra for my soda. I even left a good tip. However they did not even offer me toast and even took so long to come by. Then when they did they took my soda cup and utensils. I was there over 30 minutes.“

“It was our first time, and the experience was better than expected. The Easter brunch, a three-course meal, was excellent. Table service was friendly, timely, and the food arrived as ordered. The GM visited to check on us, which was greatly appreciated. They also have an incredible wine selection. We will be back. If I had to offer feedback for improvement, brunch should have more egg options, and more of the wine list should be available by the glass. Cheers.“

“My fav little spot to visit for lunch whenever I get into SD. The loaded oysters, I had both styles, and Catch of the day was delish and filling.

Side note: If you are on GLP-1 user or have a smaller stomach, this is a perfect spot to fill up and not feel over-stuffed. Catch of the Day is my recommendation.“

We ordered two EPIC hot lobster rolls (Connecticut style, warm with butter) and although they were delicious, for the EPIC PRICE OF $39 PER ROLL, it was very skimpy compared to what you get for that price in New England. They stack it high in the middle and don’t fill the bun to the ends to make it look super full. It’s not. The New England clam chowder was great though.“

“I'm giving it 4 stars because lately, the tortillas taste OLD. Before the tacos were soft, not chewy. The tostadas were breakable and crunchy. Lately, they are not that breakable and crunchy. The service is excellent!

“This truck has better tasting seafood than most seafood restaurants! Amazing grilled fish taco with fresh fish that melts in the mouth 😋😋😋 Fresh oysters with tasty sauces, bits of seafood and shrimp (they called them prepped). Also a great selection of salsas, complimentary lemons and marinated onions. Wasn't a huge fan of smoked tuna taco though. Decent amount of tables (standing and with the seats) with a tarp cover on top. Highly recommend!!!

“This place was a pleasant surprise! My boyfriend and I ordered the combo meal with 3 tacos, fries and a drink. The tacos were so flavorful and delicious. He got 1 steak, 1 chicken, and 1 shrimp and was very satisfied. We even contemplated going again that night but we missed their closing time by 30 minutes. The only not so good thing were the fries but overall 10/10 highly recommend.“

“We went for Father's Day, reservations at 11. We were seated immediately and our server and service were fantastic. The food (Joe's Classic Sampler appetizer, Broiled Seafood Platter, Captains Plate, and Not Joe Mama's Chicken) were soooo good, but sooo much food that we all took at least half of our main courses home. We also had the apple crumble for dessert (which is why we took half of our food home because we wanted to leave room for dessert!). It was the BEST apple crumble we've ever had. And can't beat the view...right on the water. Highly, highly recommend Joe's Crab Shack!“

Being at the 5 o'clock hour when it's actually scarce lots of open tables. My wife had to sit underneath the lower portion of the roof as I'm too tall. I get the view of the harbor she gets the view of the corner. Our table leaned along with needed leveling support because it rocked back& forth. It's not rocket science, fix it!! Service actually sub par never asked if my wife would like more coffee. Did ask how the food was. The food was excellent. The table next to us which featured a view for both of us was occupied by a single person working on their computer. Thankfully my original backup plan came through the night before where we were able to dine at Lelia's. At the end after being dessert & we declined. Our server can't back with a bowl of ice cream a lit candle a nicely wished us a happy 20th. They didn't have to do that it wasn't expected but we were $$ thankful. We'll return again like I said the food is awesome. But they seriously need to do some maintenance.“
