“A combined birthday celebration and a 50th wedding anniversary. This was a big night out for the four of us, and it was a wonderful evening. Initially there was some confusion with the address and GPS because there are so many places called “Indian Wells”. And the building that IW Live is in looks like a private condo building. Perhaps when it was called Frank’s Place there wasn’t this confusion! Food and service was outstanding and we found the prices reflected the quality. The entertainment started promptly at 6pm. Marc Antonelli and Maureen MacDonald (a lovely Canadian singer!). There are two sets to their program. We wish we could have stayed for the second set, because the set list would have been more to our liking — more celebration music, rather than somber Classic (opera) music and a sad song to commemorate 9 / 11. The Prayer, by Carole Bayer Sager. But the singers have wonderful vocals!
To top the evening off, the staff presented our table with beautiful desserts, one for the birthday, one for the anniversary! Thank you!“

I have had it in the past and it was always very good but last night I had to load it with lemon, salt and pepper. I finally gave up on the pasta as it was congealed and just plain awful. I gave up and ate the seafood. The waiter offered to take it back but the elders that I had brought to dinner were almost done with their dinner so I declined.“

We wanted to try a Coachella Valley favorite- the date shake.
We came across Lappert’s and decided to give them a try.
The store has a fun vibe to it. The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful. It looks like they have a very broad and creative menu, and can make just about anything that one could imagine. My husband ordered the date shake and I opted for the small cup with 2 generous scoops.
The standard cookies and cream was probably the best version I have ever had. It appears as they make all of their ice cream themselves.
For my other scoop I tried the Navels and ganach. What I really liked was that it was an orange ice cream and not a sorbet.
It tasted like one of the boxed chocolate flavors.
I would say the real winner here was the date shake. It has a very unique flavor, but not too strong. They used date ice cream and vanilla ice cream.
I would definitely recommend Lappert’s!!“

“This was the best Peruvian food hands down made by Peruvians so the taste was authentic with authentic ingredients. My wife and I met the chef and she’s so passionate about her food and was very friendly. Think it may have been family working there every one was so polite and friendly engaged in conversation about Peru. My wife and I had the lomo saltado and I had to get the ceviche con chicharron it was absolutely delicious. We usually make stops throughout the places we visit to try the Peruvian food and this is it. The ceviche was fresh and had all the authentic ingredients it’s like if we were sitting in Peru eating. This is going to be our go to spot when visiting the area.“

“Had an amazing meal at La Baguette. The Banh Mi was so good we had to order extra bread to take home. They bake it fresh every day, and you can really taste it. The pork and shrimp spring rolls were also fantastic, but the real star was the dipping sauce. It was so good, we were tempted to drink it straight haha. Seriously, I’d come back just for that sauce alone. The staff were amazing too. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to for the Banh Mi, spring rolls, and that unbeatable sauce. Highly recommend!“

“My favorite restaurant in the Coachella Valley, they maintain a calm and friendly atmosphere even during a lunch rush, the food is all of good quality and has never disappointed me. Many locals have been coming here for years and are pleasant to nod a head at. The Eggs Benedict with spinach on a crepe (potatoes provençales on the side) is my favorite order. “Stopped at Shields today. We had breakfast, followed by a walk around the gardens. So many trees had fruit on them, just going to waste. Signs all over saying "don't pick the fruit." Instead of letting the fruit rot on the trees, why not pick the fruit to sell or even donate to a food pantry? I was saddened seeing all the fruit going to waste.“
