“Wanted to try this place since it's in my backyard and surprise to find that their pho is delicious and comparable to some pho places from Westminister. The price is lower than most pho places in 626 but the meat portion is less. It makes me satisfied that I was able to finish the bowl though. The proportion is just perfect for people who just want to feel satiated. The service is great! The man who serves there is always smiling and friendly to their customers. He even explained that they don't put MSG on their broth which is even better for me! If you want to try the Oxtail Pho come early because they sold out at night. Although I prefer their Filet Mignon Rare Steak more than the Oxtail Pho. I hate ordering pho for to go so if you need a spot where it's quick and easy this is the perfect place.“

“If you haven’t been here before the setup might be confusing. You should head all the way to the back, go to the cashier, tell him the number of people, get a table number from him, and then get a bowl and start putting stuff you want in the bowl. The bowl is weighed and charged by the pound, but you don’t pay until you’re done eating. Then you hand the bowls to the cashier to order what type of soup you want. They hand you order numbers and you go to your table and just wait for them to bring you food. You can also make sauces at the sauce station. When you’re finished, bring your bowls back to the front and pay.Also note that you get one tong for picking up all the foods, so if cross contamination is a concern or you have food allergies, this might not be the best place to go.The lady in the front was not helpful and just shouted Chinese at us and acted like we were in her way for not knowing the rules. Some of the customers tried to help us too, but they should really just post the rules outside the store or in front of the front door to help newcomers. I think if you look East Asian, they will assume you speak Mandarin, so you should mention that you don’t speak it to clear the air. The rest of service was fine and nice, just the initial confusion didn’t feel very good.“

“We love coming to this place for a Thai cuisine! I would say the service rates three out of five since they are so busy, and take quite a while to get you seated. However it's doesn't come as a surprise, the food is amazing. Typically always pair my curry or the pad sew with one of there Thai iced tea. Overall, this is the best Thai spot in Rosemead area. Atmosphere is cozy but definitely on the loud side your looking for a romantic spot this wouldn't be it. You“

“So good! We had the spicy beef soup with wide noodles, the chow mein with triangle noodles, and the pork burger. All were very good! The beef noodle soup was great and the chewiness of the noodles was fantastic. Will have to return and try many more things. The chili oil was on point. “Had a good time hanging out with my friends. Self-service picking ingredients: vegetables, meat, fish balls, shrimps, noodles, tofu, etc. You pay per pound. I feel good with a lot of varieties. After picking ingredients, you can choose soup from four different soup bases. They will cook and serve you in a big bowl. I love marinated chicken gizzards. I tried mild spicy original bone soup. Would love to try the same soup with medium spiciness and also tom yum soup.“

The meat to rice ratio was perfect for my preference. The place is simplistic and clean. Random, but it was fun to see the steam rise from the clay pots every so often inside, and it feels like a huge humidifier. No issues at all with the service, our waitress was very kind to explain how to pick out and order the clay pot combos.“

“My favorite restaurant in Arcadia. I highly recommend the liang pi (cold noodles), ziajiang (dry noodles), and Guilin soup (noodle soup). Plus their Guilin soup is my go-to hangover soup dish. Their vermicelli bowls and rice plates always hit the spot and the sides of egg and pork loaf and shrimp paste wrapped in tofu are tasty as well. You do not need the sweet fish sauce because everything is so flavorful by itself, but it's definitely a nice addition!However, I don't necessarily care for the soups here. Their pho broth is a little bland and imitation crab meat in the seafood soup someone in my party ordered was still cold in the middle.“

The place feels family owned and operated and this was reflected in the friendly, warm service. I came in on a cold evening, looking for some warm soup. So I ordered the beef noodle soup. I ended choosing the thinner, hand stretched noodles (as apposed to the thicker knife cut variety), because it seemed like it would go better in the soup. The noodles were very well done and chewy. Great texture to go along with the comforting spicy broth. I also ordered fish and leek dumplings. Great flavor and structure. I took most to go because the two dishes I ordered was a lot of food. I enjoyed the vibe here. While I was eating, there were two ladies preparing dumplings off to the side. It reminded me of my mom and aunt when I visit my parents. So there was a nostalgic factor. Like a lot of other restaurants in the area that I really enjoy, this place feels like a great value for delicious noodles and dumplings because of their great selection and very reasonable prices.“

So, instead, we decided to go Sosom Ramen Bar & Bossam. Luckily, when we got here, it was nice and empty. We got seated right away, and the order was taken really quickly. This was our second time coming to this place. The first time we came, I dont remember much, but we decided to come back anyway. This round was much rememberable. The waiter was on top of everything, making sure we had refills on our water and gave us extra sides. He checked up on us multiple times to see if we needed anything else. Honestly, the food was just perfect. Like 10 min into our dinner, the restaurant started to fill up. The vibe with the customer everyone enjoyed their food. If you want to try Bossam, this is going to place. I don't think they will let you down. Meat is super tender, and the sauce is yummy. Just writing this makes my mouth water.“

“On a Tuesday evening around 6PM, there was only one other table seated, and the employee was mixing ground beef.She was very sweet, and offered suggestions despite the language barrier. She also asked if I needed utensils or napkins with my to-go order. The place did give off authentic vibes, with there being minimal english throughout the restaurant (e.g. menu, spoken language, etc). We ended up getting food to-go: - Chongqing Noodles $8; very simple noodle dish with no soup. Szechuan, numbing flavor, with one fried egg and a dan dan noodle texture. I prefer my noodles bouncier, so it personally was not a favorite.- Shrimp Wonton $11; not much shrimp flavor. More pork than shrimp. I wouldn't get either of these again, but their rice dishes look promising.“

“My family and I are from Xinjiang. it’s super rare to find an authentic tasting dish from our region, but this place knocked it out of the park. The chef is a Kazakhstan, and makes the best hand pulled noodles. We eat here at least once a week.“

I like that you can choose between rice or noodle soup when it comes tot heir entrees. They also have a wide selection of drinks to choose from so overall it's a great spot to add to your rotation.
