“It was an absolutely lovely afternoon: food (bites) and wine pairing was spot on! Food complimented the wine, without overpowering it. Nice flavor subtleties.... creative, seasonal with a nod to agricultural stewardship (featured walnuts instead of almonds in a delicious white gazpacho.) Chef Oscar was approachable, friendly and very kind. Ditto with VJ, and well Jeffrey Mayo is a impeccable host. Wines were delicious, subtle and balanced, obviously created by well informed palettes. Went home with more than my share:-). Cannot wait to go back. Loved that the "reserve room;" was not stodgy, the garden area felt like we were sitting visiting with someone in their back yard.. Guess we were.”

“This has been one of our favorite wines since we tried it over a decade ago when our friends got married here. As members, wine tasting is complimentary, and they are pretty flexible about which wines and how many you get to try. All the wines were excellent, especially the Zins which they’re known for.”

You have a beautiful, miniature piazza that reminded her of our visit to Italy. A warm welcoming and very attentive staff. The food was perfect. I cannot recommend this establishment enough.”

“I think it is mandatory for a winery to have a lovely building and grounds. That said, the building here is very stylish and impressive. The wine is of course lovely and the customer service was excellent as well. Very much worth your time if you are wine tasting.”

“LaSalette was a fantastic experience. The restaurant is beautiful both inside and outside, with a warm, charming atmosphere that’s perfect for a date or a small family gathering. I came on a Thursday evening, and it had a relaxed, welcoming vibe.

I ordered the Portuguese-style chicken with Spanish rice, and it was delicious. The flavors were authentic, well balanced, and the portion was just right.

The staff were kind, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. I highly recommend LaSalette if you’re visiting Sonoma and looking for a memorable dining experience.”

The experience was intimate, personable. From the champagne on arrival, to the photo opportunity located at the best view of the vineyard on the property, to food and wine pairing where the the tartlet was indescribable. Listening to Tyler, a native Al, provide the history of the vineyard and background of labeling. Just an awesome experience, Visit, you will not regret it!!!”

“We booked a tour and tasting on a lovely sunny day. We were joined by four other people. We enjoyed everyone's company, swapping Napa notes, while learning about the Cakebread family and wines. We were given a welcome taster of Rose while we waited for the session to start. An informative video was playing in the large room. Four wine tasting stops while we gained more information from our host Jeff. Seeing the tank and barrel room was interesting, as was getting to taste finger limes from the garden. A nice bottle of Cabernet was purchased for the suitcase home.”

“Rombauer was an incredible addition to our April 2026 trip to Napa Valley. The property is massive and easily accommodates larger groups and special events. With stunning views and engaging tours, this venue was surely a highlight from our trip. The cave & barrel portion of the tour was our favorite!

Kevin R. was our host and he was FANTASTIC. He offered delicious accompaniments with our tasting from a local chocolatier. I'm still dreaming about them! We truly enjoyed him and hope you're lucky enough to have him host your tour, too!

It should come as no surprise that Rombauer wine is delicious and a staple to your wine collection. We were able to sample their sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, and a few reds, rounding out a wonderful tasting.

How often do you get a personal tour from the winemaker himself? Chris was incredibly down-to-earth, welcoming and passionate about what he does. He has a great way of breaking down the winemaking process into simple, easy-to-understand explanations that made me feel comfortable asking questions and truly enjoying the experience.

The wines were fantastic, and the entire visit felt personal and authentic. I’m already looking forward to my next trip back to Sonoma. Until then, I’ll be enjoying these fabulous wines from home!”

“Violetto was a lovely experience. The staff all around have hospitality mastered. The chef chooses to tell stories with his offerings and uses local ingredients (from as close by as the property garden). There is a sense of playfulness in the menu and plenty of spaciousness to interact with each course (plates are coming carefully timed for savoring). The host, manager, bartender, and waiter were all attentive, knowledgeable, approachable, and chose to appear unhurried (which is an art in any restaurant!). Memorable meal! We will return when we are back in the area.”
